I played with a guy who really only wanted to use the wolves. He insisted we take them into the Bossfight, and we ended up using mammoths and sloths to tank while the wolves did the damage. Honestly, it worked pretty well, but that guy did add a mod so dire wolves could get saddles, which definitely screws with the results. I have seen two other people use dire wolves against the bosses without saddles, however: Syntac and Rampy. But they do require so much more effort than other creatures do to be boss capable.
Also, I’m so sorry about your mouth. I appreciate all the work you put into these videos, with or without the extra pain, and I especially appreciate that you were willing to suffer to give us this wonderful Contant. I saw when Syntac used them on fjordur vs the world bosses. There they are actually good, since you can have as many as you want, and you get to use fenrir with them.

They will SHRED a boss but you absolutely need something to tank for them. I tend to use a pair of mate boosted rexes or yutys.

I think for pure tanking, the stego makes the most sense

@@SpartacusSurvives It's also for size, since bosses tend to target the largest dino in the arena first and having something that's obviously much larger helps with that

The Dire wolves also receive MORE damage instead of less with the pack boost, 3.5% per member up to 4 to be more exact, however they compensate it with the howl buff, for more info check Pack Boost article on the wiki, it is relatively new article there
