- Today we take a look at one of my favorite creatures in the game, the almighty Deinotherium. This thing is Insane! And it might just be the best boss dino in the game. Let's find out!

I highly recommand you using the Upgrade station mod I'm using it for modded dinos (garuga's, tylosaurus...etc) since you cannot find their saddles in drops, and for those wondering it is not an overpowered mod because the grind to get these upgrades is very well balanced, for every upgrades you will need always more materials so you will have to farm A LOT yet it feels rewarding in the end.
On my server we have a kind of role play rule where we authorized ourselves to use the upgrade station only for modded saddles so that we still have to farm drops for the vanilla creatures, in this way it feels even more legit to use this mod.
Love your videos keep up with the great content and have a nice day friend👌
Thanks, man! I might explore the balance of that mode in a future video, since it does help a lot with moded dinos.
Will be testing how the merexas does against the bosess
Got to do the Tylosaurus VS Mosa video first.
When do u think u ll have the merexas video out?
Thanks for making this video pls more solo modded dinos videos , im excited for that tylo vs mosa. I remember that i suggested if you will do a video about deinotheriums , did you took inspiration out of that?
Glad you enjoyed it. I am too! Hope I will finish that one faster:))
Does the deinotherium fit into the tek cave entrance?
The target dummy is rly bad for testing this guy (and in general), it doesn't actually do 100 base dmg. Against the Ape boss it's attacks multistomp/sidestomp/tuskswipe have base 50/120/115 dmg. Much better to test on wild creatures with dmg numbers on than the dummy.
It's damage is kind of weird, it does less dmg to herbivores but isn't super consistent. In terms of dps it's slightly higher than rex but not by a ton, the big problem with using this guy for more than support is getting them all to fit on the boss portal. Also keep in mind it's saddle armor is a bit lower, I think it's the same as the paracer saddle cap. 282.2 on unofficial, I think 99.2 on official but didn't test that.
Yeah, their stomp attack uses explosive type damage, which causes inconsistency in damage numbers when attacking different types of creatures (herbivores have damage reduction on explosives, with few exceptions like bronto for some reason). But this also means they can deal full damage to rock elementals when using stomp attacks.
@@hyrax2330 omg thank you that explains everything, was so confused why brontos were taking same dmg as rexes
HP/Melee spread on those Certas?
26.5k health and 950% melee damage. Keep in mind you need a very good saddle on the yuty to tank the damage.
Garuga added saddles for all Ark additions to the loot table of supply drops, I’m sure deinotherium will be super viable now
Absolutely!
95? But the saddle is unlocked at 85
There has been a little bit of balancing since i made the video. High-quality Saddle for these guys can now be found in drops/crates
I can completely understand why they're not official.
These things are units
Absolute tanks. No regular official creatures come close to them.
Both armies won’t perform the same because the army with 20 dinos won’t all be able to hit the boss
Depends on their size
I choose deinotheriums instead of theris
As ps5 player I get to roleplay the lord of the rings finally
Even thinking about that gives me goosebumps.
What are your breeding and imprinting settings?
I think they were around 1-1.1k melee, and 60-64k health. 100% imprint, no mutations. But the saddle part sucks.
@@SpartacusSurvives No, I am talking about your settings
Mating interval: 0.5
Egg hatch: 5
Baby Mature: 6
Cuddle Interval: 0.25
Defiantly not the best for SP. Check out Phlinger's Best Settings for SP video. I spend most of my time in the game testing different things, and for that I use console commands.
@@SpartacusSurvives Thank you so much been trying to find some decent breeding settings
