Unfortunately my recirculate mechanism took a dive in the upper right corner between evap box firewall, its huge and wedged in there at an angle. I have done the heater cores before on gen4. My question is this...if you remove the upper right bracket and the middle bracket bolt will there be enough play on the black box downward to put that mechanism in or do you think the inlet/outlets through firewall will restrict it? I really wish i could find a process showing the box removal before I venture into it...any advice is appreciated.
Hey there, I own a 2002 Ford Taurus SE, 134,000 miles on it. I’ve had it for over two years and the heater has never worked. I’ve replaced the thermostat, the water pump, I’ve flushed the entire coolant system, flushed the heater core THEN replaced the entire heater core, replaced the blend door actuator and replaced the cabin air filter. NO HEAT whatsoever, do you have any idea what my issue could be??
John E Yeah all the fuses are working, I’ve checked each of them in both fuse boxes plenty of times. The only conclusion I can make is that the actual blend door flap within the HVAC/Heater box behind the dash is what’s defective or damaged, but I don’t know the part number or name for it
Hey I'm just curious about something...is your heater core laying in there on an angle? The reason I asked that is because I am going to attempt to flush my heater core this weekend. I was hoping you can tell me whether it's easier to get those clamps from under the hood or is it easier to do it floor underneath?

How about changing your PCV elbow that has the white goop all over it. It's only $13 at AZ
Did you have to remove the entire heater box from the vehicle, or did you just pop the top off?

Control unit? Hard to tell without seeing it. Did you check all the fuses and relays.

You could really use a tripod to hold the camera still. All of the movements are hard to watch.
