- I've never reviewed a US Military Ration so fresh and new! Luckily I found a full case of 2021 Meal Cold Weather MREs.The MCW replaces a Meal Ready to Eat in cold environments. Taste Testing this one was a pleasure! The freeze-dried main provides a massive portion of food while remaining lighter than a MRE pouch. It also cannot freeze due to cold weather because it doesn't contain water.

@@jcsopinion3899 so i couldn't post the link here but if you copy paste this -E safety supplies cold weather MREs- it pops up on the site. If you go to the site without the search it doesn't have MREs in the menu options which is weird lol. They are $99 sure as shit.
@@FRANK45CASTLE word my friend …. Oddly how it’s buried . Yeah, I ordered a box apx 125 delivered. At best deal one might find one of those meals for 30 delivered or that plus shipping. What would be 360 individually as a total …. Yet fresh & 125 to the door for 12. When the comic book was written wayyyyy back in the day was better then the last 3 movie attempts. I’m sorry , graphic novel to those that never had comics. 😂

Great review. I was wondering if you got them from esafety supplies. Was just checking that website out earlier this week. Great deal for 99 bucks! I really enjoy this menu!
When I found out about these on esafety I couldn't pass it up. 10 bucks a meal for MCWs is just fantastic.

Certainly a large meal which would be good for cold weather, I really enjoy cornbread, and with the cranberries I think that would be a good combo. As you said, DEFINITELY not keto friendly, lol. I’d definitely prefer a different cold beverage, not a big grape fan either, but hydration is hydration. Massive main that would fill your stomach but all those carbs might leave you feeling drowsy afterwards. All in all a pretty decent meal on a cold day. Nicely done as always RR, thanks for sharing!

When it comes to mountain house foods you always add less than directed water unless it contains rice from all my experience taking them camping. I added the recommended amount on the seafood chowder and it was a damn soup
👍 loving the review!! Cranberries not being labeled osmotic surprised me. MCW mains when rehydrated seems to make it into super huge portions, perfect if you are starving, lol! If I am looking at that correctly, the place where you ordered it from, I might know the area, lol!!! I should go check that place out.

If the Beef Stroganoff is by Mountain House, it's my all-time favorite MH meal.
Being on blood-thinner (PE/DVT issues) I cannot eat cranberries, as it counteracts the medication. Same with grapefruit.
I had PE last June. In '21. They put me on eliquis. There arent many contraindications for that one

Mountain house used to be a quality company. Im not so sure of that anymore. When they took the hash browns out of the breakfast scramble, that was it for me

The UK cold weather MRE is basically sugar with one savoury meal, ok wouldn't want to live off em for long, also we hated the chicken and instant mash, a real moral killer.
What makes it a cold weather MRE???? Besides the calorie count. Lol. Anyone?
I explained it in the video. There are no wet pack items included. This prevents it from freezing and being unable to consume in very cold conditions. A regular MRE would freeze in that situation.
These are almost impossible to find at the moment.:(

There were some more on Amazon I scooped up 2 cases they are out again.:(

US MCWs are like the ultimate love hate relationship. Not much love ever goes into them yet everyone is dumbfounded by it uniqueness , kinda a shame. Guess the best things go undiscovered my friend. BTW mushrooms are far more putrid then black olives. 😂
