- These NEX-XOS Individual Meals Ready to Eat were a new one on me. They are a commercially produced, FEMA approved, civilian emergency food ration made by the same company that put out X MRE & Omeals. Upon review I found them to be a high-speed low-drag option that contained just enough food to make for a decent meal. The taste of the menu that I decided to test was fair at best but improved after mixing components. They are certainly "no frills" rations containing just food and a very basic accessory pack without any drinks. This batch was very fresh and inexpensive so I consider them a pass in my book.

7 does sounds the best of what I have left. I think the mains are the same ones used in OMEALS.
Awesome review, it’s a bit disappointing that these civilian rations don’t come with beverages.
Agreed. It wouldn't add much cost at all to include just a single drink mix.

I missed this earlier. just ran across it friend. That brand is new on me as well. I may have had by other names however? 800 Cals , light weight, but if hungry, it would work. Shame no hot or cold drinks, but, how it was requested to be made. Problems with the cookies? LOL. I have done the same, as you well know. Cool ration and review, RR. Peace, John.

Yeah lol, maybe I should have cut that pack open. A drink would have been a welcome addition and a good way up increase the calorie count without much additional cost.

The have been novelty version of the made before. Haven't seen one of a long while though.
How do you know if it is 2021 and not 2011?
Because they have only been producing them for a short time. The lot code on the external bag had 21 in it which I'm assuming is the year. That along with the crackers having the date 1111 brings me to the conclusion that the ration is 2021.

No but they will give these out for hurricane relief and stuff

Yeah it's pretty lame. I do think they have a version with the FRH though.
