matx is my favorite format. Glad to see people are starting to appreciate it.
I've been really sad about the decline in mATX motherboards and cases in the past decade... It's been either ATX+ cases or ITX... mATX as the sweet spot in the middle has been largely ignored.
Matx is literally excrement
I am so sad that there are no cheap z690 or z790 mobos that are matx and if there is they dont have WiFi..
Because it is a budget oriented format so its not interesting for manufacturers.
On the other hand, somebody looking for mATX typicaly goes for some basic model without a ton of features.
Regarding mATX cases, I actually see an increase of models just like Antecs Constellation.
We now have offerings from Jonsbo, Asus and Sharkoon as well and possibly others too.
Just go sff already, two 240rads cools so much in a loop for gaming maybe not cpu and gpu at the same time in a work load
@Max Lucansky NO. paying more money for less computer is a scam. Custom build Sff pcs always have been a waste of money because you get less features, little to no compatability and have to pay more.
Love me some new mATX case releases! They need more love.
It's good to see Antec coming back to their 2000s self with all these cases and PSUs coming out. Most of my BYO computers in the 2000s made use of Antec TruePower Trio and EarthWatt PSUs for my Socket A systems and have been so reliable that all of them still work to this day (which I have new backup PSUs with high 5v rail amperage for when those PSUs do die). I would hope Antec would release a compact ATX case kinda like the LANBoy or LANBoy II as I'm not in the mood to have a tall tower for an ATX build (which is why I have been on mATX since 2019).
Jonsbo D41/31 is the best version of the PSU front style cases.
And turn on button is front, what is pro for cat owners
Excited for that Antec mATX case!
what a great case, any possible release date for mATX?
Rocking gamemax spark matx, simple yet elegant case. Love it ❤
I guess we have come full circle with PC case LCD monitors, Remember when people used their optical bays for fan controllers and thermal readouts on the front panel?
Here is to hoping we see a return of mid 2000's style modular power supplies like the Ultra X-Connect, Where the PSU has a window, the cables are sealed in a wire loom, and the connectors fitted with strain relief.
That V3 vertical GPU bracket will be great for the Hyte Y60 since it only has half-slot PCIE brackets in the back.
I just built in the Asus Prime AP201 with a 7800X3D and 7900 XTX and that case is perfect. No flare, bells or whistles but it fit everything and can be tuned nice and silently. We need more mATX.
I just built my PC in the same case yesterday. I am loving it. Having bottom intake fans pointed directly at my absurdly power hungry GPU is nice.
1:07 Firstly, most of us can agree they enjoy a good looking backside 😉.
Secondly, I love the the vent aesthetics 🥰💪 and great to see Antec coming back with sone great cases after what I feel is a bit of a lull 🤔.
Thirdly, not everybody uses their pc on right side of their setup so I’d like to see an iteration of this case with front panel slits that are movable left to right to change the direction of the intake / outflow of air from the front …… my option on this anyhow 😱🤔
Have you guys seen new fractal Terra? Hope to get a new video on that as I'm looking into buying it
Love the antec
Glad to see Antec still relevant after so many years
The constellation looks like a great upgrade from my Corsair Air 240
I would love to see an Antec Performance 1FT with a Frosted / Sandblasted Glass side panel, and I would love to have the option of buying different side panels separately (it would be great if both Frosted Glass and Solid Metal panels are available separately). My everyday computer is a Workstation, and I am not so much into looking inside my computer but I love the looks of the Antec 1FT. Currently, the best case for my intended use is the Antec Performance P20CE (E-ATX) case; but I prefer the looks of the Antec 1FT by a mile. For a Workstation good airflow is everything, if the CPU and/or GPUs are at 100% utilization (doing simulations or rendering) this is a requirement.
Great job Antec usually not a go to brand but I'd like to check these out for some builds.
which is odd because they used to make some of the best cases for modders years ago.
Hopefully Antec have improved the motor noise on some of their range.
Do we know when the Antec Constellation case will be released?
jonsbo d30, ap201 and now this!! finally matx getting love
The Jonsbo D31 with the screen is straight 🔥🔥🔥
Just heard of Jonsbo D31, seems like a good case.
That MicroATX is dope, Contender for BitFinex Prodigy M replacement.
3 months have passed, and there is still nothing on the shelves
NICE FANS!
Can the constellation mATX fit a vertical mount GPU. It would look sit if they could :D
Im such a fan of this
can you test the Jonsbo U4 Mini???
I still regularly use an optical drive and i wish these cool fancy cases had a 5.25in bay, but that will never happen 😭😭
Look at the Fractal Pop, it has 2 5.25" bays in the front of atx and matx models, pretty neat
Are there any updates on the mATX Constellation? Seems like it's dead, or the release will be delayed by a fair amount of time.
Any update on the release of this Antec Constellation MATX case?
Our review is coming out today of the C8 👍 stay tuned.
-D.
@@HardwareCanucks Thank you for the reply. I was referring to the Antec Constellation MATX m540, shown midway into the video Would you have any news on this model? I would love to purchase this.
Nice jonsbo D31
I really wish asrock can come with a matx version of their tiachi lite. That would be the mobo to have for these great matx cases.
Pls pass the request.
If Asrock came up with the X670E Taichi that would put them in contention with Asus with their Crosshair Gene motherboard & it's the same with Gigabyte if they came up with the exclusively X670E Elite Micro ATX & MSI with their MEG ACE as an X670E Micro ATX. At this time for X670E Mini ITX & Micro-ATX Asus it the only game in town which is depressing
what the price of the FT1 is it decent price wise?
What brand of RAM is that at 0:59?
Just when I'd given up on mATX for lack of choices and difficulty with absurd GPU sizes like the 4070TI.
Phanteks makes a 140mm 1000w psu called the amp
i dont get why microatx isnt more popular. we finally moved on from needing 3.5" optical and storage drives, which means we can just chop off that first 1/4 of the standard atx case, and what you're left with is pretty much micro atx. itx is too small for any heavy usage. for most people i would think matx would be the new standard.
Micro ATX does look like the best of both worlds for most use cases... with ITX you have to sacrifice either performance or $$$ and quiet operation. With a good Micro ATX case you can get quiet operation with no performance loss. Less space than an ATX but as you mentioned most of that space isn't needed anymore, and mATX boards are also cheaper than ITX and ATX.
its so much like the jonsbo d31, just with 1 more pcie slot, lol.
Check out the Jonsbo D31 with WXGA LCD front panel mATX it's fantastic !! Only $150 and you can buy the D31 and get the LCD later. Please make it your next review !!
Have been thinking for years - why does ATX PSU have those dimensions at all?
150mm wide - fine. Tower coolers, extension cards and GPU are close to that. But why 86mm high and just 140mm long in most cases? ATX and mATX motherboards are 244mm long. So you have that space below it wasted anyway. Earlier drives were all mounted in front and nowadays you can have 3x m.2 on the mATX, not to mention full ATX. Why aren't there thinner and longer PSU (blower style or whatever) to save on every tower height? Wouldn't need stupid PSU shrouds either if the PSU had nice, full length. Or you could make it longer and have sideways facing connectors like that new corsair PSU has, but without the need to make cases wider since you could have connectors on a recessed part in front of it.
Antec is one of the few brands that knows how to do ring argb fans right. None of that bequiet bs where only one side lights up and they still charge you 30$ a fan. No, here you get dual rings and a 5 pack for 50$ with the old prisms.
Whites cases are nice but come on - isn’t it time for the beige box to return?
pretty sure superflower has PSU just as short around 1000 watts
*_AH HAA ! ! !_* . . I see you, @ 7:41 . . . plane Jane black fans that are pushers (reverse flow)! I've been looking for those. I know Antec had them available as a replacement for their F-Lux case but, have since been discontinued (at least in the US), and were only available in 120mm. Those are clearly a newer deign and in 120mm & 140mm. _PLEASE_ be less than $16 per fan. Or offer a 3-pack for $30 (and make them available in the US), Please Antec.
The mATX case looks neat, but the io front panel makes it a "no buy" for me.
Dude at the end needs to let go to the emotional attachment to size M shirts
lmfao, it looks like an oversized toddler shirt.
that is literally just an ap201... Guess we know who the oem for asus is now XD
140 mm? ATX 3.0? I'm 100% certain I've seen others do this already before ..
Addendum: Acc. to Geizhals, Thermaltake ToughPower GF A3 Gold 1050W is 140 mm short, with ATX 3.0, fully modular, then there is Corsair and Phanteks doing the same, all in the same price range (139 - 170 Euro).
Rick Moranis!
I'd like to be able to build a white pc but it's pointless when all decent monitors are black.
It’s a microwave 😂 finally my PC can make me dinner
Matx has a great price but cases are just show and no tell. No space for 3.5 drives all glass and no airflow. Nice to see beter options hopefully this form factor remains a good bargain.
Does anyone other than the dedicated data hoarder need multiple 3.5 drive slots? Look at how cheap SSDs are now.
@@rogerhill2707 boards starting to have 4 plus m.2 slots and 4 plus sata slots. That's aloot of 2.5" and m.2 storage.
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 Yep, SSDs are almost at price parity with 2.5 inch HDDs. Most mATX boards will have 2 m.2 slots. On top of that most mATX cases still have room for 1 or 2 3.5 inch drives. So again, who else needs more than two 3.5 inch drives? Someone who mistakenly thinking that RAID is still a thing? Who is not satisfied by a single 8tb hdd and an equal amount of storage in SSDs? The complaint over "insufficient" number of 3.5 inch drives just doesn't hold water for 99.9% of users.
@@rogerhill2707 I'm eyeballing a media server upgrade. Current is FM2+ socket and ddr3. A 4- m.2 slot board is an option or the Asustore flashstore 6. My 3 tb of data is a drop in the bucket.
Shame matx boards has been declining for like a decade though. Always preferred it as a good mix between itx and atx
Are Antec products known to be high quality/good?
I haven't seen them since 2010 and still use some of their old cases for work, but they're coming back with some innovation in the space
Great case but . . . Pleass Antec you need to get rid of that literal microwave font for the stat display.
@3:10 Looks alot like copy of the ASUS Prime AP201 Tempered Glass case
Yeah, turns out Antec is the OEM for both Asus and Jonsbo. (lol) - but they are making theirs slightly bigger.
-D.
@@HardwareCanucks I have the Asus AP201 case and it's a very good case. 5900x/32gb/2 x 4TB nvme and 3090 custom water cooling 2 x 360 rad. Cool and quit :). Great videos btw
1:09 That is a beautiful backside. I too would like to route my cable(s) there.
Hope they release that White FT1 case soon. Otherwise, MicroATX.....boring. Tries to duck all those rocks & Eggs being thrown at me. :D Also, maybe it's just me, but I like the contrast between the white case & the Gun Metal grey front grill & the black display panel. Not everything has to be One color to rule them all.... :)
You need to do PC accessories you didn't know you needed again. It's been 2 years since the last lol
True true. We’ve been collecting random cool stuff over the last little while. Time to put in the work 🤙
-D.
decibels are irrelevant on homes that uses electric fan as personal cooling
So, for larger cases, companies copied the 011. Now everyone is going to copy this style of case for matx??
Going for a layout that works well, it's fine, but come on, add some new features (cosmetic or mechanical)to make it stand out.
why MFW put glass in back panel. its a waste of $$$$ to add cost to the part make it high end lol
Iv been us8ng matx for a long time, but matx is dead, little or no top chipset on matx, only prime asus 790(low end), no 790 matx strix.
PLUS 4 slot gpu, no pci e slots left to plug anything in.
All the fan 4000x nvidia gpu, all bearing designs, no 2 fan slot design, why did none use older psu plug design...
Price for a atx strix e is $250 aud higher the core 7k?
The chip should be dearer than the board.
Strix gpu are at next price model category too.
Asus is getting too dear, with less features like led debugger, etc...
3:34 looks very sag to me
So a overpriced clone of the Jonsbo D31 mesh, that's innovation.
I'm sorry but that display is looking like a microwave to me
Now, I can't unsee it. Thank, I hate it now. 😂
Hmm. That would be an excellent idea for a stealth build.
@@dobermanownerforlife3902 that's a great idea

please ANTEC release some itx or else you are gonna die soon , no one use ATX case nowadays
According to every manufacturer we've talked to, ATX outsells ITX by a factor of 20:1 or higher.
