    Are Carbon bikes known for developing cracks in the frame and/or worse under heavy use? I would be doing some trail stuff but also dirt jumping (bmx background). I have a rift zone 1 I want to upgrade to a lighter bike but scared i may damage it a lot sooner than an alloy bike.

      Alloy frame will take some crashes a little better or like if you hit your frame on a rock or something. Carbon might crack but usually alloy is fine. I have a Marin alpine trail xr coming from a canyon spectral carbon which I cracked the frame.

      @@bikingwithryan5968 Thanks for the reply, I'm with you on that. I'm just going to upgrade my Rift Zone 1 with lighter parts. I totally missed that they are roughly the same weight also. That's a ot of money to the drop it on a rock and damage the frame.

      @@hnationmusic3099 yeah for sure. My alpine trail xr is 37 pounds and I’m totally used to it now. But definitely they some lighter parts could make a difference

      @@bikingwithryan5968 do u recommend the spectral or Marín Alpine?

    • @bikingwithryan5968
      @bikingwithryan5968 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fookserrano8239 the alpine trail feels more like a enduro bike or race bike but it’s still playful as well. But the spectral is just a very fun bike. But not as cofindece inspiring in rougher steeper trails

    Hi, i am in te market for enduro bike. Mainly intrested in bike around 160/170mm. But this bike drawn my attention due to value of the build. Do you have any chance comparing it to trek slash or something similar? Thanks in advice

    How much lighter is this than the XR?

    • @gls-dave620

      the XR is alloy and has a rear coil shock, id say it would be heavier

      Shieeeet! It's affordable for the components and carbon frame you get compared to most bikes in this category. Good luck finding a bike with these specs for less than 6500. Stop making excuses ese. Get on your grind, hustle or just buy a Walmart bike.
