The gameplay in the background is Pushmo World, it's a wii u exclusive.
I was about to ask which "-mo" game this was 'cuz I'd only ever played Stretchmo on the 3DS.
wait, pushmo?
in europe this line of games is called pullblox
@@Noodleshrk it's called Pushmo here because he's a Little Sumo who Pushes blocks. Also sounds like you're saying "Push Mo' Blocks" and everyone needs to push more blocks.
I'm so sorry about this Sera. It is soul crushing to hear games close because PaperDemon wasn't able to host anymore. I wish there were better low cost alternatives out there. I'm so sorry I let you and everyone else down and that I wasn't able to get the battle roller working for Nomcromancy. But I'm glad Noms will live on as an open species at least. Thank you so much for your support over the past year. I wish you all the best. ~BogusRed
It's always heartbreaking when a creator has to lay their creative project to rest, especially if it's due to outside circumstances that nobody can control. I hope you will be able to return to the project again one day with all the resources and support you need!

I’m sorry you had to close the game, judging from your voice you’re not so happy about it. Hope it gets the chance to come back without giving you debt.
Retz_Overdrive here (I made Lira, Jade, and Merlin). It's a shame that nomcromancy has to go (at least the arpg version). This game did a lot to help me get back into art and get more involved in the scene. It's definently going to be tough for me to adjust without the incentives the gameified version provided, but I love all my characters and drawing them and all the other noms. Thank you and the nomcromancy community for everything, and i hope nomcromancy thrives as an open species
It's a pity that the game is ending, but it was good while it lasted
oh...no :< i can tell your sad about this i hope everything works out
I so wish I could help... coding's a big hobby of mine, I just don't know most things and I'm almost to the point where I can do something, but like... it hurts to know you have to shut it all down.
Keep yourself up, though. Life might not be fair, but there's a way around everything, for everyone.
Bye for now, Sera.
Good comment. Second paragraph there is one to remember, for sure.
Wow, I'm kinda sad to hear about this, I hope you're doing okay & take care of your mental health. I want to remind to you to never doompost / doomscroll because the world is already exhausting for some.
Man i love the world of nomcromancy glad to see itll still be around, bummer it wont be a arpg but still.
Super unfortunate to hear. I really enjoyed hearing about Nomcromancy on your channel, and you really sold the idea of ARPGs, so it's sad to hear that PaperDemon was shutting down and basically taking Nomcromancy (the game, not any of your species) along with it. I'm glad you're keeping them alive by Opening the species, but it's a shame that it won't be the same considering the Art RPG was a huge part of it.
I never knew of this beforehand, but i understand, its hard losing something like that, makeing a world to explore only for there to be something preventing people from setting foot in it
I never got yo play the game but its so sad to hear that its ending.
Im a lorekeeper dev so if you ever decide to rerelease them. The battle system youre talking about is something Im making for my species. Theres a combo of extensions that would make what youre talking about (one of them is still in progress by the extension dev)
If you want a dev id be 100% willing to help out for in game rewards instead of real money! I already run a game i am also the solo dev for so i may not have the most ammount of time but Lorkeeper itself is stable enough to not need coding babysitting once the set up is done.
I know the feeling of having a 3rd party rip away your ability to continue running a project you loved so much... it happened with my species. It took me three years to finally decide to take the plunge into setting up my own site with lorekeeper and it absolutely saved my game!
Can hear the tears thru the video 😢
I've never played your game, but it sounds like you really care aboit your project, so I hope you can make something new!
I really hope in the meantime You can that relax and have some time to plan your next move if anything Seraa
Funny, my OC (Mermaid) is named Sera. Sorry your game is shut down. Also, whats your species, characters, lore, etc.
I'm so sorry that happened, i wish the best for you.
Not this time, firsters!
Lorekeeper has a discord and lots of people willing to help, and its extensions are *insanely* useful. If I can teach myself how to install, I'd install it for you, free of charge. But I am dumb as a brick... and learn slow. xD
I know, but I do pretty much all of this myself. If I can't even install it for myself I don't expect I'll be able to troubleshoot problems, run it, or manage anything. It's a lot of work and the whole reason I used Paperdemon was because I was promised a similar experience without having to do all the stuff that it would typically involve. I talked to another creator recently and my partners and while they don't have an issue with me working all the time, I do remember what it was like being alone all the time as a child. I don't want my partners to feel that way because I'm too busy relearning Lorekeeper for the fifth time because I rarely use it so I forget everything by the time I have to update anything again. Coding and stuff is like learning a new language, if I don't use it daily I'll forget it.
@@SerasThings yeah it is a lot of work. I have an ARPG myself, though it's in hiatus atm, while I rework some things. Once up and running, it's honestly really easy and the Lorekeeper Discord is absolutely amazing. People are always willing to help and tell you what went wrong, how, and why and help you fix it. It's a wonderful community. There's even step by step guides for solving conflicts and making extensions work. It takes time to learn, but it's worth it even if just as a Masterlist.
@@cryptid-artha Huh! Well, that's certainly encouraging. Thanks for bringing this up! :D
sad to hear about this hope your doin ok sera :3
Good things have a life span, end it right ❤️
As someone who had one official mera and and two that i was working on making official before life took over, this actually hurts
Aaaa I love the wii u it was my first console i ever played
I have mixed fellings about this.
On one hand, i _want_ to fell bad for you. Because i can see as clear as a polished crystal it was something you wanted to do and you couldn't because of this paper demon situation.
On the other hand, i like the fact that these species are open, more because they are more accessable for whi wants thise characters but don't want to enter a art RPG (because that people can indeed be introverts on the internet. Case in question: me :D) and so these species being now open means that someone that wants it doesn't have to do the """"illigal method"""" which, i know, is not illigal, but some people have too frail rule-breaking-moral™ to actually do something they want if it means to break a rule, whit or whitout consequences. (Case in question: me D:)
Edit: and yes, i am indeed felling bad for making this comment, Specially seeing other people's comments, but it's still my opinion. I still think some people would appreciate being able to make some kind of species whitout needing to enter an art RPG
“I mean, I’m 33…” WAIT WHAT I thought you were in your 20’s?!?
Yeah, I hear that a lot. I also look way younger. It's the lack of sunlight.
Hypothetically, if someone wanted to make their own game with the species, would you allow that?
Link of the Discord site? pls I'd like to join but I can't the discord
Ok 🦐
I don't see why there needed to be an approval process to make the characters in the first place. There was no patent on designs/concepts. I don't get the logic behind curating who can make those kinds of characters, unless you just dislike specific groups of people. In which case, fair but questionable
This is a game, approvals exist to make sure people follow the rules of the game. You also need a character page in order to show what items, traits, lore, and other stuff they may have. So the approval process is to give them a character page so they can play the game.
@@SerasThings ok, but outside of the context of the game, an approval process for the ability to create a character just is an extra and unnecessary step, you can easily just have a document detailing the rules and answer any questions accordingly or with an faq. Even with it being a game, that doesn't strike me as a reason to require an approval process for making the characters. What about house rules for people who just wanna try to adapt the game for tabletop, or people just making art? Would not going through the approval process have affected them?
No, because I put no restrictions on use for those who want to make them without playing the game. The approval system is only for those who want to play the game.
@@SerasThings that's good then, but the restrictions still seems excessive. It's one thing if it was just a registration thing, but you specified it was for "rule enforcement" which already seems like somewhat of an overstep
Games need rules to work. Monopoly without rules is just cardboard and paper. There are certain things you can and can't do that define your gameplay. Mario for example, enemy hits him he dies or shrinks. That's a rule. If there were no rules there'd be no point to playing. If a character has no rules and doesn't go through approvals you could end up with offensive content in your game, or more likely if they don't have rules they can do whatever they want and it would defeat the purpose of unlocks if they have everything to begin with. There'd be no point in playing if there weren't any rules.

Whats the game?
Pushmo World, its an eShop Wii u exclusive. Sorry gamer but you probably won't ever play this one since the shop shut down.

How about you turn it into a steam game
I've thought of doing something like this. I don't know how to code games, but if I could I was thinking something like tamagotchi with Noms and as you take care of your creature they'd grow a trait.

Imagine waiting for an approval to make an OC of something, get bent loser, good thing you went down.
I don't make closed species, this was a game. It was like neopets but you drew art instead of playing mini games. The approval is only for people who wished to play the game. Technically it was always open since anyone can join, approval is mostly to make sure that people are getting their rewards. I know you didn't know but when you respond with hostility like that you make it hard for people to be nice to you
...
That's the wrong take to get from this vid. If I have one reason why, it's this:
How does your response help the situation?
Yeah. Your response isn't even productive criticism, it's just toxic.
"imagine spending time in an arpg to get rewards" like thats how games work dude
Imagine judging what other people choose to do with their own time, get bent loser, good thing you spend all day judging other people instead of having fun
You sound like a very sad individual, go be sad elsewhere.
