Meta Knight didn't just fend off a pack of beasts one time. He's the reason the waddle dees in forgotten land are even alive. When Kirby was adventuring around, he apparently whooped gorimondo's ass a minimun of 20 times, which stopped him from attacking waddle dee town.
Probably why Metaknight has a huge army of minions at his disposal confirmed mainly by waddle'dees and the waddle'dees stand out for being very disciplined beings and masters in many professions, there are all kinds, cooks, technicians, mechanics, electrical and security, How did he convince them to join his army? He probably offered them a job opportunity and to stay on the halberd in addition to having almost unlimited resources such as energy and food and probably some salary or maybe he has also submitted or forced them but that doesn't fit with the current Metaknight and with the classic one I see it as reliable but not so much Where does Metaknight get so much money to maintain his ship and crew? Maybe he's a bounty hunter who caught criminals on a daily basis or maybe King DDD paid him when Metaknight was still your washbasin and this was saved over the years.
I think the reason he didn't help Kirby fight off dark metal knight was another form of chivalry respect, as I think he thought of it as Kirby's fight. Although I'm not too knowledgeable of the Kirby lore, so this is pure speculation
Also, I think the reason DeeDee and Meta Knight fought Kirby instead of explaining the situation was due to sheer panic at letting him get close. Sure, a bit out of character for Meta Knight possibly, but I think I could see Dedede being like that (Again, I don't know much about Kirby, so if I got anything wrong, please feel free to yell at me)
Also, to add onto this point, there is the fact that the ending shows the 4 Kirby's leaving the Mirror World, it could be argued that the Fight with Dark Meta Knight could have been 4 Kirby's vs 1 Dark Meta Knight canonically, so he might of thought that he wasn't needed to help (especially so since Kirby could have likely called them up to help fight DMK as well) :)
@@TopHatMacadamia Let's see, Kirby, a literal god killer and possibly a god itself, + 3 perfect copies of itself, all 4 acting in perfect synchronicity, vs Dark Meta Knight and then Dark Mind, and adding to Kirby's team the knight who defeated the MOST POWERFUL WARRIOR IN THE GALAXY, Yeah, I think I see why Meta Knight didn't think a 5v1 was necessary or even fair
I interpret the Amazing Mirror thing as Meta Knight not having enough time to get in the portal. That thing closes right after Galaxia (or Master in this game) is tossed in so Meta Knight saw the portal closing and lent a hand in the best way he could.
@@Theorangebuffoon7428Meta Knight's actions in Squeak Squad could be attributed to him sometimes not thinking everything through. I'm not saying Meta Knight's stupid, just that he can be a bit impulsive despite his experience as a warrior.
I would like to clarify that in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Meta Knight is shown vigilantly watching over Waddle Dee town because Gorimondo (the 1st world boss) has attacked the town previously. It states in one of the figurines that Meta Knight had successfully defeated Gorimondo 30-0 before and during Kirby’s adventures. While Gorimondo isn’t as powerful as other threats like Galacta Knight, Meta Knight certainly deserves a higher placement for protecting the town successfully while Kirby is away.
I agree with the rankings, but I think you sold him as a bit too weak. Yeah, he lost to Kirby a bunch, but Kirby is literally an eldritch being of unfatomable power, love and good vibes
I agree. He literally says that he's the strongest warrior in the galaxy, except for Kirby at least, since we see Kirby beat Galacta Knight in the arenas and he also beats Meta Knight.
He also sets his minions on you. It actually implies the main traits he's known for to this day already applied: he's willing to honor his duty to protect the star rod piece but would prefer Nightmare was vanquished, so he both helps and tests/attacks Kirby so Kirby can deal with Nightmare once he's freed.
Just a nitpick, Meta Knight is not edgy. The definition of edgy simply doesn't apply to him. Dark Meta Knight is edgy, 100%, but not normal Meta Knight. He is stoic, serious, and likes hiding his face and fighting the main character sure, but none of that makes him edgy. He is also honorable, heroic, selfless, and kind, which doesn't spell edgy at all. I know this is a small thing to be stuck on, but I just personally hate it when people misuse the word edgy and just label any stoic and serious character with it. It just feels disingenuous.
I did always love how in return to dreamland meta knight survived the longest out of the companions while on the other dimension ride, by deflecting some attacks where the other 2 practically got hit immediately
The pause description in star allies says Meta Knight was secretly always capable of all those new moves, he just didn't know it until the heart's corruption awakened the skills, which is proven in the very next game where he uses the new moves again despite not being corrupted or controlled by anything
The meta-knights were not introduced in super star, they've been with him since the start (they were a recurring midboss summoned by Meta Knight back in Kirby's adventure)
I like how there is a canon explanation for why Kirby isn't the strongest warrior. Because he not a warrior, he's canonically a god. He's the good version of the monster you fight at the end of star allies
IIRC the devs purposely made it unclear if Void Termina was actually a god or not since they didn't feel it was completely right for Kirby to fight one. In another interview, they said not to completely trust Hyness since he was insane during Star Allies. They also wanted to make it vague if if they were related or not. The destined rivals is likely a reference to Kirby right back at ya! Where Meta knight "works" for Dedede as an enforcer. But all he does is look cool and mooch off Dedede as he embezzles the citizens of Dream land in order to build his spaceship.
You know meta knight isn't easily control. He always fight the control like the heart, he still give you a sword, in yarn adventures, he try many time to gain back control. He didn't help kirby maybe because he knew that he wouldn't be able to help him much. In amazing mirror he maybe didn't had time to go in the portal after dark meta knight defeat. Only the robot control was enough to make him fully obedient
While it would kinda take away the whole mystery aspect of him, it would be great if the next Kirby game finally gave us the much needed information on Meta Knight we’ve all been really wanting. Or at least I’ve been wanting. Come on Hal, I just want to know his backstory!
First off, Meta Knight being able to take on Galacta Knight all by himself and therefore being the strongest warrior? Not technically canon. The Meta Knightmare modes are not canon to the main Kirby timeline, so Meta Knight may or may not be that powerful. Benefit of the doubt, though, he probably can take down Galacta Knight and become the strongest warrior in the galaxy. The reason why he can't beat Kirby is because... Kirby isn't a warrior. He's an eldritch being who is thankfully also a nice and happy ball of cuteness. He doesn't train to fight, has no true style with weapons. He just copies what others can do, hence why he's not a warrior. Meta Knight, however, IS a warrior, hence why he has the ability to be a candidate for strongest warrior in the galaxy.
4:52 Don't you get it? Meta Knight is the kind of person that prefers a fair 1v1, he couldn't beat his dark version so he decided to let Kirby do the job for him.
In every form of media the sword is the most important possession of a knight so the fact that he gives Kirby his sword in both Amazing Mirror and In Forgotten Land shows that he truly respects Kirby and he knows that Kirby is a god compared to his strength. Side note: I think it would be really cool if we could see Kirby's and Meta Knight's home planet. It is heavily implied that Galacta Knight is also the same Species as Kirby and Meta Knight, so Kirby's species is probably one of the most powerful species in the universe because every character of that species that we have seen so far is basically a god
There is no clear origin to the knight species, it's implied that kirby has no homeworld and that he was created as a result of feeding positive emotions to a void incarnation.
10:11 I think it was revealed in a Miiverse post that the Meta-Knights repaired the Halberd again while Meta Knight was under control. Which is weird because you'd assume that Haltmann would raid his ship after knocking it down, but nope. Just take over Dedede's blimp instead
Should mention: Meta Knight only loses to Dark Meta Knight at the start of Amazing Mirror because he was ambushed. In a fair fight, Meta Knight would have defeated Dark Meta Knight, as seen in DMK's Star Allies trailer. It's more than likely that Meta Knight is still recovering from the damage Dark Meta Knight did to him, since as seen in Kirby's Squeak Squad, he doesn't hold back in fights for the fate of the world.
12:21 to be fair he is the strongest Warrior that _isnt a literal god_ Kirby's the literal definition of destruction only because of void and yet chooses to eat during half of his existence on popstar
Tbf, him and dedede do both refuse to explain things to kirby but in all fairness kirby is essentailly a baby In the kirby right back at ya anime there are times when characters try to explain things to kirby but he just doesnt undwrstand because hes just a child
The game doesn't make it super clear, but Meta Knight lost and got trapped by DMK in the mirror so I assume that in the endgame he was too injured to directly fight with Kirby. Also Meta Knight likes to leave fights to Kirby he knows he can win, I assume is a chivarly thing.

I like how after his boss battle in Superstar, he runs off, picks up a new mask, and then continues to chase after Kirby. Gotta keep up appearances. And I respect him for that.
The Meta-Knights actually first appeared in Kirby's Adventure. Meta Knight occasionally showed up throughout the levels to sick them onto Kirby. Actually, I'm surprised you didn't mention that. Or how he would also randomly show up to give him items like Invincibility Candies
In the manual of Kirby's adventure, it said that Dedede tried to talk with Kirby about why he split the star rod. But, Kirby doesn't want to hear him, so he went directly to recover the pieces ignoring the "try" of warning from Dedede.
But also in this manual Kirby is speaking so.... I don't know if its canon In addition to this, in the japanese manual (the original), Kirby also talks and the story is the same as above.
A thing that isn't noted during the fight in Kirby's Adventure is primarily he is testing Kirby throughout the game. It is why he also helps by giving healing items despite sicking his minions on you. It is really a test to see if Kirby is ready to take on Nightmare since his release is kind of inevitable Same could probably be said for his encounter in Squeak Squad, although his more aggressive fighting style does indicate he isn't sure on if Kirby should even take on Dark Nebula.
In my school vr game, there's a side quest line called Meta Knightmare and it is elite (he has 5 bosses like, Dark Shadow from My Hero Academia, The Shade Lord from Hollow knight, The Levthiathen Grim from RWBY, Nightmare Moon from My Little Pony and finally Sera From Hazbin Hotel)
Jeremy didnt you forget that after you beat Meta Knight in Forgotten Land you get his sword. so he yet again gives Kirby the tools to win the game? he seems pretty darn useful here and i think he should have been elite.
I've always thought his role in Kirby Fighters 2 was weird. He doesn't strike me as somebody who would team up with Dedede for the sole purpose of petty revenge. At least without some ulterior motives
WOAH He does way more in kirby battle royale than just be an unlockable character. he is the strongest opponent other than king dedede and is the penultimate opponent in the Cake Royale (or main story mode). Everyone throughout the game including bandana waddle dee (who is your teammate) constantly talks about how fearsome and strong he is.
I think In the games where he sits on the side to let Kirby do most or all of the work is just because he wants Kirby to become a better and stronger hero. That’s basically why he does it in the TV show. I think that can easily translate to his reasoning in the games too, most of the time.
dude He's pretty much useless cause' in the forgotten land you can go in the tournament and just wait for meta knight to charge at you, if you ONLY have sword fighting him wait for him to slide or charge at you at that moment press the B button then keep pressing be then you'll get his sword, then he gets his sword from older kirby games.
)9:20 Meta Knight does show up in page 18 of the Secret Diary in Rainbow Curse (he looks weird). If Pinball Land gets to be in the WORTHLESS tier then Rainbow Curse also deserves a spot in the WORTHLESS tier
I think the rain kirby isn't the strongest warrior in the galaxy is because he isn't a warrior, he's a hero, and that slight technicality keeps that title away from him
Didn't Kirby's Adventure start the running thing of Meta Knight being the one to throw powerups like invincible candy for Kirby to use onto the level, or did they add that in later?
I think the reason metaknight seems useless in a lot of appearences is because he is dreamlands first line of defense, kirby doesnt even realize that something happened until metaknight either failed to or chose not to stop a threat
Theres a very good reason kirby isnt considered when meta knights called the strongest warrior in the universe. Kirby isnt a warrior, he fights if he needs to, but he much prefers sleeping and eating.
My headcannon for metaknightmare and metaknightmare ultra is that meta knight forgot his cape in the all powerful washing machines that are the dream fountain and nova
I just want to point out that Meta knight was easily mind controlled by yin yarn but Forgo failed to get him PROVING yin yarn is the strongest kirby boss ever

I liked how the enemies weren't stupid in that respect. They keep trying to recapture the dees while Kirby is away.
Given how gorimondo is, yeah Meta knight would be able to whoop him and the leopard
Meta Knight's real feat is somehow rebuilding his ship faster each time its wrecked. Like seriously, that thing is huge, how does he do it
Right!
He has a whole order of knights, like, he is an actual chapter master with servants, workers and lands to his name.
He probably has a bunch in stocks somewhere, with how many minions he seems to have, I wouldn't be surprised if they just built it back.

The Meta-Knights actually first appeared in Kirby's Adventure. Meta Knight occasionally showed up throughout the levels to sick them onto Kirby. Actually, I'm surprised you didn't mention that. Or how he would also randomly show up to give him items like Invincibility Candies
Meta Knight is an amazing character all around though boss, or ally. I like how most of his portrayal's led to him having great moments too.
I don't know if its canon
In addition to this, in the japanese manual (the original), Kirby also talks and the story is the same as above.
Ok so the invading purple stuff in star allies is the remnants of an ancient dark god. So makes sense why he couldn’t do much
He still offer a sword to kirby so he wasn't fully control unlike the mecha knight
A thing that isn't noted during the fight in Kirby's Adventure is primarily he is testing Kirby throughout the game. It is why he also helps by giving healing items despite sicking his minions on you. It is really a test to see if Kirby is ready to take on Nightmare since his release is kind of inevitable
Same could probably be said for his encounter in Squeak Squad, although his more aggressive fighting style does indicate he isn't sure on if Kirby should even take on Dark Nebula.
8:42 bro forgot abt kirby nightmare in dream land 😭🙏
I did! 😂
In revenge of Meta Knight, he’s just a Kirby version of Sportacus
6:04 i was not expecting the reference to kirby gamble galaxy stories but it does make me glad to see the fangame get recognition
Lmao one of my favourite games ever
But gamble galaxy is an actual kirby area, it's the final level of squeak squad
@@Technicolor-vo7ii damn, my mistake, i never fully played kirby squeak squad
Jeremy didnt you forget that after you beat Meta Knight in Forgotten Land you get his sword. so he yet again gives Kirby the tools to win the game? he seems pretty darn useful here and i think he should have been elite.
4:54 counter argument for this, Meta Knight know Kirby could call hus friend to help him instead which is why Meta Knight let Kirby to do it
Star Allies confirms that MK's new attacks ARE his abilities. In fact, he does them again in Forgotten Land and Fighters 2.
I've always thought his role in Kirby Fighters 2 was weird. He doesn't strike me as somebody who would team up with Dedede for the sole purpose of petty revenge. At least without some ulterior motives
THE GOAT
Forgot to mention the invincible candies he gifts Kirby in Adventure
WOAH He does way more in kirby battle royale than just be an unlockable character. he is the strongest opponent other than king dedede and is the penultimate opponent in the Cake Royale (or main story mode). Everyone throughout the game including bandana waddle dee (who is your teammate) constantly talks about how fearsome and strong he is.
"Come back when you can put up a fight !"
@@darkomatto4163 🥶
Nightmare in dreamland was PEAK and you cant tell me otherwise
I think In the games where he sits on the side to let Kirby do most or all of the work is just because he wants Kirby to become a better and stronger hero. That’s basically why he does it in the TV show. I think that can easily translate to his reasoning in the games too, most of the time.
12:08 Meta Knight and Dedede trying to be like Mario & Luigi
dude He's pretty much useless cause' in the forgotten land you can go in the tournament and just wait for meta knight to charge at you, if you ONLY have sword fighting him wait for him to slide or charge at you at that moment press the B button then keep pressing be then you'll get his sword, then he gets his sword from older kirby games.
Avalanche isn't even a ripoff. It's Poyo Poyo reskinned so that it would sell in the States. Same thing with Robotnic's Mean Bean Machine.
Sad news, every Meta Knightmare gamemode is actually not canon to the story
Meta Knight really doesn't do much if you think about it
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS FINALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meta Knight is such a cool lil guy I love him
Who doesn’t?! (The manga writers probably, but we don’t talk about that-)
THAT'S 3 WORDS "smacks with a long sandwhich"
)9:20 Meta Knight does show up in page 18 of the Secret Diary in Rainbow Curse (he looks weird). If Pinball Land gets to be in the WORTHLESS tier then Rainbow Curse also deserves a spot in the WORTHLESS tier
Still here watching your videos!!!
I think the rain kirby isn't the strongest warrior in the galaxy is because he isn't a warrior, he's a hero, and that slight technicality keeps that title away from him
I think just because it is off screen, his part in Kirby and the Forgotten Land is great
Didn't Kirby's Adventure start the running thing of Meta Knight being the one to throw powerups like invincible candy for Kirby to use onto the level, or did they add that in later?
I think the reason metaknight seems useless in a lot of appearences is because he is dreamlands first line of defense, kirby doesnt even realize that something happened until metaknight either failed to or chose not to stop a threat
After so long he finally dose meta knight give up for him yaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Meta-knight it’s like shadow, but uses a sword instead of a gun
Meta Knight in Super Smash Bros Brawl is his real raw strength
Give dedede credit in adventure the manual reveals that he TRIED to tell kirby but the pink puff ignored him
6:52 😄 Nice reference.
4:56 simple, honor, if he interwined he would rob kirby of a great battle. And it is not honirable to just join in the duel.
You could argue in amazing mirror that he's still recovering from his beating but idk
I read this as "Ranking How USELESS Meta Kirby is in Every Kirby Game".
The render in the thumbnail… it was made by my goat
We need a game with only meta knight and the halberd
I wish Meta Knight was able to get his own spinoff games kinda like Wario land
Our boy
Fun fact: the halberd in spanish is called Hal abarda
Rank Every Starter Pokémon Based On How Many Gyms They Are Useless Against!
I just want to point out that Meta knight was easily mind controlled by yin yarn but Forgo failed to get him PROVING yin yarn is the strongest kirby boss ever

So, where's the tilt 'n tumble for gbc?
