@@TheUnknownMist7yeah but they are made for kids not 20 year old but they are easy so maybe younger think they are hard remember this is Mario not gta5
Quizzes are fun. They are "easy" because you have the Mario universe knowledge, which will taken in account and not ask questions from another universe.
I would rather the 100% completion rewards be just a postcard or "you did it" message, because otherwise you would be FORCED to complete every tedious mission just to access whatever cool feature they give you. Its the very same reason why there is no real reward for getting every Korok in Botw... Because getting all of them would SUCK, so they intentionally make the reward lackluster so that players don't feel obligated to do it. 100% completion should be optional.
I agree. An example of that done wrong is the End of Pain keyblade in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. By the time you get that, you’ve already done basically everything the game has to offer so what’s the point of using it?
another example is mario kart 8 deluxe, cuz when you 100% it fully, (beat all base game 200cc staff ghosts, get 5000 coins, beat all base game tracks on 200cc, get first on every 200cc grand prix) you get the gold setup (gold mario, gold kart, gold wheels and gold glider)
Even if there's a super cool reward for doing it, it is still optional. No one NEEDS that reward and it likely won't matter much once you've done all that anyway unless you're like really obsessed with the game. It's just your brain tricking you into thinking you HAVE to 100% something for the reward. I totally get that though so I understand your point. 😂

well even so it's not like everybody knows this. not everyone just turns to google like a pussy because they're too lazy to figure it out or actually "tried"
14:17 This nearly happened to me last week when I was playing as Luigi. One of the bug enemies managed to hit me, knocking me straight to what I thought was my doom, but HOO BOY did I get hit with a miracle. I was somehow hit directly above the starting platform, and I landed on it rather than falling in the black hole. Long story short, the L on Luigi's cap stands for 'Lucky' and no one can convince me otherwise.
1:55 I agree with 9, I mean lakitu is your friend in 1 game like super Mario 64 then the next he ends up trying to kill Mario. What happened to all the help and support there? Did bowser make a copy of lakitu to hurt Mario? 🤔😂😂
25:44 if you go in system settings to controller mapping on the Switch you can set ZL to be one of the run buttons like X or Y. I just made it into a preset then turn it on each time i want to play mario. Makes holding the controller so much more natural
I have always hated the classic 2D Mario powerup system because if you lose your powerup, you are missing out on the fun because all you can do is run and jump and by the time you find another powerup, half the level is already behind you. I also hated when you always start the level as small Mario after dying because you either have to play very carefully through half or even the entire level without special powers or just replay 1-1 to get a powerup. Super Mario Bros Wonder's badge system solves most of this problem, and the 3 health system of 3D Mario games allows you to use all your abilities regardless of how much health you have.
Regarding the #65 entry, I think it's amusing when you either die to a fire piranha or within the sight range of a fire piranha in Super Mario Bros. 3, especially if you were still in the air when you slipped up. I just think it's funny to see the fire piranha's head move accordingly as it watches you die.
When i played yoshi's island as a kid, the babies crying stressed me out so much cause it really made me feel the urgency... That combined with the boss levels gave me nightmares when i first got it
I started playing Mario Galaxy when I was like 4/5 and in all this time I only did the garbage mini game once, like bro instead of giving me a timer you should be grateful I’m doing your job for you 😭
57 no you know whats worst? when you get 99 lives and you dont get it back unless you die, but you cant even go 4 minutes without getting another 1 up, making your hat go away again!!!!
93 should actually make sense because Yoshis mostly don't technically get hurt, unless it's an instant death obstacle or you boot up Mario 64 ds, Yoshi's story, wooly or crafted worlds. And getting hit in Yoshi's island results in losing baby Mario and having to get it back, which yes, it is an HP system, but that implies yoshi can get hit anytime until baby Mario is caught when the counter reaches 0.
funny how few of these things just seem like this dude doesn't have enough things to hate, like White Tanooki Suit... "its so annoying that Nintendo gives every single player chance to beat the game no matter how bad you are"... I mean like I barely hate stuff about Mario games, some are annoying... like autoscrollers are annoying but I like slow platforms... and dark levels are hard to navigate but I have never thought that I hate them... I think these are more like annoying things than hated cause hating sounds little too much... Idk... great video
fun fact: sonic the hedgehog 2 was originally going to have bonking on walls. it was removed very early on, likely because the sonic series is very momentum based and it knocked you too far back.
New subscriber, gotta agree with you on 17 4:22 it was so easy doing the jump rope until Nintendo went and patched the game 🙄 now they really want us to go buy more of them. Mmwup🤦🏼♂ also 22:17 had to buy a 3rd party controller just cause Mario was acting like a baby for no reason when I wanted to play Mario 64.
There’s a different glitch you can use to get a letter out of the letter area. I sit on top of the M and proceed to lie down as I rack up hundreds of jumps.
There’s one more: playing Mario games were you share lives in multiplayer and then that one person keeps on dying. It’s especially bad in 3d world since it’s harder to catch them.
I hate that coins serve basically no purpose. I don't care about my "score" and I don't know anyone in the modern day who actually does (outside of "minimum score challenges" of course). In Odyssey it was GREAT because coins could be used to buy outfits, but in every other Mario game they're basically worthless.
well, they give you lives, and basically cause you to hit the upper limit instantly (99 lives), so I think that's pretty useful but yeah the score actually serves 0 purpose, like it literally doesn't do anything it's just there
@@tzarg 1-Ups are an outdated system that just doesn't really add anything to the game (getting a game over doesn't even mean much when it just boots you out of the level, and then gives you 5 lives to use afterwards). And for more skilled players lives are barely even much of a reward because they don't need them. Best case scenario, you literally just look up an infinite 1-up trick (which every game has at least one, usually more) to grind some if you get low. Worst case scenario, you just lose the checkpoint of the level you were playing and go back into the level as if nothing happened. So basically this is a long winded way of saying, yes, coins are still useless.
Actually the crawling mechanic in Mario 64 can also allow you to go up steep hills without sliding back down. I mean it takes forever to do that but it’s at least useful.
3:51 I was playing Luma while my brother was playing this. In NSMBW's 9-4, the last star coin requires you to have an Ice Flower, which, of course, I kept losing. Then again I wouldn't say I hate it cuz it's pretty satisfying to succeed 8:38 I played this level without my brother recently and OH MY GOD it's so hard, the fact he was even able to complete any of them is insane to me now 9:36 also literally my brother 12:30 also applies to Toad levels in NSMBW, I'm glad they replaced those with Nabbit 14:01 personally I'd say the Luigi Boxes in the New Soup games are actually so irritating, like yeah I know how to complete the level I'm not stupid it's just really goddamn HARD especially when collecting star coins
For 47, I only *half* agree. I think secret stars shouldn’t kick you out of the level, cause playing the same mission twice just to get a secret star is kinda dumb, but main ones kicking you out of the level gives you much needed down time to make the game more digestible. Not to mention it allows each version of the level to be different, offering more unique missions in games like galaxy.
THESE ARE ALL 100% TRUE AND YOU INCLUDED THE TERRIBLE TRASH SUPER MARIO GALAXY THINGY TO BLOW UP TRASH BECAUSE OF THE BOB-MBS TAKE LIKE 7 SECONDS TO DETONATE
I completely disagree with 50 if u wanna complete the level with your skill then don’t hit the block but tbh the gold tanooki leaf is actually super overpowered and helpful like let’s say your doing an extremely hard mario level with like a lot of enemies and they give u the gold tanooki leaf literally almost anyone will take it to finally finish that horrible impossible level so i disagree with 50 i don’t hate it
dude mario 64 with is crawl thing is not just for the igloo dude but that work in the second bowswer to when he flit the platform if u crawl u dont fall in the lava

Finally someone acknowledged Yoshi's Island as a Mario hame. One question, I never played Odyssey but does that mean you cannot play the game with a controller?
What I mostly hate about Mario games is not included in this list. It is from almost all new super mario bros games and it is that sometimes when you are about to get to the next level a random enemy comes out of nowhere and if he catches you you will need to play a bonus challenge where you have to kill multiple of them depending on what enemy it is.
I Agree with 37, the struggle with these Mario games is so bad, I don't like having to go back to levels completely doing them again and getting more stars. However defeating bowser In Bowser's fury is like the worst like I don't even understand why Nintendo made these games with Objects interrupt people in General Due to their Mario games to have people get interested in them.
This is probably a nitpicky complaint but in both Galaxy games I want to be able to wall jump after a long jump. Also I want the flip jump or whatever it is in Galaxy where you run 1 way then quickly swap directions and jump. I want that in the 2d games, as well as long jumping. I'm not sure how useful those would be, but it'd add more options.
Dark levels: That one dark boat level in world 6 of nsmbw Yes I like it, not because of the dark though, but because it has more visibility than most. Nsmb2 dark levels: €ñd My ẞμ££€Rïⁿg
To be honest i disagree with 35 and 2 because both of those makes situations more fun and hilarious and funny and comical and can make for funny moments
How did Nintendo fix the count down timer? When you expect the unexpected and the timer runs out, the course will return back to normal without even getting the Wonder Seed!
On paper lame completion rewards sound bad, but remember that Mario 64 gave you 100 lives when you've already completed everything, rendering those lives worthless unless you just wanna mess around.
YOU FORGOT THE KING BOO BOSSFIGHT FROM MARIO SUNSHINE!!! like is litteraly ramdom based! sonetimes it only tooks 1 minute and sometimes it takes 1 hour that isnt funny! 😭

However defeating bowser In Bowser's fury is like the worst like I don't even understand why Nintendo made these games with Objects interrupt people in General Due to their Mario games to have people get interested in them.
In mario galaxy 2's defense, I'm fairly certain the story has Zero effort because galaxy two was dlc for galaxy one
0:55 But the music from SMG makes this actually worth it
i love that for the ice physics you showed one of rimea's custom mario wonder levels
Ur making me more angy after every thing people hate
also in mario galaxy when you have 150/150 star fragment to give to luna and you miss one and need to go all the way back to a level
Dark levels:
That one dark boat level in world 6 of nsmbw
Yes I like it, not because of the dark though, but because it has more visibility than most.
Nsmb2 dark levels:

Your buffering?
To be honest, #59 still doesn’t annoy me as much as the Goron baby from Majora’s Mask.
the mario 64 camera is so bad that I can’t even get up the mountain in Bob-omb battlefield 😭
To be honest i disagree with 35 and 2 because both of those makes situations more fun and hilarious and funny and comical and can make for funny moments
THANK GOD MARIO WONDER FIXED THE TIMER
18:56 HOLY SHIT IS THAT ODYSSEY CENTRAL'S LEVEL????????
Yes
18:57 there isn’t a softlock you can just jump out the shoe with L or R
1:09 The classic hated Mario maker thing, little timmy levels
A lot of these, such as 50. Can be explained easily by the fact that it’s a kid’s game. Too many people forget that fact.
The crawling feature just makes sneaking past sleeping Pirahna Plants easier.
16:50 Dude, all i sid for me to get It was to do the infinite coin glitch. Then go to new donk city and just keep buying 10 moons.
For 92, its good that there is no real reward or else players would feel forced to 100% complete the game.
0:16 shows how everyone might hate you…
So be careful… 😢
YOU FORGOT THE KING BOO BOSSFIGHT FROM MARIO SUNSHINE!!! like is litteraly ramdom based! sonetimes it only tooks 1 minute and sometimes it takes 1 hour that isnt funny! 😭
101, almost pulling off something really cool but just barely failing. 102, missing the cycle of platforms.
I agreed with all of these except I'm one of those people that actually LIKES the quizzes. If it were me I would have put knockback instead.
YES MAN! THE GARBAGE MINI-GAME FROM GALAXY IS SO, GARBAGE!
ok so for 21, mario wonder's final level section is the invisibility badge... and i missed the top of the flag pole...
i felt so much pain lol had to replay it again with yoshi to ensure i hit the top, that's how bad it was XD
Git gud. I did it on my first try.
One of the worst ones is the dogs in oddyssey stealing your hat randomly when your doing something like trickjumping
Yeah, I do like playing fetch with them tho
@@littleevsamoyed7130 i like playing with them sometimes but usualy they are just annoying as hell
@@nikolavulic-t9x it's hard for me to relate cause I'm terrible at trick jumping, and I never really experienced this, I only saw them as really cute, but I understand that it could be annoying.
They are cute to me too, but their moons are a nightmare you have to sit there for 10 minutes watch him dig
@nikolavulic-t9x oh, the dog moons never really took me that long to do, I May be a bit bias as Dogs are my favorite animals. Sooooo
Admittedly the timer is annoying but its been a thing since the first ever Mario games so it's kinda hard to complain about it
18:56 you are not softlocked exit thé shoe
No you would still be softlocked even if you jump out of the shoe
@@TheMusicGuy72 no he would die
@dredemeester5979 yeah your right, don't even know why I didn't think about that
That was Odyssey centrals level so if he sees this video he gonna think that infinite bits is dumb
@@Minepro616 I saw it too but I wasn't sure
i hate the purple captian in galaxy 2 who says "lets take a break" when ever you game over while doing the really hard last level
