@@travelpocketsincredible camera setup .. this is the info I needed for a short trip from Los Angeles to Dallas... Please if you have time.. share with us how you edit video from all these cameras into 1 video Thank you
Thank you so much for this. I couldn't find something explaining these two products on TH-cam. Was going to wait for the DJI Mic but its probably going to take along time before its even out.
Thank You for the link! This video has been extremely helpful. You're the second channel that I have seen using the RODE Wireless Go Mics (Well I know there are tons more, but 2 that I have actually seen the mic in use). They are going onto my wish list for sure.
@@travelpockets This has definitely helped steer me (pun intended?) in the right direction for things I need to be looking at to start up. I will keep in touch if I have other questions. 😊
The Rode transmitters can be set to record as a backup. They can have up to 7 hrs uncompressed saved. Once set, they automatically start recording when turned on.
Hey! I've viewed your TH-cam channel, for the first time and have done subscribed. Keep doing a very good content. Love from Assam state (INDIA) 👌✌❤❤❤❤❤👍
Very good and helpful video! For overheating concerns, I'd recommend running the GoPro without a battery, just plugged into USB power. You can also put a small 40 mm USB fan over the battery opening; although it would not work with the media mod. I like the Telesin charging case you recommended. I use one of their regular chargers and the case would be better in the car so batteries don't fall in between seats or get lost. Would you have any specific suggestions for inside camera angles for solo vlogging? I was thinking the angle you used at the end of the video works best but I'd love to hear your thoughts...
Thanks for the recommendation on using the cable with no battery. I'll have to try that out! As far as angles, there are so many you can go with, but I personally like the driver's seat angle the best with the camera on the far left - the original way of how I started all this😊
Thanks for sharing. I have the rode wireless go but the original model. I'm still struggling to get good clear speech over the road noise. The speech is clear, the road noise is just so loud over the top of it. Still experimenting...
It's really hard to get the road noise completely out of the video because in a lot of places, you're driving 65-75 miles an hour. Using audio filters in Premiere helps, but you still hear the noise. I'm testing out the DJI wireless mics on the next road trip and I'll see how that goes!
Awesome video! I noticed my gopro 10 overheating on trips as well. I tried removing the battery and using a USB C charger from the car and it doesn't over heat when doing long footage like motion lapses :D
Holy cow! You really like the GoPro! haha (I got only the Hero 10 for now, but I am glad to meet you and your channel) ----------- EDITED: I would like to see this army of GoPros in action LOL.
Hahaha yeah.... every time I get a new GoPro, I still keep the older ones. It's just fun to see all the different angles :) That's a great idea on showing how I get things in motion with this GoPros! Maybe on the next road trip,
I just ordered my first gopro so this is quite helpful. What kind of mount do you have for your dash? Is it adhesive or suction? Looking forward to checking out all of your travel videos!
Good video! Regarding low light, I'd seen videos where using a hohem iSteady 4 gimbal (specifically designed especially for Go Pros) can help, plus there are videos here on TH-cam with some settings for low light on the Go Pro 10, which are pretty impressive.
Thank you sharing! I’ve just started a YT channel and am looking to invest in a mic. I keep delaying because it looks like a little bit of hassle setting them up and I might forgot to turn them on too. Was thinking of Saramonic or Rode but now in my country some people manage to get their hands on the Dji Mic already. I’m currently relying fully on the HERO10 built in mic until I’m ready to part with my money for the Dji Mic 😀
Glad it was helpful! I'm thinking about investing in the DJI Mic for my next road trip too. It has a lot of features that I like and there's been good reviews so far.
Great setup. I just picked up the 10 and while testing it in the car it overheated after 20 minutes. I’d love to know how you edit your codes and if you use Adobe or something else.
Thanks for the video on your equipment. Do you only use GoPro branded batteries, or do you also use third party batteries (like Telesin)? If you have tried third party batteries, have you had any issues with them? Thank You!
Good video. The overheating is a problem. I've experienced the same thing. So I bought online metal cases that go around each of my three gopros. I have two GoPro 8s and One go pro 7. That allows me to shoot about 40 to 60 minutes depending on the cars internal temperature. Also I use the GoPro remote control and have had decent success with it activating all the cameras at the same time. My metal cases are built by Puluz. It was recommended by a TH-camr who said they did dissipate heat well.
Thanks for the info! I'm hearing from more people that overheating is definitely a problem. It doesn't bother me too much, but I can see how this can be a pain for many others.
@@travelpockets from what I understand the cameras were designed to be used outdoors like on the helmet of a bicyclist. The moving air would keep them from overheating. I never had a problem with my GoPro is outdoors. But I did once I mounted it into my car to see how that would work out. It didn't. They overheated. That's why I bought those metal cases and they've been recommended because they they seem to be good at dissipating heat somewhat. I have some experience with the zoom microphone also. But you're right. Unless you use an external microphone on it it's not the greatest audio in the world. But then you're also right that that creates other problems. Also I didn't know if you turned off stabilization or not. I've seen postings that say that for car usage it's better to have it turned off. I know that's true for cameras on tripods. Anyway, once again, enjoyed the video. Good luck on your channel.
@@jayfromaz Hmmm, so the still air causes the overheating too... interesting. The metal cases are a good idea, but with my setup, I have to use the GoPro Media Mod with the RODE mics, so I'm unable to put a case over that. I have tried tests where I turn the stabilization on and off and it doesn't make a difference with the overheating in the car.
Hello! All of them are really great for beginners, but if you want to save some money, you can probably get the GoPro HERO8 for a good price. I would say either HERO8 or HERO9.
I'm overwhelmed. And I'm afraid to ask, but really want to know...how much time does it take you on average to edit all of the footage for one of your videos?

I just use the regular sticky dash mount that usually comes with the GoPros amzn.to/3s9mlgp

I use third party batteries on my older GoPros like the GoPro HERO8 and HERO6 and they work totally fine. No issues.
Good advice
What is the model number red cable connected to Gopro10 & Rode wireless 11, can you give me model number and where I can I buy it please??? Thanks ❤️
The red cable comes with the Rode wireless mics: amzn.to/3gOEQCI
GoPro HERO10: amzn.to/3BqbRyD
Where can I find the aluminum cage
Looks like they don't have the one I use on Amazon anymore. This is the closest one I could find: amzn.to/3zindFk
