This was the BEST tutorial and I watched so many videos before yours!!! Thank you for not only the modeling but also the split screen to show a close up of what you were talking about. Many thanks!!!
I don’t know why people were claiming that this was not for beginners. But anything that someone is trying to do with recording they should at least know a little bit. Maybe I’m not a beginner, but this is the first time using one of these systems and this was very easy for me to understand and I feel like now I can do what I need to to get the best out of these for my TH-cam adventures
wow...just like everybody else in the comments...I just received the nice Rhode box which proudly states: Designed and made in Australia....but apparently SOMEONE in Australia forgot that products need instructions!!!!
Great vid. One thing to add to your video. During the video you said that you need to “somehow” hide the wireless mic with the front having the bright rode logo. In the package there are two black stickers that come with it. You can use those to stick it on the front of the mic to black it out. I placed that sticker a little higher so it would also dim the lights more. Hope this is helpful. And I agree with another comment I saw. Rode should use your videos for their tutorials.
Thank you so much for this video. As a very novice videographer, I would have had no idea how to link the TX and RX to my iphone and what settings to use as there were no instructions in the box. I watched your video before making the purchase as the ME seemed the right option for me. I'm not a big TH-camr and budget was a consideration and this is top end for my needs (only use imovie to edit it - no time or desire for any other post production edits) but having just tested the RODE ME, it will be a game changer. My last microphone broke some time ago and was not wireless. My videos tend to be filmed outside, so the last few have been poor due to relying on the iphone microphe. During the test it even performed quite well on playback despite some gusts of wind. Thank you once again. RODE should be thanking you for the excellent tutorial for beginners.
At around 13:33 your transmitter on your shirt has a wire??? Is that a different mic not provided that plugs into the transmitter thats hidden behind your shirt or what? Thanks
Do you know if it works with the front facing camera on an android phone? Weird question I know but i have a purely bluetooth lavalier mic that only works in advanced camera mode, which only works on rear facing mode
Every time I close out of the app on my phone and I plug it back in. It shows that my audio is running to be merged instead of split like how I set it.
Thank you so much for posting this video! I couldn’t figure out how to use it at all, until I watched your video, you explained everything so clearly and quickly I was able to get it up and running! I mean, oh my goodness I couldn’t even figure out how to charge them until I found your video. 😂👏👏👏
Thank you for all those explanations ! Very usefull. At 10:58 it seems super stupid from RODE to have put the mic on the receiver at the back of the device on not in front ! Oh sorry, it's on purpose as to sell the Flex clip.
Thanks for this very helpful video! Do you have any suggestion on physically attaching a Rode Wireless Me receiver to an iphone with MagSafe? The Rose MagClip Go magnet wasn't strong enough, not securely attaching the receiver to the iphone. Thank you!
i have just bought it but i dont know how to use it in my macbook. the light of connector is orange in rx. i dont know why. i can not use it. whats wrong?
Thank you for this tutorial! Like many others said, Rode really should use this as their beginner's guide. Super helpful and informative, just what I was looking for!
Hello i have just one question, do i need to use the app to use the mic ? It make my phone overheat too much and the sound is desynched so i rather use the camera app from my iPhone directly
How do you clip the RX device to the camera/phone? Is that something you have to buy? I have the Wireless ME and want to clip it to the back of my phone
Thank you so much for your great video. But let me ask you a query: Is it possible to connect a mixer /amplifier to a mobile /laptop which is connected to the Rode wireless mic to pass the audio through the speaks on a live program ? If so,how to do it ? Thank you so much .God bless you .
Hello. I have Wireless Me already but I want to add one Wireless Go II transmitter to my setup. (I couldn't find single ME transmitter in shops thats why) As I know go 2 support internal record. But it records on transmitter or receiver? May I able to use that feature even when I add Go2 transmitter to my Me Receiver? Thank you.
Did it eventually charge? I am only getting a flashing red light when connected to USB-C. The instructions I found say flashing red means very low battery, but it never goes solid red to indicate it’s taking a charge.
I just got the rode me so even tho I only have one mic and one transmitter I can use the transmitter to do an interview with a second person or just get a second mic ?
I just bought rode on the recommendation of a friend that used to work for Bose. First clue when there were no instructions with the microphone. Second is the special apple dongle need to connect this thing to my phone. Third is how absolutely wildly complicated getting set up and started is. I don’t understand any of this crap. This is clearly a microphone set up for professionals
Thanks for the informative video. The app wasn't working straight away with me. It took me a while to figure it out. I had to switch on the OTG connection first. But now the mic is still not working. My internal mic still is taking over. Any ideas how to solve this?
I still dont get it, If i connect the wirelessME to a gopro 9 like I have, how can i record only one audio? because I dont want to record on both the receiver and the transmitter, only on one of them to make some moto-vlogs
Great video mate! Question - If you have gain assist on both transmitter and receiver (connected to iphone 15), do you still have to mess around with the levels? I'm trying to record inside a gym (so lots of background noise). So if 'gain assist' stops overpowering voice/ bangs, does the level simply increase the person speaking + hopefully reduce background music/ noise? i'm trying to find best setting for this. Thank you!
hey i have a question when i was trying to pair the rx i got mesage pop up that it required too much power i have a iphone 14 pro max i was wondering what should i do
Awesome! 😁👍 Can’t wait to see if you think the video was worth a cup of coffee or maybe even two? 😘☕️: geni.us/buymeacoffe Thanks again for watching! 😃👍
No matter what I do my audio is only getting picked up by the camera microphone and not the me microphone. I have everything connected the right way. Do you know why this is happening?
Just wondering. Why does it only have 1 single audio output , when it records on 2 microphones? I just assumed that it would be 2 audio tracks in premier. But... no?! How inconvenient! It would be grate to record background sounds and different sound layers that you could later adjust in edit! Do you know if this is an option on a higher price class of rødes ? any thoughts?
Awesome video, I do have one question: Can a person use only the receiver and still have better audio quality than if they were to only use the original camera microphone?
Hi there, I downloaded the app, but when I plug the RX into my phone nothing changes on the app, I do not get the same screen that you do, its just a grey screen which says connect your device, so the app is not seeing the device? Please help.
I did all the steps and it doesnt work🥲when i pair them, it has to say unpair? So I know it was paired, in mine, it doesnt appear like that, it keeps saying pair
Thank you for making this video!! I am struggling with how to charge it. What should I buy to get both the transmitter and receiver charged? If you have any links, I would love that. Thank you in advance!
Can you please make a video on how to connect the Rode Wireless ME with an iphone? Is it superior to just use the USB-C lightning cable included or should I use the red cable and 3.5mm adapter jack to plug into my iPhone?
@@MK-Creator I got it now, thanks! I didn't realize that the black cable plugging the Receiver into the iphone is not only just for using the app to adjust settings but also for recording real videos too. I thought there was a different set up for that.
@dailyworkjournal so happy to hear that you managed to figure it out! 😃 Can’t wait to see if to was worth a cup of coffee or maybe even two? 😘☕️: geni.us/buymeacoffe Thanks again for watching! 😃👍
Have you ever tried to use a splitter on the ME to have two wired mics inputs into the ME 3.5 input. So I want to capture input from my helmet speakers (other riders) from a separate source to a splitter/joiner on one side and a mic to the other side running , the two signals to the input of the Me. Possibly using a rode ai mini or a double female input(3.5 trs ) to a single male (3.5 trs)
Thank for the video, it is been very useful to watch it, as I purchased a new mic. Could you please tell me how can I reduce the audio input gain on an iphone ?
Thanks! 🙏 The input gain can not be adjusted in the built in camera app. I would probably advice to use the Røde Capture app where you can adjust the I out gain. 😁👍
Very usefull. I havent set the mic levels on the camera like this obviously Is it possible to set the mics to turn on automatically when the camera is in recording mode?
Hey,😂 even better still, your instructions on how to properly adjust gain when connecting to camera🎉. Perfect😊 everything works now! But now I need to cut some of the fluffy attached to RX! When RX with fluffy is attached to the hot shoe, camera switches to viewfinder not LCD screen😂😂
