The Evil Case Of Van Krevel Family

  • August 18th, 2000. New South Wales, Australia. A forty-eight-year-old man sleeps peacefully in his bed as if it was any other night. But this would not be an ordinary night, it would soon become extraordinary as a man slowly slipped through his bedroom window with one objective. Murder.
In the following case, we investigate the chain of events that not only led to this killing, but the events the preceded and followed it. The murder of Jack Van Krevel would turn out to be just one act of extreme violence in a long list of evil deeds.

Australia, the UK, and Canada all seem to be pretty lenient on sentencing in general, and not just for females. Keith only got sixteen years for the physical murder of Jack, and yet he’s eligible for parole after serving twelve?? In America, that’d be LIFE, with no parole - maybe paroled when he’s like, 75 years old and still alive! Obviously, we have overcrowded prisons here in the US, and senseless laws against cannabis, jaywalking & other “crimes”, but mostly the worst of the worst get their due justice served. Not always, of course,-we have faulty legal systems too-but when they do get put away, it’s definitely not this 10-35 year bullshit I hear about in other places. Or, they used to be executed, but that’s sort of up-in-the-air nowadays…

Look at the horrific affects that child abuse has. These two people were completely warped and changed by the torment in their childhood. It is horrible that there was no justice for them as kids, the only justice available was when they were pushed to the point of taking justice into their own hands? But by then it was far too late.
There needs to be more support for children in these situations.

Discrepancy at 0:50- 0:52. Narrator says 6500 but the population on the screen is 65,000. Not hating, just genuinely point something out if ya want to fix it. Love these vids. So classy that you take the time to remember the victims and to send condolences. 10/10!

1 minute 30 seconds in and I call the dad killed the mom. Moms don’t walk out (usually) unless they are on drugs. Every case where a husband claimed his wife walked out, abandoning children, never to be heard from again, should be re investigated. I think a precedent of lazy police believing a mom walked out has created the perception that it is likely. Moms don’t walk out unless on drugs. Usually.

There was a lot of evidence against Arkel. He was protected by his political connections and wealth for decades.
I am a person who grew up in the same area and at the same time as these events took place. Thankfully I was raised in a stable home and was not a target of the circle of criminals that prayed upon my less fortunate peers.

when you go through that type of abuse as a child
unless you manage to get really good therapy
all the anger you feel from your past, well you either hold it all in and punish yourself or you blame everybody else for not saving you as a child and end up lashing out with really bad anger issues which usually leads to violence
I ended up holding it all in, my brother on the other hand is just lucky he has such a good solicitor otherwise he would have done time a couple of times
we both ended up with bad mental health issues, and mine led to me ending up with fibromyalgia so now I have to deal with the pain in both body and mind
so please, please, please if anyone has children, don't abuse them as it's not just their childhood you'll f**k up but the rest of their life, plus your child will probably hate you more and more as they grow older

What's with these countries that give gruesome murderers 15-16 years? Many are released to repeat their evil deeds. Where I live, if you hack someone to death, you rot in prison until death.

I can't believe Belinda said killing him, was worth losing her daughter.
So messed up. All of it for someone who put her on his kill list.
She clearly has cptsd, the stabbing of Marshall is evidence of that.
