    The Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta Forged Master Cylinder is Brembo's new addition to the RCS line - our most popular selling aftermarket brake master. The variable lever ratio makes this the perfect option as it allows the rider to tune the feel in a way that best suits their individual riding style.
    ONE MASTER CYLINDER, THREE RIDE MODES
    The selector operates a cam mechanism to let the user choose between three different responsiveness settings.
    In the Normal setting, indicated on the master cylinder with the letter N, the bite point starts more gradually, making it suitable for city riding or braking in poor grip conditions.
    In the Sport setting, indicated on the master cylinder with the letter S, the beginning of the bite point is shorter than in the N setting. This setting produces a more dynamic response suitable for sportier riding.
    Lastly, in the Race setting, indicated on the master cylinder with the letter R, the position of the cam mechanism shortens the initial stage of the bite point even further to produce the same immediate response of the master cylinders used in MotoGP, letting the rider reach the bite point of the brakes instantaneously. This setting is ideal for use on the race track, where every hundredth of a second shaved off a lap time counts.
    By simply changing from one setting to another, the rider can configure the braking response and feel of the bike immediately and predictably.
    TECHNICAL FEATURES
    Material: Forged aluminium
    Piston mm: 19
    Lever ratio: 18-20
    Lever type: Folding, standard length
    Single/double disc: DOUBLE
    Surface protection: Hard anodized
    Weight (gr): 350
    Brake light micro-switch: Yes, switch is included
    Banjo Bolt: Double banjo bolt with copper washers included
    Items required to complete installation:
    We suggest using the Brembo Brake Reservoir Mounting Kit (Brembo Part# 110.A263.85) as it includes a reservoir, bracket, hardware and tubing.
    The 19RCS includes a double banjo bolt with 4 copper washers. This will work if you have a 2 brake lines coming off the master cylinder. If you only have 1 line off the master you will need a M10x1.0 Single Banjo Bolt Brembo Part# 06.2228.76 or equivelant.
    If you intend to use your stock reservoir you will require a length of 6mm Tygon 2375 Tubing and 2 3/8" Spring Clamps.
    Brake fluid will be needed. We suggest replacing all of the fluid in the system when you install the master.
    The Speed Bleeder Bag and Hose Kit is a real asset when bleeding the brakes. It can keeps the job clean and can be reused.

    Also, if the MC doesn't come with a brake light switch, are aftermarket switches universal?

    Hey Brian, I damaged the original master cylinder on my 2020 street triple R, I believe it uses brembo m4s. If I wanted to replace it with one of brembos RCS models would the rcs19 be the one I go with? I've seen some conflicting information on which lever is for what kind of brake online.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a brake light switch, not a pressure switch. It has been a minute but I think there is a small screw that holds the switch on like you see with the OEM masters. - Van

    • @djwordnyc
      @djwordnyc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sportbiketrackgear Hey Van, thanks for the response! I figured it out, it's not a screw, it is just plastic pins that push into the master. The pins protrude from the brake light switch. I just put a small flat blade between the switch and the master and it popped right out.

    Ian, I have a question on a 2020GSX-R1000R master cylinder. The bike comes with SS lines and I installed Vesrah pads. Canyon ride and upper intermediate tracker. My question to you is that being at my level I don't trail brake and will probably have to since riding a liter bike compared to a Triumph ST. Does this new Brembo model master Cylinder work well with trail braking and hope you know what I'm referring to. I have a friend that has a new R1 and he has changed master cylinder as well as pads, has a very short through and for the canyons works good but for tracking I would think that it is way to touchy. Maybe that would work for someone with a lot more experience and faster rider at a much higher level of skill! Please let me know what your opinions on my thoughts.

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ride pretty well and use this at the track. IMO this provides more feel than the OEM master ever could. Much easier to use and it allows for adjusting just how the lever feels and power is applied. This is an excellent mod for track riding. - Van

    the lever ratio adjustment (Ratio Click System) that permits to fix the lever ratio on two
    possible settings: 18mm for the maximum brake power control, 20mm for maximum
    readiness of the brake system.

      @@sportbiketrackgear Greetings from Hong Kong. I think the thing you said in the video is correct, I did some search online and it said 18mm has more tolerance and 20mm is more like for racing. I also tried it on my own bike, the red pivot on top (18mm), the braking power is more gentle and precise. I totally forgot that I can change the lever ratio adjustment before watching your video, since the corsa corta was installed for quite a bit of time. And my bike was set to 20mm all the time and I think it was too powerful. Thanks for the great videos and keep it up man.

    Hey van. I ride a CBR1000RR. The nissin master cylinders on these bikes notoriously have a lot of travel. I think Honda does that to make their bikes more user friendly if that makes sense. It’s not like my brakes are weak, the lever just moves too far before the brakes kick in. Is this product something that will help with that?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a Brembo Master Cylinder will be a massive improvement over the OEM unit. More power, more feel and all that travel will be gone. - Van

      @@sportbiketrackgear I also notice that no matter what kind of fluid I use (RBF600 changed every other oil change), I still get about 1-2mm of fade if measured at the end of the lever. Street riding, track riding, whatever; as soon as the front master starts to see action it fades a little. Master and calipers were just rebuilt and I can leave a zip tie on the lever for days without leaking anything. I’m just astonished at how poorly this Nissin MC performs

      If you want to go that route Brembo offers a fitment chart on their site that will display the size they recommend. Most often times this recommendation will keep the braking performance more in line with the OEM. For most modern bikes 600cc and up riders are choosing the 19mm piston for track riding. This is what we have used on our bike and prefer it. - Van

      @@munkeemunks look at it this way, hydraulic master and slave cylinder is just like front sprocket and rear sprocket. The smaller the master cylinder (assuming same slave cylinder size) makes a lighter pull and more precission. If you get a bigger caliper and use the stock master, you will pull so deep its not even practical (the lever could probably touch the handlebar). On the other hand if you get a bigger master cylinder and stock caliper, it will be heavy, and you can't brake precisely because you touch that lever with a little bit of power and suddenly you go into full brake mode. So just like front and rear sprocket, smaller front and/or bigger rear, less work more torque, bigger front and or smaller rear, more work less torque.
      Hope that helps

    I think there's some confusion in terminology used in the video. At the 18 setting it takes LESS effort to pull the lever, but with more lever travel for a given braking force, while at the 20 setting it take MORE effort to pull the lever but with less lever movement for that same amount of braking force. Its basically trying to mimic both an 18mm and a 20mm diameter master cylinder piston through the use of fulcrum/leverage. A smaller than stock dia. master gives you a soft but mushy feel that is easier to modulate, while a larger than stock master give immediate bite but at the expense of being wooden feeling. Most modern sport bikes come with 19mm masters, hence why Brembo gave you the 18 and 20 (equal to millimeter) settings.

      The confusion here is u. The 18 and 20 is not diameter of the cylinder but the fulcrum to load gap on lever. Diameter is constant at 19 for this.
