    I think I have the luxury of being unknown like he was and doing designs on my own time and to evolve. Super couraging to hear that he started the same. Just doing things.

    Really felt like minimalism isn't something that Tom aims for when he goes to designing something and he clearly emphasizes on the fact that minimalizing and simplifying things just makes it harder for his style of design. Idk why the interviewer would talk to him as though he wants him to admit that he is a minimalistic designer of sorts.

      Its the hallmark of design - nothing is as simple and natural to create than a place to sit that is better than the last that was invented

      This is a classic design and philosophy question, what is a chair? Most students of design are given this challenge. Socrates poses the question of what is a chair? And compares the object with the idea or thought of a chair.
