Broadway Star Joel Grey Takes Us Inside His Magnificent Home

- Joel Grey is a man of many talents - he excels at acting, singing, dancing, writing, directing, and photography. Currently, he is directing the Yiddish production of Fiddler on the Roof, which celebrated its one-year anniversary in July.
Grey took time out of his busy schedule to give a tour of his art-filled home and discuss his latest book of photographs with art director Sam Shahid. In the past 15 years, he has collaborated with Shahid on five books. What a beautiful home! It feels luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The colors are there but they aren't overwhelming. And I like the way the open-planned space is divided into different areas; it looks effortless and elegant. I really love all the art on the walls. I'd bet there is a gorgeous view out the windows! And the bathtub is the bomb! Thank you for sharing!

i am 26 going on 27 years old, and have ALWAYS loved musicals but alas, never had seen Cabaret. One day while perusing the web, I came across Joel Grey..and now I love this man. He's fantastic. I wish I could see all of his work but alas, my time of birth as well as where I lived had other plans.
Every single corner of the loft is just very photogenic! He is an real artist with an eye for complete harmony hues & creative energy.

Cool apartment to the coolest singer. I saw (heard) him in N Y with a big band five years ago and I just cried because he was seriously fantastic.The way he can work with his voice is second to none.He was weaving his into the orchestra - and it worked sooo well!

I'm amazed by the thought and creativity put into this home. Absolutely worth wanting to live in and experience going through memory lane depicted by the photography and art displayed literally every part of Joel Grey's wonderful home alongside his awards. And his personality, I love it! I'd truly appreciate wanting to befriend him. Ddespite knowing very little of him, I think he's such an amazing person.

Everything has a purpose
For me, this is the ultimate loft. An expansive brutish concrete contrasting with delicate possessions. Nice decor without trying too hard. One can only imagine how expensive this would be nowadays...

I'm not sure of that tub. If HE can get in and oUt of it at 87...GoD Bless hIm. I"m in my 50's and I would have it REMOVED...though it is lovely, like the rest of the space. lol
