Bro this is fucking funny 🤣
You have to admit it's beautiful when two people freestyle each with something in their head just playing but actually reacting to one another. I don't know. Music is beautiful
2:15 that folk in red is not ready to be hit by some *chords* I love 'em.
that was my reaction as well xddd
3:30 it disintegrates while larnell holds a steady pulse on his left hand. Then at 3:55 it's seamlessly back. Great stuff
Jacob is testing larnell on his talent of keeping time. I love how he is trying to push on what he can get away with, but at the same time larnell is still keeping the groove and the time going. Midi drums are a different demon and to keep the pocket so good as larnell is doing it is a testament of his skill
I like how the little vocal noises from the group around and from the musicians add to the vibe
the ability Jacob has to completely manipulate and change the feel of the jam is so magical
The level of satisfaction to hearing this is the same as scratching that spot on my back I can’t reach. Except that spot is in my ear.
After five years, still one of the greatest uploads to TH-cam! Masters of their craft just having fun
This comment deserves way more likes.
This comment deserves way more likes. Masters of their craft just having fun. Nailed it, good sir.
I'm glad you posted your angle on this!! I really liked my spot being sandwiched between Jacob and Larnell, but it didn't make for nearly as nice of a video as yours did haha :p
Aleef Mehdi Im glad you got the whole thing though. you going next year?
Miguel Aldahondo hoping to! How about you?
Aleef Mehdi on the same page if I save up ill definitely try
Arturo Senni Jealousy is bad my friend
@@jazzupthattriad1257 hahahaha this person is SO talented and above all of us that he's on TH-cam letting us know so SURELY he must be as great as he perceives himself to be, because if he wasn't, what he's attempting to do, would be actually quite pathetic, to the point that I'd feel sorry for him.
Or, I just think this proves that you have to be smart to understand what Jacob does, and this guy isn't. He doesn't get it, so he's disguising himself to be smart to hide his shame of being INCREDIBLY inept and stupid.
Again, it's sad either way.
4:31 - 4:44, such a tasty little melodic groove
The best drummer with one of the best pianists of this century how much more could u need
it's a tradition to watch this once in a while
No need to apologize for the battery. I'm happy to have seen any of this!
There is too much talent and hard work between these two, it really shows when you love what you do.
watching this gave me so much life. I want to learn a section or two in this and play it at church.
Keep coming back to this video to be musically bewildered and amazed
I want to be half as good at anything as Jacob is at music. Must feel so free of restraint of anything. Just think and do without interruption. It’s the only way you can be this insanely good.
Larnell Lewis is an incredible drummer and one of the coolest guys I’ve ever met. He did a clinic for us at PAS in Utah and it was insane
Watching this in 2020 like THESE PPL ARENT DISTANCING
Legend has it the song actually never ended. The same crowd can be found there today
this guy has groove built in his DNA
ChrisTitof972 called Dilla
Man those voices/announcements in the back starting at 7:42 really made this extra awesome for me
so facts though
It literally feels like it belongs and was intentional
It doesn’t get much better than two musicians who are great at what they do jamming out.
I could listen to this all night long!
If Larnell had a real kit he would go absolutely insane and would have made this even better. Also the dude behind Jacob has a Vulfpeck hat on
whenever I see such vids I rmb the legendary NYC train saxophone battle
Man I wish Larnell was on a kit so bad, it would be too good
We'll always have We Like it Here.
Yeah, Larnell was definitely handicapped by his instrument.
This is the best quality I've heard or seen this moment in. Spectacular.
I just got lucky that i got to be so close lol
2:59 is so dirty... good grief
Its like twenieth time to visit this video in other words im addicted to this jam.
If you're wondering how they are communicating and interacting with each other so quickly...that's what jazz is..
Starting to like jazz.
Probably my favorite video on TH-cam.
I know jacob this jacob that, lol , good electro drum playing there man wow . Props to you sir.
Larnell Lewis, a beast on his own right behind the kit
I remember seeing this video a couple of years ago thinking "cool, 2 random guys jamming at a party" then I got to know who they were...
Two musical geniuses at work🤌🏾
When they start laying behind the beat at around 2:40 I about died. THATS how you’re supposed to stay behind the beat
3:34 Jacob is checking if he is worthy of his pollyrhytmics. What a man
The question is, are polyrhythms worthy of Lewis
That is Sir Lewis. If Jacob knows anything, he is not checking shit on Lewis. Lol
Jacob is amazing, but come on, you are talking about Larnell Lewis here. Respect man
Love the way Ben wanders into the background at ~8:30 and looks over to make sure his kid is still having fun in the crèche.
Jacob is one of the few god-tier musicians that actually inspires me to go and play one of the dinky instruments I have laying around
gonna tell my kids this is DOMi and JD Beck.
3:20 that octave shift was smoooth
People don't understand how much work goes in to having the skills that Jacob collier has
Larnell caught cheating on Cory with the new hot little college cuttie.
Two of my favourite musicians doing their thing
THE GUY WITH THE VULF HAT
Thanks bro
Thanks bro
Thanks bro
Thanks bro
Thanks bro
One of the greatest musical talents this world has ever seen, and Jacob Collier in the same room 😍
5:38 to 5:50 gets me every time
Ba
nana
Man I respect both of this two so much, when I first watched it a while ago I had no idea it was larnell lewis so surprised when I rewatched it
The drummer did an amazing job
You should see his Drumeo videos
Holy...the whole video is straight up fire! DAMN
The amount of material here is outrageous. Sick upload good sir 👍🏽
