I want a game for SCP 5000, specifically just the Ganzir defense, it could have a tagline like "You don't stand a chance, make them pay for it.", and it is a super hard shooter game that constantly pressures you with random attacks, from some zombie deployment, heavily armed MTF teams, direct SCP deployment, some kind of Paratech weapon bombardments, conventional nuclear bombs being carried on foot through the Ganzir's missile defenses.
So basically, after Project PNEUMA, which like went into the human mind/psychospace thingie i think, they found an entity that was so dangerous, the foundation realized they had to exterminate the human race if they want to survive. So they released all the SCPS and sent MTF, yadadadada. I think thats the basic idea, though you can expand on the entity idea, which is the main point I think

I really love the irony of this part in 5K story here and just how beautiful the entirety of the lore itself. For clarification, Ganzir isn't just a cool name the GOC came up with for the last bastion of humanity, it is a name of a city of the dead in Mesopotomian mythology. A city that is supposed to rise from the sea and shield humanity from the end of the universe the day the dead outnumber the living. Yet, unlike its mythological counterpart, it fails... And only in the last moment of a dying universe, in its last breath, in the unraveling of the future and the possibility that the end is adverted and prevented, not by a great triumph of good over evil or the clashing of Immortal Gods wielding fiery swords in the heavens for the fate of our eternal souls, but by a single man, a pencil pusher that was too afraid to stop, a right man in the wrong place who tragically, will never know *why* In his own words before his death, "Why is this happening? Why is the Foundation killing everybody? Why is this happening? Why did they send out those files? Why is this happening? Why did Ganzir fall? Why is this happening? The real eldritch horror of SCP-5000 really comes into view though when you read about SCP-2178 and the entity in the noosphere. Because then you realize, the GOC, the Serpants Hand, everyone that opposed the Foundation was inadvertantly fighting to consign humanity to a future of eternal torment and pain. The Foundation was right, and the man who managed to turn back the clock in reality, doomed humanity to remain prisoners to an entity that they cannot see, touch or feel, until after death. Really wish someone would make a continuity followup SCP tying this to the End of Death timeline, since the two fit together perfectly once all the canon elements of them are put in place.
@@Jaqrkazi No. Sorry, but thats a misconception. The Foundation was wrong, no matter what. SCP-2178 doesn't even tie in to SCP-5000, that's just a fan theory. 2178 isn't the default for every Human who dies, it only effects those who know about it and believe it.

While not directly revealed it is hinted at and implied that the foundation found something, something buried in the human psyche that has a plan for humanity, that if it were to go into effect would lead to a fate far worse than death. The only way to prevent it from going forward was the exterminate the human race. Then and only then would the entity be stopped and humanity could be free.
I remember a short story, this song reminds me of that, the short story consisted of a leader of the city of ganzia being proud of the army watching the forces defend it. The SCP Foundation believed they were going to crush ganzir but what they didn't realize is the city would be teleported to a different dimension, none of the soldiers that were defending it could know, if they knew, they might relax in a moment of "your too late to stop me I already defended the city" and give up and relax, or worse be tortured abd give up the information in weakness and then the foundation would know what the game was. For a moment imagine you are a soldier defending Ganzir, your family exists within the anomalous walls, the last city of humanity, and SCP brings out a blinding light that burns out your eyes this is a sense of pain so horrific it doesn't just damage your body physically, but psychologically, being blinded hurts your soul, but yet that soldier fires his gun still in the direction he hears the enemy at, why, because he cares, it's for humanity, this is why one of the leaders of gansia in this short story was so proud, the men who could continue fighting with combat knives when they ran out of bullets, the men who continues to fire when their arms were ripped off, how far would you go for your loved ones or your fellow soldiers in the last defensive humanity, no matter how much your body or your soul hurt, how far could you really go, it's a good moral question. I don't know for sure if the short story I'm referencing was just a TH-cam comment or published on a website, please either send it to me. Ganzir was the final bastion of humanity and it fell because the GOC made the mistake of finding out the truth and lowering the anti-anomalous shield that protected the city, dooming their last bastion.
You should check out the SCP 5K game on PC. As far as my understanding goes for the plot, the scientists that were crucial for the downfall of Ganzir are eliminated by the Anti Foundation Alliance and Ganzir still stands strong. The game is still in Alpha Testing but it's pretty good imo. The next update comes out next month on the 12th.
I feel like after Ganzir the foundation would be back peddling because everything they had at Ganzir either was killed or failed to do anything, and the other organizations may be able to push against the foundation, not like they are going to beat them like it is nothing though. The Foundation would likely fall but the chaos they created would either still destroy the world in another way or the Anti-Foundation collation could fight them back and use 2000 to repopulate the planet after the Foundation's defeat. This wouldn't be a clean victory as every organization is either completely destroyed pre 2000 or are no where near full power.
Remember, the Foundation was *wrong* to betray their own and turn on humanity, no matter what reasons or excuses the Foundation apologists might give. Also, for some reason, I can't help but imagine the soldier fighting as Damon Baird from Gears of War. I haven't played that game in almost a decade, but that character came to my mind almost immediately after the soldier started talking all that shit.
Depends on the cannon you believe in. If it was 2718 they discover they are absolutely correct. Because it’s not just the suffering of those alive now, it’s the suffering every human who is and will ever be born. Ending humanity was the ONLY way to end the suffering of all dead humans, past or present or future. Yet, one man slipped past, carrying something that wasn’t round. For their failure, all of humanity, past present and future will pay. Wilson wasn’t a hero, he was an unknowing pawn for the entity. It won.
@breadstick4458 This always seemed like a ridiculous idea, or alternatively, if it's true, then the Foundation is still evil. They're not helping anybody but themselves. They severed themselves from humanity and then tried to force every other person on the planet to experience that hell immediately. They aren't trying to save anybody. They're doing it out of spite for the entity, not out of any attempt to "help" anybody. There's not even any reason to believe that getting rid of the supposed entity would help anybody who is already experiencing that afterlife. All the Foundation did is become just as evil as the entity by murdering everybody. Not to mention that it also seems to go against the original SCP-2714, which was an infohazard that caused that afterlife for anybody who believed in it, not just for everybody everywhere, always. It also assumes that we're only understandably human because of the entity, which just doesn't really make sense. Ultimately, I feel like the idea that it was 2714 just takes away from the quality of the story as it was originally intended. There isn't supposed to be an explanation that we can understand. You shouldn't try to explain the inexplicable. It makes it far less interesting. The story is, in my opinion, much better if you don't know what the Foundation is so scared of rather than trying to shoehorn another SCP in as the explanation.

Good video, I really liked the exchange of words at around 1:36, though I recommend splitting the voicelines a bit more, as it's sometimes noticeable that they're bundles of voicelines. Otherwise though, again, I actually really like this!
I honestly think you would make a decent strategy game out of this. It has it's high points and low points, but as time passes, you know full well that the come is slowly being dire enough to see Ganzir fall to it's doom. The commander does everything they can do to keep this defense to the bitter end. One-by-one, your forces just ad-hoc mix-matches trying to keep one more day going.

Well the only issue with that would be the fact we don't really have a full idea of what happened in Ganzir, there are stories but it is only parts of it so the story would really be fan made.

Private First Class 'Alex Steffensen' an Danish-born American Citizen who grew up in Anchorage, an loving father and faithful husband, with previous combat experience in the middle east, when the SCP Foundation announced themselves, he joined up with the UNGOC from the US army. During the battle of Ganzir he and his unit composed of a few from the C.I. and assorted Remnants of UNGOC soldiers from other squads, they were retreating from Defencive positions when an 500kg bomb detonated a couple dozen meters away. Alex got knocked out but quickly woke up being inside an building surrounded by debris, he walked around the rubble trying to find any survivors but only seeing his dead comrades from his platoon. Searching through the dust and smoke. He walked aimlessly through the smoke until he was spotted by advancing MTF soldiers which then he picked up an M4a1 from the body of one of his less lucky comrades. Having already been Low on Ammunition having to dig through the magazine pouches of the fallen members of his dead platoon members, after exchanging ammunition and running even more low on Ammunition he spotted an Fragmentation grenade on the belt of his fallen platoon member, which then he threw at the MTF soldiers. Killing one and slightly wounding two. Continuing to open fire on the MTF agents, managing to take several down, he eventually sustained an hit to his upper right arm, but he continued to fight, to the point the MTF agents deployed an M72 LAW against him which knocked Alex out. waking up coughing, but with a firey determination to protect his fellow people and to avenge the possible death of his wife and child he defiantly shouted "I'M STILL ALIVE YOU FUCKING AMATEURS!" Then continued to open fire. Running on his last bit of ammunition until he'd have to use his Berreta he leaned to fire from his cover, but then sustained an shot to high upper left thigh and to his collarbone, where he fell over crying in agony, as the MTF Platoon Leader walked upto him and fired an shot into his neck. Alex is presumed to have momentarily survived this coup-de-gras as he watched the MTF Operatives continue advancing. His Helmet Mounted Camera eventually ended afterwards.

The only reason why Ganzir had fell was because of something unknown which acted a superweapon and some guy telling the "truth". If the UNGOC was able to defend longer or even indefinitely, then all or majority of the foundation's resources would be drained and they would have to retreat. Tbh I don't mind having a painful death, as long as "IT" does nothing else but give us emotions and pain then I'm fine with that.

Tbh being in ganzir would be absolutely terrifying, there would be death and destruction everywhere every second, helicopters and planes falling out of the sky like meteors, tanks constantly shooting or blowing up, explosions everywhere. Apparently the anomaly is what happens after death, which is torturous. It was deemed so bad that the foundation figured the most humane course of action was the extermination of humanity.

we know that the GOC also used SCPs from time to time, so them using one to make a pocket dimension purely to make the world's strongest bunker would make sense.
I really love the irony of this part in 5K story here and just how beautiful the entirety of the lore itself.
For clarification, Ganzir isn't just a cool name the GOC came up with for the last bastion of humanity, it is a name of a city of the dead in Mesopotomian mythology. A city that is supposed to rise from the sea and shield humanity from the end of the universe the day the dead outnumber the living.

The real eldritch horror of SCP-5000 really comes into view though when you read about SCP-2178 and the entity in the noosphere.
Because then you realize, the GOC, the Serpants Hand, everyone that opposed the Foundation was inadvertantly fighting to consign humanity to a future of eternal torment and pain. The Foundation was right, and the man who managed to turn back the clock in reality, doomed humanity to remain prisoners to an entity that they cannot see, touch or feel, until after death.
Really wish someone would make a continuity followup SCP tying this to the End of Death timeline, since the two fit together perfectly once all the canon elements of them are put in place.
@@Jaqrkazi No. Sorry, but thats a misconception. The Foundation was wrong, no matter what. SCP-2178 doesn't even tie in to SCP-5000, that's just a fan theory. 2178 isn't the default for every Human who dies, it only effects those who know about it and believe it.
@NorthernNorthdude91749 while it may not tie into 2178 the foundation was right in the end. While not directly revealed it is hinted at and implied that the foundation found something, something buried in the human psyche that has a plan for humanity, that if it were to go into effect would lead to a fate far worse than death. The only way to prevent it from going forward was the exterminate the human race. Then and only then would the entity be stopped and humanity could be free.
I remember a short story, this song reminds me of that, the short story consisted of a leader of the city of ganzia being proud of the army watching the forces defend it.
The SCP Foundation believed they were going to crush ganzir but what they didn't realize is the city would be teleported to a different dimension, none of the soldiers that were defending it could know, if they knew, they might relax in a moment of "your too late to stop me I already defended the city" and give up and relax, or worse be tortured abd give up the information in weakness and then the foundation would know what the game was.
For a moment imagine you are a soldier defending Ganzir, your family exists within the anomalous walls, the last city of humanity, and SCP brings out a blinding light that burns out your eyes this is a sense of pain so horrific it doesn't just damage your body physically, but psychologically, being blinded hurts your soul, but yet that soldier fires his gun still in the direction he hears the enemy at, why, because he cares, it's for humanity, this is why one of the leaders of gansia in this short story was so proud, the men who could continue fighting with combat knives when they ran out of bullets, the men who continues to fire when their arms were ripped off, how far would you go for your loved ones or your fellow soldiers in the last defensive humanity, no matter how much your body or your soul hurt, how far could you really go, it's a good moral question.

You should check out the SCP 5K game on PC. As far as my understanding goes for the plot, the scientists that were crucial for the downfall of Ganzir are eliminated by the Anti Foundation Alliance and Ganzir still stands strong. The game is still in Alpha Testing but it's pretty good imo. The next update comes out next month on the 12th.
I feel like after Ganzir the foundation would be back peddling because everything they had at Ganzir either was killed or failed to do anything, and the other organizations may be able to push against the foundation, not like they are going to beat them like it is nothing though. The Foundation would likely fall but the chaos they created would either still destroy the world in another way or the Anti-Foundation collation could fight them back and use 2000 to repopulate the planet after the Foundation's defeat. This wouldn't be a clean victory as every organization is either completely destroyed pre 2000 or are no where near full power.

Also, for some reason, I can't help but imagine the soldier fighting as Damon Baird from Gears of War. I haven't played that game in almost a decade, but that character came to my mind almost immediately after the soldier started talking all that shit.
Depends on the cannon you believe in. If it was 2718 they discover they are absolutely correct. Because it’s not just the suffering of those alive now, it’s the suffering every human who is and will ever be born. Ending humanity was the ONLY way to end the suffering of all dead humans, past or present or future.
Yet, one man slipped past, carrying something that wasn’t round. For their failure, all of humanity, past present and future will pay. Wilson wasn’t a hero, he was an unknowing pawn for the entity. It won.
@breadstick4458 This always seemed like a ridiculous idea, or alternatively, if it's true, then the Foundation is still evil. They're not helping anybody but themselves. They severed themselves from humanity and then tried to force every other person on the planet to experience that hell immediately. They aren't trying to save anybody. They're doing it out of spite for the entity, not out of any attempt to "help" anybody. There's not even any reason to believe that getting rid of the supposed entity would help anybody who is already experiencing that afterlife. All the Foundation did is become just as evil as the entity by murdering everybody. Not to mention that it also seems to go against the original SCP-2714, which was an infohazard that caused that afterlife for anybody who believed in it, not just for everybody everywhere, always. It also assumes that we're only understandably human because of the entity, which just doesn't really make sense. Ultimately, I feel like the idea that it was 2714 just takes away from the quality of the story as it was originally intended. There isn't supposed to be an explanation that we can understand. You shouldn't try to explain the inexplicable. It makes it far less interesting. The story is, in my opinion, much better if you don't know what the Foundation is so scared of rather than trying to shoehorn another SCP in as the explanation.

Maybe it's related to the SCP that's a cognitohazard, about death being a continuation of suffering, that your consciousness will continue to feel the pain of all the matter that makes you, until the end of time. Maybe the solution, in this scenario, is to never live in the first place. I'm not saying that's the case exactly or even remotely close, but the general idea of finally discovering what lies after death to be far worse than we could have EVER imagined, would be a horrifying notion, and would be enough to warrant a response like this from the SCP Foundation.

Private First Class 'Alex Steffensen' an Danish-born American Citizen who grew up in Anchorage, an loving father and faithful husband, with previous combat experience in the middle east, when the SCP Foundation announced themselves, he joined up with the UNGOC from the US army.
During the battle of Ganzir he and his unit composed of a few from the C.I. and assorted Remnants of UNGOC soldiers from other squads, they were retreating from Defencive positions when an 500kg bomb detonated a couple dozen meters away.
Alex got knocked out but quickly woke up being inside an building surrounded by debris, he walked around the rubble trying to find any survivors but only seeing his dead comrades from his platoon. Searching through the dust and smoke. He walked aimlessly through the smoke until he was spotted by advancing MTF soldiers which then he picked up an M4a1 from the body of one of his less lucky comrades.
Having already been Low on Ammunition having to dig through the magazine pouches of the fallen members of his dead platoon members, after exchanging ammunition and running even more low on Ammunition he spotted an Fragmentation grenade on the belt of his fallen platoon member, which then he threw at the MTF soldiers. Killing one and slightly wounding two.
Continuing to open fire on the MTF agents, managing to take several down, he eventually sustained an hit to his upper right arm, but he continued to fight, to the point the MTF agents deployed an M72 LAW against him which knocked Alex out.
waking up coughing, but with a firey determination to protect his fellow people and to avenge the possible death of his wife and child he defiantly shouted "I'M STILL ALIVE YOU FUCKING AMATEURS!" Then continued to open fire.
Running on his last bit of ammunition until he'd have to use his Berreta he leaned to fire from his cover, but then sustained an shot to high upper left thigh and to his collarbone, where he fell over crying in agony, as the MTF Platoon Leader walked upto him and fired an shot into his neck. Alex is presumed to have momentarily survived this coup-de-gras as he watched the MTF Operatives continue advancing.
His Helmet Mounted Camera eventually ended afterwards.
Nothing better than hearing the final moments of a man who has lost everything and just doesn't care anymore. All he cares about is defending what little remains of mankind, even if its just him. UN BABY, BLUE HATS BABY, FUCK YEAH!

The only reason why Ganzir had fell was because of something unknown which acted a superweapon and some guy telling the "truth". If the UNGOC was able to defend longer or even indefinitely, then all or majority of the foundation's resources would be drained and they would have to retreat. Tbh I don't mind having a painful death, as long as "IT" does nothing else but give us emotions and pain then I'm fine with that.

Tbh being in ganzir would be absolutely terrifying, there would be death and destruction everywhere every second, helicopters and planes falling out of the sky like meteors, tanks constantly shooting or blowing up, explosions everywhere. You dont need to, its just a suggestion.
