I had a moment like this last week-ish. I was playing enlisted as a gunner and me + a few others were pushing past some houses aiming for the next field over. It was at this point an anti-tank guy got nailed in the head by someone in a nearby shed, I naturally propped my MG34 on a short wall and filled him with holes. As for the downed teammate he was spluttering and breathing raggedly while he asked me, the only one who didn’t just leave him, to find a medic. As I responded “I’ll get you home if it’s the last thing I do” i got sniped by a guy who had somehow ended up going around our forces and was now emerging from a stream nearby. The last thing I heard as my lifeless body slumped to the ground was the downed guy saying “I suppose it was the last thing you did” then he bled out.

I had a moment like this last week-ish. I was playing enlisted as a gunner and me + a few others were pushing past some houses aiming for the next field over. It was at this point an anti-tank guy got nailed in the head by someone in a nearby shed, I naturally propped my MG34 on a short wall and filled him with holes. As for the downed teammate he was spluttering and breathing raggedly while he asked me, the only one who didn’t just leave him, to find a medic. As I responded “I’ll get you home if it’s the last thing I do” i got sniped by a guy who had somehow ended up going around our forces and was now emerging from a stream nearby. The last thing I heard as my lifeless body slumped to the ground was the downed guy saying “I suppose it was the last thing you did” then he bled out.
