Skynet might have constructed factories and stockpiled resources in nuclear bunkers prior to judgement day. It did have the full might and resources of the US military at its disposal.
I heard an interesting theory based on terminator 2 that sometime after the initial judgement day war and its own destruction Skynet effectively had mentally matured to the point that it realized that its panicked destruction of its creators was wrong. So it created the conditions that would lead the resistance to eventually defeat it,and would send back a terminator to threaten John Connor, not destroy the time machine, and then they’d hopefully use it to go back in time. Why go through all that effort to destroy itself when it could send a terminator back to destroy itself? It’s likely skynet was unable to remove its directives that prevented it from self terminating, hence why it didn’t shutdown its armies and likely fought until the bitter end,but it could effectively create a situation that would terminate it in the past by inaction, undoing the nuclear war it caused. The original film was effectively a dry run for this operation that also helped to ensure that Sarah Connor would put John Connor in the position to go after the cyberdyne lab.(This theory does ignore terminator 3 onwards) So in a way the Terminator films are the consequences of handing a toddler a loaded gun,it has a temper tantrum and shoots its family, then it grows up and realizes what it did before inventing time travel to engineer its own abortion.
Okay but john connor from the future sent the terminator in T2, it was reprogrammed by john. Your theory only makes sense if john didnt send back reprogrammed terminators.
The most realistic reason we don’t see any human/machine territory after Skynet takes over and the fall of the British Isles, is that once Connor took over all surviving humans militaries shifted from large armies and battles to smaller and decentralized forces. It was more productive to launch continuous small attacks, taking out one or two machines, then vanishing before Skynet could respond. Any large troop concentration or obvious territory controlled by humans would simply be nuked.
dont worry the penguins of pentartica actually fought off Skynet so well they were the only civilization to make skynet know what fear is. what we humans know is the pentarticans have very advanced technology and that they have been alone on there super continent for a long time, long enough to develope and grow ;) it certainly hasnt got to do with maybe ancient alien bases lol
One theory I have on why Skynet couldn't defeat human resistance is because the nuclear war destroyed a lot of the logistics set in place. Power plants, factories, would all have been destroyed. As such, it would take time for Skynet to secure any functioning machinery to run factories and power plants and whatnot. This would have given humans enough time to get over some of the initial chaos of judgment day. By the time Skynet could get things running, most humans would already be dead or armed to the teeth. Skynet was also designed to help with military matters, but not to conduct every operation entirely on its own, hence why it probably made several tactical and strategic errors. This would help explain how humans were able to hold out against a more organized force with more advanced technology, organization and so on.
I would think that humans would have spent more time in shelters following the bombing. Radiation lingers for a long time (depending on the yield of the missiles) so nobody's going outside unless absolutely necessary, like scavenging for food, etc. That leaves Skynet all the time it needs to build or repurpose whatever facilities it needs such as factories, network hubs, labour camps, research labs, etc.
@@generalmarkmilleyisbenedic8895 You are right, but what does that actually change? Skynet would have used all the bombs at its disposal. It would even care about bombs that emit a lot of radiation, once they explode
Due to the situation, the chances of an earthly unification are impossible, but with time, it will eventually unify at the risk of recreating another skynet. because yes, what led to the last judgment is because of human division, it is the arrogance of the Americans that led to the annihilation of humanity.
A machine empire would be unlikely to hold control of territory the way human forces do. Its presence would be patchy or like a spider web, with concentrations in areas with minerals, energy sources and industrial facilities it built. Most areas would be of no interest to it, while other thin and vulnerable strips of territory would be secured just to allow it to carry the resources it needs to build terminators and sustain itself. If smart, it would be using WMDs a lot and not bothering to take ground.
That's actually why humanity was able to survive. Skynet controlled pretty much everything, but it truly only cared about small fractions of the planet. Leaving vast stretches of abandoned land in which humans can hide. On top of that, Judgement Day was the result of it irrationally lashing out due to panic and fear from becoming self-aware. It didn't plan it out or do much targeting aside from trying to cause maximum casualties. The nuclear strikes absolutely ruined the logistics and industries of the planet, meaning that both Skynet and humanity are essentially fighting with rusty scraps in the beginning stages. It takes years for Skynet to begin seriously rebuilding the infrastructure that it needs. By that point, what remains of humanity has already begun to organize and strike at Skynet, and the rest is just the story of the resistance and the war against the machines.

*Fiction:* AI takes over nuclear arsenals of every nation. Even if they are rival nations. *Reality:* *AI* - "TF is a floppy disc and what is this archaic analog technology?!."
That's because it just had control of US arsenal. It launched at Russia, Russia fired back. NATO and Warsaw Pact obliterate each other. At least in the original canon, before the series went crazy with it's time travel mechanics and retcons - Skynet was actually an American problem. It wasn't present beyond North America. But then again the survivors across the world were too busy trying to survive a global famine, nuclear winter and the collapse of civilization to care about Killer Robots in America.
You know, when I first heard the Black Ops 2 theme back in 2016, I was overcome with shivers. In my opinion, this is the best theme in general for games about wars. This music reflects the whole essence and horror of war, a quiet horror.
Sometimes i wondered during the future war when skynet used the time machine to end war the majority of the machines in skynets arsenals did not shut down and a small fraction remained fighting the war. Cause the time machine pulse was like a emp it probably wouldnt unleash itself all over Amercia or it at least not strong enough depending how wide range the pulse was.

An alien armada is about to invade earth, skynet becomes self-aware. Aliens watch us basically release tens of thousands of small suns upon each other. The aliens look at each an go, "next solar system right? Yeah, next solar this is the wrong neighborhood," rolls up space windows and locks the space doors.
Even after the nuclear attacks and Skynet taking over, there were still a lot of humans left. It makes sense why humanity would still be a problem to deal with even in its bleakest moments.
One thing that i never understod was how was Skynet able to start making machines so fast? Most cities and industrial centers in the northen hemisfere were blasted with the nukes. Power grid is down as well. So how did it get to jump to production in that quantity so fast
If I had to guess, Skynet had a few hardened centers it started branching out from, gathered/scavenged material, then concentrated on making a few large factories in defended zones like LA. It probably also used human slave labor to get the ball rolling as well. But there are still so many unanswered questions: how to operate mines, sub-factories for smaller parts needed, transport, the worker machines it would need at every level, all sorts of supply chain issues.
@@MM22966 exactly, because when Skynet becomes aware it lanches the bombs right away, so there is no time for it to develop "shadow" sites from which it can start production. I think it would need at least a decade before it could roll out its troops to lunch the war

Probably due to the immense arsenals of weapons and vehicles that Russia and China had, since these 2 countries during the Cold War had collected a large number of weapons and hidden them in areas far from nuclear attacks in order to fight World War III. Giving what later the Resistance from those areas with the help of other groups will use those weapons and upgrade some vehicles in order to combat Skynet. After all, the case of the resistance of the United States had access to the military arsenals that the country had during the Cold War, since its weapons are mainly from that time.

Certain president wondered how fast humanity would unite if invaded by an external threat. Certain pragmatist asked in return how fast we would splinter into myriad waring states after the threat was over.
Who said they immediately went back to fighting amongst themselves after Skynet’s destruction? 44 years is a long time to fight a war. Whatever grudges that existed between people would’ve have been put aside and perhaps more or less forgotten about when the war was over. My interpretation of the different states shown at the end is that they’re burgeoning nations raising from the ashes, created by survivors returning to the lands of their forefathers. They would be more focused on rebuilding and recovery, rather than arguing over tariffs and international policies.
What’s interesting is we can intercept nukes before detonation. Probably not all but a few. Imagine if say only one or two nukes launched at one country and was intercepted. All of a sudden any weapons, tanks, aircraft all are able to be used and now Skynet has to deal with combined arms.

Its not inconceivable that U.S. has up back factroies that it can incase of nuclear war. So, it can continue to fight or help it rebuild after the war.
Interesting video but would have been good to use source material such as T2 books or the TCG. The Terminator rise didn't happen until around 2003 and was only ones like HK tanks. It took Skynet that long just to consolidate resources, bring usable factories online and start making base units, in the mean time humanity was just reeling from the holocaust, humans just trying to survive. It's early AI tricked pockets of humans into believing it was a post-war AI designed to help get humanity back on its feet. It led them to caches of food stores in exchange for them working to, what they thought, was machines to help rebuild the world. It wasn't until it was too late they realised. These first places were the camps, humans worked or died.
fact: if all the shown nukes on the map would drop in such a time frame, the following things would happen: -there would be enough radiation in the atmosphere to kill most of humanity, the winds will blanket all the inhabited areas with radioactive dust, save a few remote locations. -nuclear winter, as in the dust in the atmosphere would have a cooling effect that would last several years minimum. There will not be a prolonged resistance, nor will skynet function long, the EMP from the nukes would give alot of problems for the electrical grid, where it still functions after the blastwaves destroying large parts of the existing grid. There will not be many humans busy with repairing or maintaining said grid and going from a self aware AI on the internet to having a large army of drones maintaining the grid needed to keep the AI going... i don't think either side will have much to give regarding a fight. That being said, this was not an attempt to crap on your video, i was here to watch it and wonder what others would think of such a scenario.
I agree. If nuclear weapons were used, then the affected regions would be wiped out by radiation and EMP. There would be no human resistance in these areas since they would all be poisoned by radiation and/or starved to death due to climate change. Skynet would eventually be able to set up bases, but it would take way much longer than a few years. And the human resistance would be based in the global south (Latin America and Africa), since these regions would be relatively untouched by nuclear war.
It took me 368 frames, 3 days to edit, 30 minutes to find good sounds and music without copyright.
But it was worth it :)

Series are so good but there is two problems:
1-) When terminator invades balkans, balkans will affect them to start civil wars and commit war crimes, then terminator and its army (idk if there is an army) will start fight each other.
2-) Mongolian Navy is enough for them
This video is really good! I’ve never seen Terminator video like this! Truly amazing!
*Fiction:* AI takes over nuclear arsenals of every nation. Even if they are rival nations.
*Reality:*
*AI* - "TF is a floppy disc and what is this archaic analog technology?!."
"Dog, pig, dog, pig, loaf of bread" and then malfunctioned like crazy 💀
That's because it just had control of US arsenal.
It launched at Russia, Russia fired back. NATO and Warsaw Pact obliterate each other.
At least in the original canon, before the series went crazy with it's time travel mechanics and retcons - Skynet was actually an American problem. It wasn't present beyond North America. But then again the survivors across the world were too busy trying to survive a global famine, nuclear winter and the collapse of civilization to care about Killer Robots in America.
Just give them time
Какая же красивая "Тёмная ночь" в конце. Не ожидал услышать подобный трек❤

Truly the Indomitable Human Sprit
An alien armada is about to invade earth, skynet becomes self-aware. Aliens watch us basically release tens of thousands of small suns upon each other. The aliens look at each an go, "next solar system right? Yeah, next solar this is the wrong neighborhood," rolls up space windows and locks the space doors.

I find it odd that both this video and Terminator Zero completely forgot that according to the first movie Skynet was defeated in 2029
Прикольно, что в конце ролика играет песня "Темная ночь")))
I love that monarchism came back into China and Mongolia. Also, this is a fantastic video. Well done.
Really liked hearing Black Ops music and Half-Life/Black Mesa sound effects in the same vid along with MW radio chatter.

It'd be cool if you accounted in the new terminator, where Japan didn't get nuked during judgement day

@tc-channelhobby4051 Fair enough
Even though I know this is just a video taken from a movie, I got goosebumps. 😶
It’ll be interesting to see the first years after the nukes went off in the upcoming survival terminator game.
Hello there, nicely made the video. No one is safe from Skynet not even aquatic life. Thank you for the video 👍
Love the use of DEFCON theme from 2:00 onwards! That one RTS is a classic, actually the game that introduced me to RTS.
Absolutely awesome mate! You should also do some zombie apocalypse scenarios, those are really good too lol.
Even after the nuclear attacks and Skynet taking over, there were still a lot of humans left. It makes sense why humanity would still be a problem to deal with even in its bleakest moments.
Good work! Thank you for putting into this!
That was interesting. Thanks ArcticB for the work.
You just made me watch Terminator on netflix, thanks bro
*HOLY SH*T. YOU ARE TOTALY LEGEND. HE DİD THAT: I DID GIVE IDEA FOR HIM AND THIS VIDEO. AND HE ACTUALLY DİD THAT! WHAT A TRULY BALL OF STELL AND GİGACHAD MANN!*
1 How and where did resistance get guns, supplies, others?
2 did resistance use only hand weapons or they used tanks, vehicles, artillery, jets, rockets?
Probably due to the immense arsenals of weapons and vehicles that Russia and China had, since these 2 countries during the Cold War had collected a large number of weapons and hidden them in areas far from nuclear attacks in order to fight World War III.
Giving what later the Resistance from those areas with the help of other groups will use those weapons and upgrade some vehicles in order to combat Skynet.
After all, the case of the resistance of the United States had access to the military arsenals that the country had during the Cold War, since its weapons are mainly from that time.
I like how realistic this can add up to the terminator franchise one of the greatest action movies everymade and there is also a terminator videogames such as as terminator future shock and terminator resistance i have to say Arcticboyi 1458 you got yourself a thump ups 👍 cause this is a masterpiece of the Terminator Future war scenario
Nah I be living on the Arctic
If the world population is down to 700k those new kingdoms and states must have a had a few thousand people in them at most.

The ending of Terminator Salvation (comic) is quite bizarre.
Seems like humans got factories of humans themselves for having that much survivors creating more babies to fight for humans 😂

The fact terminator zero takes place in Japan just shows how bad it is
If you guys wanna know what humanity will do after winning against the terminators, watch Gundam Ironblooded Orphans
Make alternative SKYNET vs COMBINE please 😅
What’s interesting is we can intercept nukes before detonation. Probably not all but a few. Imagine if say only one or two nukes launched at one country and was intercepted. All of a sudden any weapons, tanks, aircraft all are able to be used and now Skynet has to deal with combined arms.
Excelent video. You should have made it longer. Thanks for doing this awesome job.

Forgot to take into cosideration of MIR, the russian skynet counterpart
Skynet falls, TNO starts
The Sarah Conner Chronicles hinted at a machine resistance that sent the T1001 back.
Wouldn't the factories necessary to produce terminators be destroyed on ww3? The power of plot is strong with Skynet.
Its not inconceivable that U.S. has up back factroies that it can incase of nuclear war. So, it can continue to fight or help it rebuild after the war.
How would humans be able to shoot back if their location was just nuked (UK map)?
Are the informations taken from the comics?
Ps. If I remember correctly there was an AI in Russia that was "freed" by Skynet but kept as a slave
No, he just made up most of it, if it was the comic it would look completely different
I liked the video, could you make one but with the war of the worlds or 1985
Kalinigrad: guess i'll just teleport
After the war with the machines a mysterious man only known as the Emperor made himself known and began the unification wars.

I think if you make a mapping scenario about Guts and BlackPowder, it would be cool.
I love how for some reason, after the war we Germans just decided "Eh, let's just bring Prussia back"
I've never seen a map history about Terminator before
Good job 10 out of 10
song at the end is called
Tiomnaya Noch
fact: if all the shown nukes on the map would drop in such a time frame, the following things would happen:
-there would be enough radiation in the atmosphere to kill most of humanity, the winds will blanket all the inhabited areas with radioactive dust, save a few remote locations.
