    Another generous explanation! 👍
    ...for anyone wondering about MIDI, you'll need a "type A" breakout cable.
    (The common "type B" looks identical, but is useless on the MK2) ✌️

    USB C to USB A (+ dongle) for phone/cpu connection
    1/4 inch jack to RCA cable for older input connect (older SPs, tvs, record player)

    you can use a usb c to usb c cable if you use android for sampling or recording your projects ,you can also use a micro sd card (mine 128gigas) works fine for me,this machine has so much to offer for his size,your tutos has help me a lot in 2 weeks (I have not creating a single track,I'm just learn all the tricks before I get started.but the experience is awesome

      It’s incredible for its size and price. I’ve had a few people say they struggle to do the updates using micro SD and an adapter but you could just use a separate SD for updates 👍

    Great vid mate. So you can send your mixes from the SP into a DAW like FL Studio or Ableton with simply just one USB connection to the computer?

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it will just be a stereo signal but I use it all the time now. its especially useful when you are using the MK2 for treating samples with FX!

    Great video! Question for you :) what external monitors/speakers would you recommend for these? Looking to spend $200 or so. And do those speakers plug in to the line out? I don’t want to use this with a computer, just standalone :) sorry for the dumb questions, I’m kinda new to this. Coming from a desktop with FL Studio :)

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s quite a low budget for speakers so don’t expect anything too amazing. I’ve got rokkit 5s for the same reason. They were a good entry level price but it was years ago and I don’t really know the market now. The best thing to do is take a look at what you can get for that money and then look on TH-cam for reviews. Any yeah you can just go straight of the outputs. One to each speaker 👍

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've gotta hold my hands up and say I don't know much about the topic other than TRS is supposed to help get a cleaner signal. I think I've pretty much always stuck to TRS but Its definitely an area where I need to do more research!

    • @Daschill_
      @Daschill_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@spvidz after some research the input dual jacks take TS unbalanced signals only and the out jacks take TRS. You can use either cables for certain applications but in some cases it may be best to use on or the other. For example from what I’ve read you want to use TS when coming out of a guitar. And in my case TS when running out of my Tascam 464, that thing is noisy as is lol

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah man I think we read the same thing. I think TS is best for mono as well so I'm a bit confused as the SP has both left and right inputs. Maybe I'll get a TS and TRS and see if I can notice any difference!

    Every time I watch your videos I find something new that gets me hyped about the SP dude. I'm kinda confused as to why there are 3 line inputs. What's the difference between the line inputs on the back and the mic/guitar input on the front? Is it just that one is stereo and one is mono?

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad to hear that man. Input wise I'm not completely sure. I guess its just to have the option of having something else plugged in too. The L input on the back is mono too so yeah, not sure the reasoning behind it other than just having another one. Maybe someone else might be able to explain better...!

    • @oasanbeats
      @oasanbeats ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah fair enough - so I guess there'd be no issue plugging guitar into the line in? 🤔
      Managed to break the guitar input recently... Should be an easy fix but I'm lazy

    • @spvidz

      yeah and then record both lines on one track, or you could do RCA - XLR although I got a cable like that and it was pretty noisy for some reason. Could just be the cable I'm not sure

      its possible with the right set-up but its really fiddly to pull off. Try looking at videos for Guitar FX pedals as instead as they are more popular, then apply the same thing. Something like this - th-cam.com/video/IZPNkK-PDsw/w-d-xo.html

    how do you get your beats from your sp to your computer? the usb export doesn't work for me

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  ปีที่แล้ว

      USB export doesn't work? 🤔 You can't just export an entire track and then play it on your computer ETC. That can't be done with the MK2. You will need to resample it down to one pad and then export that pad via the SD card. You can resample via pattern mode and 'record' the whole beat down to one track if you need to. I tend to just record my track out of the SP into something else like Ableton to get the final beat

    • @spvidz
      @spvidz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well its hard to say it could be the SX, your audio interface or the cables, or a combination of all three. I've always found my SX to be noisy but my beats are usually quite gritty anyway so it doesn't really matter. You could try reducing the level of the SP and increasing it on your interface first and see if that helps
