      10 Minutes of Yoga I work in a warehouse and I am on my feet 7 plus hours a day. I average 25,000 steps a day and it is murder on my poor feet.

    Ive been so many times here since I started yoga 2 years ago. At first I way barely able to do a downward facing dog but today I can finally follow the video. My next milestone will be doing it without getting out of breath lol

    This video is exactly what I was looking for! I've had toe cramps, foot pain, and even knee pain and this helps a lot! You have perfect stretches to help things feel better!     Thank you thank you thank you! I woke up and could barely walk because my calves were so sore from a cal workout I did 2 days ago.i did this and now they feel fine. And it only took 10 minutes to fix, magical. 😍👍😊

    I have tight ankles, specially after a broken heel surgery I had 3 years ago. Broke my heel skiing, got 7 screws and a plate on my left foot. Some days the tight ankle and the pain on the articulation hurts. This exercise was good. Please upload more foot/ankle stretching exercises.

    An oldie, but a goodie! Crazy to see how far you've come since this video! Since going remote work full-time a couple years now, my body has really tightened up.     Wow that was really good! My downward dog almost touched - closer than ever. I think i will add this as a regular to improve my lagging calf flexibility in yoga.

      Good for you! Calves can be such a stubborn part of our body, but with regular practice they'll definitely start to release.     I love this video! I have plantar fasciitis and capsulitis in both my feet and I haven’t been able to workout from the pain but doing this workout as long as I add it to my new low impact workouts I am not in pain and I have now lost 10 lbs. more to go but I am going to keep doing this everyday to keep my calves happy. Thank you for this video! I have tried 14 other videos and some much longer without success.

    Many many thanks for this Joelle! After years of knee pain and two ankle sprains I've only just realised that my calves and/or Achilles are abnormally tight. I can't even approach a squat! This is my 3rd day doing your routine and although I don't find it fun to work with the unbelievable stiffness of my lower legs I'm sticking with it for the rest of this year to see if I can finally cure my knee pain. Thanks again for making this brilliant video!

    Thanks so much! I have cfs and often get REALLY tight and sore for several days after working a particular set of muscles and this time I did a long walk a few days ago and could barely walk from the calf pain and stiffness, this has moved me on to an only just there ache so now I can participate with my family today! 💕💕💕

    I have been on this planet for nearly 30 years and i can say, without a doubt, i have never thought to put my hands underneath my feet while bending over like in the stretch at 5:20. That is a brand new sensation for me and it felt WEIRD. In a good way, of course :)
    This is a great practice. Definitely enjoyed it

    This is great, I’m a freshmen d2 xc runner that’s jumping from 30 to 50 miles a week as a mid distance runner and my calves have been killing me and my shins but this feels great

      Glad you liked it Rosalyn! Good question about the cramps... Our feet tend to spend so much time locked in shoes that when we first start stretching them into poses they're not used to, they get "confused." It's basically the body not knowing what you want it to do because it hasn't done that before. For most of us they'll go away with time and practice, but in the meantime I suggest either not going quite so far into the stretch, or coming out of it if it feels like too much and taking a few ankle circles. You can also work on strengthening the little muscles in your feet with practices like this one: th-cam.com/video/9GiLEupJq40/w-d-xo.html

      That's a great observation! Stretching, pain, and flexibility actually have more to do with the nervous system and the brain than they do with the body, funnily enough. So sometimes working the "less affected" side of the body first can help prepare the brain for what's coming when we then practice the "difficult" side, so the nervous system is better able to relax because it's already seen that, "hey, that wasn't so bad!" I hope that explanation makes sense!     Hi Joelle. This was a great video thank you. I’m trying to get to the bottom of a plantar fasciitis issue I have with my right foot, lots of heel pain. Do you have any yoga stretches to help get some relief for this, and also any yoga to help ultimately prevent any further pain? I’ve read in lots of places that tight calves is a key to getting this issue. Is also tight hips you think? Thank you 🙏🏽

      This won't be what you want to hear, but keep practicing! It requires a lot of things : open ankles and calves, the ability to bring your pelvis into anterior pelvic tilt (arch), etc. This practice will definitely help but it depends where you're starting from and what your personal limitations are. The best thing to do would be to look up videos or articles specifically for what you're looking for.

    I like this practice but I feel like you’re doing the movements too fast so I can’t get enough stretch I have to keep pausing the video

      I'm glad you like it! TH-cam settings (the little gear icon near the bottom right of your screen) will allow you to change the play speed of a video, so that's always an option until you become more familiar with the postures!
