    I'm on my feet for 12 hour shifts on hard floors, and lately my toes have been really aching. I found this video and Wow! I can honestly say doing this daily is making a big difference for my achy tired feet! Thank you!

    I never write comments on TH-cam videos, but I have to here to give you my immense gratitude!
    I was two days out from starting a 9 day hike (poon hill plus ABC in Nepal) I'd planned for ages and my foot arch started playing up. This could NOT happen, so I searched, found this video, and started doing it daily. The relief and change was transformative. I downloaded the video so I could bring it on the trail (no internet) and did it every morning first thing. No pain. I was lazy and skipped the exercises one day and within an hour was getting achy. 🙃 Learned that lesson and haven't skipped since.
    Thanks so much, you absolutely saved my hike, and I'll keep this habit up just in normal life.

    It really helped me. All of a sudden my right feet was hurting me for 2 weeks and i couldn't walk properly. I did this yoga for 3 days and the pain was so much less...nearly gone. Thank you Joella

    And I love that is a short sequence. It is much easier to stick to a routine of 10 minutes regularly!

      I totally agree, that's why I've tried to make so many 10-minute practices because I know they're easier to stick with! Often times pain management practices need a bit of repetition for the body to get used to it, so it's much more effective to do a 10-minute practice regularly than a longer practice once in a while.

    Thank you for sharing this video. I have hypermobile joints and regularly experience immense pain and cramp in my toes and calves. I can easily lift my toes but they don't bend under which makes it difficult to balance or do certain yoga poses. I'm going to try your suggested foot exercises for a few weeks.

    Thank you! It's interesting to me that I rarely consider what a tough, important job our feet have! And of course, as I gain weight, they bear a bigger burden. They need to be strong! I love these movements for strengthening my feet. I hope to regularly show them love!

    Had to get a toenail removed and wanted to heal the trauma in that area and balance the feet chakras as well, luckily found your video and my feet feel so much better.

    Joelle,I am weightlifting and I started having really bad cramps in my soles. By doing these exercises only twice a week,I am now cramp free. This was amazing for me! Helped me tremendously! Thank you!

    I run long distances on challenging terrains, so naturally my feet get battered quite regularly. I have been doing this sequence as rehab for my feet for last two weeks and it really helped with feet pain. Thanks a lot.

      10 Minutes of Yoga This was great!! I am going to add this to my workouts a couple times a week! Can you make a 10 minute yoga for waking up your body in the morning? And a 10 minute yoga for runners to prevent injury?

    Getting back to your yoga after spending 3 months in bed in hospital last summer. My muscle reconditioning program has advanced such that I can now explore remaining aches. Your videos for knee pain, foot pain, low back reset, si joint pain and hamstring have been very helpful so far. Adhesive capsulitis in left shoulder is also a factor (no dowward dog yet).. I will keep exploring!

    My daughters foot was injured in gymnastics. After being unable to do regular yoga I searched for something that could target the tightness and soreness in her foot. I am happy to report she feels relief and looseness in her foot. We will do this several more times to promote healing for her.

    Thank you so much for this!! I have horrible feet and ankles due to CRPS. I loved that it was short because I have horrible adhd! I do feel a little better!! I couldn’t do the wash cloth one

    I’m going on a trip to Italy in about a month and I’m terrified of having agonizing feet pain like I’ve had before on a trip where we did a lot of walking.
    I’m going to watch this video as much as I can to try and strengthen my feet to help alleviate some issues! (Along with building up my walking stamina). I’m very obese so I need all the help I can get.

    Thank you! This really helped with the foot cramps I’ve been having (probably caused by my weight and posture). I’m going to have my husband give this a try. He shattered one of his feet in a work accident decades ago and he lives with foot pain 😢

    I think it almost looks silly picking up a washcloth with my toes, but it really helps! I hope to get stronger tioee so I have happy feet!

    The final stretch, where you bring your foot up beside your hip while sitting, is there a modification if you are unable to have your foot with with the top flat on the floor?

      Hi Vickie, if that's not comfortable you could lessen the angle of the stretch by leaning back and supporting yourself with your hands, then placing the top of the toes/foot against the mat and playing around to see how the stretch feels. That way you're still stretching the top of the foot, but without the "weight" of the leg in such extreme flexion. I hope that helps!
