I also live in Phoenix. It’s August. And the same thing happened to my 02 Mustang. Thank you for this video. I love TH-cam.

Very good advice! And those vacuum lines are notorious for breaking off and causing issues. Especially that front Red Line, mine broke completely off

I replaced all of my lines with new rubber, even those red plastic ones. Car runs so much better!

Yep I think this will work with my 04 mustang GT automatic dark shadow gray I am having this problem right now 6/3/23 and I am going to skip the evap going to the purge valve or tee it up and see if this will work for me. When my engine is cold it blow out of a/c vents but when the engine gets hot normal temperature I can feel it fade-away to defrost vent

Yep, sounds like a vacuum line issue. Vacuum lines are definitely affected by heat. I went ahead and replaced every vacuum line under the hood. After 20 years they get pretty toasted.

@@clunkercompendium9962 yep that’s right, I did exactly what you did on vacuum line going to the purge valve and cap it off and put that line in a reducer and wow the car is freezing inside so I have a lot of old vacuum lines that I took off cars from the junk yard now I got to find something long and thin so I can root them out with wd 40 and clean them out for reuse and it did not cost me a nickel dime or penny. Thanks a lot for the information it saved me a lot of money 1500 hundred dollars but I refuse to pay that much your video is a life saver thanks again

    Whats the actual name

I don't think it has a name. It is just a vacuum line. Runs from the passenger side firewall to the engine intake manifold.
