  • This video will show you just how simple it is to setup and turn on the "NORMALLY OFF" outlets of an IOT relay with a Huanyang VFD to turn on dust collection, water chiller, radio, lights, TV, or whatever your heart desires. 😜 It's a very easy process to do. As always if you have any questions just let me know.

Thanks for posting this. This is very helpful. I’m not electrical savvy. Your explanations are are well said and easy to follow. Thanks again.

This is exactly what i am looking for. I want to hook an iot relay to my vfd to power a dust collector when my cnc spindle is running, but I also want to be able to manually turn on the dust collection with a switch to vacuum out the enclosure. Would it be safe to also wire in a jumper switch between the 24v vfd terminal and the + terminal on the iot?

I just wanted to confirm it's okay amps-wise to have a vacuum and the VFD running through the relay like you're setting up? Relay is for 15amps, VFD is rated for 13amps, but I'm not sure what is used/left over while running a 1.5kw spindle.

Can we supply to above terminals instead of 24 volt , use 240 volt with 1A current for water pump (according to the given info on drawing 3A/250VAC) it’s confusing

Very Cool Video, Thank You for the time you took to publish this information. Can you tell me the what the connector type is that you used to connect the VFD to the IOT?

The IOT relay has a connector already. All you need is a 2 conductor stranded wire about 18 awg.

Hi Jason and much thanks for the information you provide in your channel. I noticed in your earlier (from may) you had the VFD connected to FC vs FA. What is the difference? Regards!!

That was a different VFD I believe. It wasn't my personal one. That's why I say check with a multimeter which 2 terminals have continuity when the VFD has no power to see which are the Normally Closed sets of contacts because I think the manual has a discrepancy in it.

How would I hook up a flow switch with a relay to trigger an alarm if the flow stops?

I couldn't find the same IOT for 220v, I think I need to make it myself

They don’t make one for 220v that I’m aware of.
