yes, it is a very difficult thing to deal with- I myself also have tourette’s, and it’s definitely not fun- It’s also very tiring having tic attacks and It can also be very embarrassing in public- And the fact that you care that she had it is amazing. Some people don’t believe it’s a thing and some think people are faking- so just the fact that you care is awesome :]

I spent half my life carrying a gun for a living and spent 17 years in a pro wrestling ring. I could never be as strong and courageous as you. You inspire me to just face each day with a fresh outlook and to prepare myself for whatever that day may bring. Bless you.
I teared up big time when she returned with the side of her face looking quite red and sore. Reminded me of my ex of 8 years who has Tourette's; his tic attacks lasted for hours at a time and left him with a permanent bald spot from whacking the side of his head. Luckily, he is in much better shape now (it was a combination of factors, in addition to *a lot* of trial and error that helped alleviate the tics). He has a wonderful job that allows him to travel the world (pre-covid), has heaps of people who adore him, a partner to whom he will soon pop the question, and a close-knit family who has always been by his side. Dear Evie - I hope that you will find your relief soon, too! You are strong, brave, and loved

Throughout that time, we grew and changed...and unfortunately we grew apart. The split was mutual and we've stayed friends since. I had my first tic attack last night. It was TERRIBLE. It was one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever been through. I kept hurting myself and I didn’t know what to do to stop it. I appreciate you spreading awareness for tics. It makes me feel less alone.

When people are having a tic attack and they're hitting themselves, what's the best way to help? My instincts would be telling me to hold your hands so you couldn't hurt yourself but would that make it worse? I don't know anyone with tics but if I ever do I wanna know how I could help, I'd hate to just have to sit there and watch them go through it :(
I think the better option might be to get something to soften the blow, without restricting their movement so much. I know that This Trippy Hippie does have a pillow thing they can hang around their shoulders when her tics have been causing her to hit her collarbone too much. I can't remember if she has a crash helmet, but I'd love for someone to make something to help those whose tics make them punch themselves in the face - I've seen it in both this video and one of Jade's latest tic attacks and it looks so awful.
Don´t worry about the looks or what we´re gonna think about anything, we know it´s not something you have control, you´re an inspiration to people with chronic problems, keep strong!

Hi I got to say you are a brave woman I see this video and all I can say is be strong. On one hand part of me wants to be sorry for you but the other half says DO NOT BE. I guess what I am trying to say being born special you having TS while me having Cerebral Palsy (CP) cannot help but relate to you!!! The part where you end up apologizing even if you cannot help it speaks volumes to me as I have done that too countless times as I always end up explaining why I cannot do most stuff or If I could only at limited scale so I feel you girl stay strong. We cannot be normal but we can live normally. I wont be sorry he he because I know that deep down you will always prefer to be treated equally as suppose to be given misplaced PITY. When people are having a tic attack and they're hitting themselves, what's the best way to help? My instincts would be telling me to hold your hands so you couldn't hurt yourself but would that make it worse? I don't know anyone with tics but if I ever do I wanna know how I could help, I'd hate to just have to sit there and watch them go through it :(
yeah unfortunately restricting and holding us down makes it worse :(
I think the better option might be to get something to soften the blow, without restricting their movement so much. I know that This Trippy Hippie does have a pillow thing they can hang around their shoulders when her tics have been causing her to hit her collarbone too much. I can't remember if she has a crash helmet, but I'd love for someone to make something to help those whose tics make them punch themselves in the face - I've seen it in both this video and one of Jade's latest tic attacks and it looks so awful.

I totally understand, when my tics get quite bad my friends say that they feel bad because they can’t really help :(. Quite a tricky situation

Yeah I agree I have different feelings for different types. When it’s a squeal I can feel it in my throat.
Try keeping your eyes open as longboard as you can. Do you feel that urge to blink? We get a similar urge for tics :)

Also, I really get that feeling of guilt being relieved, I got my dx for autism in January 2020 at the age of 29 and I'm so glad I've finally started to let myself learn more about myself and how to improve my life in an unabashed way. Hi I got to say you are a brave woman I see this video and all I can say is be strong. On one hand part of me wants to be sorry for you but the other half says DO NOT BE. I guess what I am trying to say being born special you having TS while me having Cerebral Palsy (CP) cannot help but relate to you!!! The part where you end up apologizing even if you cannot help it speaks volumes to me as I have done that too countless times as I always end up explaining why I cannot do most stuff or If I could only at limited scale so I feel you girl stay strong. We cannot be normal but we can live normally. I wont be sorry he he because I know that deep down you will always prefer to be treated equally as suppose to be given misplaced PITY. Although I sympathize, I must acknowledge that my "favorite" tic is when you say "unsubscribe...no please don't!". I would never. You should create a P.O. box! Never stop loving who you are!!
