glad you made this video. these people who blatantly fake it are annoying. don't even get me started on the people who claim to have DiD and ''their alters having tourettes''... i mean.. um,,, clearly their neurological structure changes with their alter... yeah.. haha...no.
The funny most disrespectful thing is she said she shows it on TikTok too raise awareness for others then why is this Bishhh faking it for followers? How is that awareness
My son had Tourettes and is NEVER happy about it. In fact he gets absolutely pissed about it. His verbal and physical tics cause him to feel embarrassed and he has pain from the repetition of movement. It’s extremely disgusting that someone fakes a condition that actually impacts people’s lives.
The next step for society will probably be to showcase the condition as something that makes you interesting and unique, maybe even better than other people, and that is actually not even a condition! (If it follows the same path as autism) -_-
genuinely!! its so disgusting to see, i dont have tourettes but i have an unspecified tic disorder related to my adhd and its genuinely so frustrating when i see these things. my tics are mostly motor, my muscles will clench violently in my neck, making my head snap to the side or making my face scrunch, my hands will open and close or my whole neck locks up and such, it hurts very bad and people give me such strange looks, its really really embarrassing i hate that these people dont get that
I have tics... and I'm a highschooler... wich is annoying ,although I've never been diagnosed with anything else and when I tried to see a doctor about my tics she recommended physical therapy wich didn't help but I do have people who say I don't have tics because it's mostly in my ankles unless I'm really stressed but scrunch my face and my neck tenses and those usually hurt because it's more repeated and it gets me wierd looks. This has been happening to me more recently and it's very upsetting. I also make wierd coughing sounds wich annoys everyone in class. I forrg9t to mention that my neck tensing has caused a few problems for me in the past where I'll do it a messnsomething up and then not be able to turn my head. So yeah not sure why anyone needs that info
My son has Tourettes too. He is 10 and while he doesn’t repeat words over and over, he runs back and forth and will make the “uhh” sound over and over. I can’t stand that people fake this disorder. It’s nothing fun to have and the doctor even told me that while it’s not painful, it is uncomfortable. Especially if he was not able to release his Tics for some reason.
@@kaden77Oh.. I have this problem too. But only then I'm nervous or angry. Sometimes it happens at night, my girlfriend told me. The only thing I can do, is to avoid being angry or nervous, which is impossible.
Yeah it's one of the few things about myself where I don't know why but also have a lot of trust in my own judgement of acting/bad acting. I usually either know the root of my feeling or opinion, or I'm very skeptical of myself because I can't back it up with anything scientific. But I seem to be really good at it, or at least I believe so. Here my acting/bs radar is going off.
i've had tourette's for 6 years and i'm 14, and seeing people fake it makes me laugh in utter disbelief, yet it is also disgusting and hurtful to witness
@@dioramsay1337 It can be almost anything, not just sounds or words. My friend used to make a breathy hum sound, then groan and shout "yes". My sister makes this awful shrugging motion that even looks painful. A while back I had an issue where my right eye would clamp shut so hard that when my eye opened again I could see sparkles and my eye had to refocus, not sure exactly what was happening with my eye there. But I eventually got an eyepatch to keep my right eye closed most of the time, which seemed to help reduce the frequency and intensity of the "winks". It still happens, it was just waayyyy worse back then because it was an extremely stressful time. It all sucks. It's disruptive, it annoys people even if they understand, it can be painful, it sucks. You don't think about a tic before it happens. It's like walking around a corner and walking into someone, it's a shock for half a second and then you're fine, just a bit annoyed. I suppose there is a bit more "warning" involved, as in, you can feel the tick building. Maybe it's more like seeing a car about to give you a fender bender from behind, you see the car coming just as it's getting in too close and you only have time to process and say "Fu-" before it hits.
@@dioramsay1337 Tourettes can be anything, from a gesture to a noise. I remember people making a streamer with tourettes hear N words and she said it because it was repeated in so many ways to her that she ended up saying it.
I'm so sorry. I myself don't really have any tics so I can't relate, hopefully you're getting better (?) as I've heard in some cases this has happened.
@@punpunisher1468 just because somebody is a shit person doesn’t mean we have to stoop low to their level and be as disrespectful as them. We should try and respect peoples pronouns just to be kind, nobody needs to “earn” having their pronouns respected.
@@PhysicallyAwake They could also be lying about being trans though. Just like with tourettes you don't pick your gender when trans, it's an experience you have or don't have and can lie about to piggy back off the social credit others will give you for struggling with it.
Yeah like she just conveniently started recording whenever the ticks happen? Or was she just recording everything she did? It's highly weird and suspicious either way.
Even as someone without Tourettes, this is still very annoying. For someone to go out of their way to show the "daily life" of someone with a medical condition while faking the condition, and on top of that making fun of it by exaggerating it just feels insensitive. This is just wrong on so many levels.
Yeah and it just creates more people who do shit like that, like when stupid 12 year olds see it they're like "OOOOOOHHHHH ADHD AESTHETIC I WANNA BE IN A SYSTEM I WANT DID (disorder that stems from years of severe abuse) IT WOULD BE SO COOL IF RANBOO WAS MY ALTER EGO!!!!!!11!!1!!!"
This is just so disgusting and disturbing that people actually fake things like Tourette’s to make money and claim they’re raising awareness, it’s absolutely repulsive.
I hate that people actually do this, faking a disorder just for attention, and meanwhile there are people who actually have to deal with these disorders.
I mean, it's not that bad unless uh. It can kill you, but my doctor said that Tourette can't kill you. But, i actually doubt that, because one of my tics is having to crack my neck without using hands. and i've heard from a tik tok that cracking your neck can kill you. because of a stroke or something.. but it's tik tok so it's probably fake.
@@rob_tarded that doesnt justify faking disorders. for you that logic might work out which is fine, but many people would hate having something they are actively disturbed by be mocked and faked by some shithead on the internet. not so nice
@@rob_tarded As far as I know the neck thing is real but even less likely than getting hit by lightning, and the bleeding is slow enough that if anyone else is in the house you'll probably survive. I didn't research anything before saying this either, but I got it from a friend instead of tiktok so it's a more reliable source(note: I did not say reliable, I said more reliable)
I'm subscribing whether you like it or not. i have like every acronym possible (ADD, ADHD, OCD, PANDAS, PANS) and have severe verbal and physical tics. im very impressed with how easily you got all those words out (idk if that was your first take or not though) because that would have taken me like a good 20 minutes. you are very inspiring and good job.
As someone with tourettes, the fake tics being portrayed as a laughing matter is something that severely pisses me off, I'm glad this is being called out on by someone who actually understands the situations
I don’t have Tourette’s but I can imagine something just happening that u don’t want that occurs frequently beyond your control being extremely irritating. But if u were recording a video of u doing smth and u tic, wouldn’t u just delete the video and re-record what u wanted to record in the first place? I’d do that.
Ye like people that say “OH IF YOU HAVE AUTISM THEN YOU SHOULDNT BE HERE” don’t realize the disorder of autism, it has a spectrum, also I have heard that a lot of people like doctors have autism, but the way these people I’m talking about see it as an “illiterate special needs required” thing when it’s the exact opposite, now I have no idea what Tourettes are but I am assuming it’s similar to this
From my personal experience, the tics I have usually range from vocal noises that are comparable to hiccups, to slight jerky movements of the arms and legs, though there are different tics depending on the case. I know however that it is pretty much never a laughing matter But again, I'm just recounting my experience
she literally pissed me off so much. people at my school literally shout slurs at me, trying to get me to develop a tic like that. its not a cute and quirky disorder, its fucking tiring and draining. slightly embarassing too.
Ignore them, it's not worth the energy to focus on those who choose to stay ignorant. Yeah it sucks, but there's not much you can do about their behavior anyway.
@@Losyde I have (or used to) have so many friends like that. There's this one that was claiming to be schizophrenic because during maths she mistook a five for a zero and while playing Among Us she didn't see cyan in the room... The definition of schizophrenia (loosely put) is a mental disorder that can cause someone to have TeRrIfYiNg hallucinations. Oh My Gawd! I thought it said 40 + 10 not 45 + 15 So terrifying! 😰 Is basically what she was saying. Also claiming to be depressed but saying with the biggest smile on her face like it was the greatest gift of all. Also she said she had all this other sh*t like ADHD, Social anxiety etc. If she had social anxiety she would care what people think of her when out and about. She tries to stand out as much as possible (in a bad way too). She does not have social anxiety, I know that 100% because I do have it. Not that it's that much of a serious thing (I think?) As someone whose spouse has tics, this offends me to no end cause i see how it frustrates him. Im not going to share my husband's tic, but his can cause him a lot of issues if he cant reel it in.. So to see someone play it off like its all a big joke and theres always gotta be a cussing one involved somehow (which is crap.. thats not as common if i recall), just boils my blood.
Thank you for talking about this. I’ve been diagnosed with Tourette’s for three years now and most of mine are motor tics. They don’t happen too often and like you talk about- I do t choose when they happen. They’re mainly just shrugs, neck twitches, blinking a lot of nose scrunching. People who use their disabilities for clout or FAKE disabilities for clout are just weird. And the misrepresentation is wildly frustrating. I can’t mention having Tourette’s now without someone thinking I’m gonna “freak out” or scream at any given moment. Smh.
have u noticed, they always have bright, eye catching hair, like pink or green or blue. also her name is emerald (unusual name) so she obviously changed her name to give herself more attention. they all just want attention
As a doctor who treats tourette's, thank you for calling these people out on their bullshit. Edit: anyone struggle with tics or tourette's please get evaluated by a psychiatrist or neurologist to discuss medication options. My recommended non-medication treatment is Habit Reversal Training - look for someone trained in your area.
If you treat Tourette's, what would you suggest an adult with moderate-severe Tourette's to do? I have tried almost everything. I have even applied for trials for jaw dislocation/replacement, certain electo therapies, etc. At times suicide is definitely conimplated.
The worst part is she _laughs._ Like this is all so funny and quirky to her, meanwhile for some people it can be so bad it’s debilitating and even on the less extreme side it’s frustrating and causes unnecessary social strain and embarrassment. It’s one thing to fake it, that’s already bad. But to laugh like it’s all a big joke is just messed up.
the saddest part is that people that actually have tourretes have to deal with the consequences of people like her promoting misinformation about the disorder
I think I have ticks (which come from having asbergers), but they're not really noticable or stick out so it doesn't really matter. I tend to spin my foot in a circle, or tap it up and down(furiously), and people just see it as a nervousness thing (which is kinda true I guess). I even do it when I'm about to fall asleep and my mind and body are almost fully asleep. And as soon as I notice I'm doing it I am able to stop, but I do prefer not to. Sometimes people see me do it and they unconsciously start doing it themselves, cause tapping your foot is what people tend to do anyways, just not as much. And sometimes when I'm sitting on a bench It can bother other people cause the vibrations from the tapping travel thru the bench and cause it to shake.
That shit is the same thing that happened to depression, some morons faking something to get money and make a a real problem become a joke to the eyes of people =(
@@allmigthygoddess939 honestly me and my dad tend to shake our feet for no reason, also for some weird reason I was just grinding my teeth while reading this
Never knew you had Tourettes man. You definitely add more perspective to it. I especially like how you said that tics just happen, they aren’t forced. It shows how cringe this tik toker is
yea I have one that makes me say ”ew ew ew” or ”shut up” that usually triggers me when im in public because I get alot of bad thoughts that I cant stop so I think that I get those tics cause I actually say ”shut up” to myself rather then a person (I have touretts)
She is not only making fun of tourettes she is shaping how people view your disability in ways that further burdens and misunderstands the sea of people who suffer from it.
It's not just this lady, many on TikTok are doing the same faking sicknesses or illnesses just to seemingly make fun of people who are REALLY suffering from the same condition. Views, attention and money are what they only have on mind and they don't care about receiving negative responses unless real actions are taken against them. It's just so sad at how irresponsible these influencers can be.
as someone who actually suffers from a couple mental illnesses yeah seeing people faking them so obvious is painful, and even seeing commenters falling for it is worse depression is such a big one, i've been through it and done research on it, and i've got no idea where self harm has came from because it's not an actual symptom of depression, it's straight up just attention seeking unless they have some other disorder. my theory about it is it's been developed into factitious disorder through some other SH illness, and just spread from there
How embarrassing for this lady faking an illness, people do understand most episodes are involuntary. Thank you for setting this straight by explaining , it really helps people know what the symptoms are.
not tryna pick a fight but i just gotta say that tourettes isn’t a illness, it’s a disorder. having tourettes doesn’t mean you are sick or unwell, it just means you have sudden movements and sounds.
Im kind of wondering if shes undiagnosed autistic. Because thats the kind of compulsory habits myself and others that suspect they are have. Theyre not so much ticks as intrusive thoughts but if youre not aware of them they can catch you off guard and feel like a tick. its still bad thats shes misrepresenting a real problem people have but in the small chance shes not faking all of them or other people without tourettes find it relatable, this could be whh

As someone with tourettes, who has been hospitalized multiple times due to the severity of it, I can't believe that someone would actually put forth effort to fake it. It's just sad and disgusting.
Hi, I don't know much about tourettes and didn't know you could need hospitalization. I'm sorry that people out there are making fun of this condition. I suffer with several invisible illnesses and have felt the pain when people belittle what I go through. Please know that most of us, though we do need education, respect you for the daily fight and effort it takes to just live life! ❤
Honestly I wouldn’t even call that effort just blatant mockery. I used to have minor Tourette’s but I never liked it it was always annoying. (Think if it like the hiccups except instead you roll your eyes or your mouth twitches and rarely your head might jerk a bit. ) it’s rare to have ticks as frequently as she does and would have to be in the hospital if that was the case. (And when I say I used to have it I pretty much grew out of it which can happen some times but every now and then I might have one tick
Unfortunately, this kind of thing happens so much across so many ailments. As someone who was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a teen, in the past I've had to deal with what I can only presume were kids online talking about how "amazing it is to have schizophrenia because you always have people to talk to!" and comments like that. People speak without thought and often act in the same fashion. I will be honest though, I know next to nothing about tourettes, but can only presume that this kind of severity would be so grotesquely caricature that it would be more at home on something like Monty Python as opposed to it being even remotely genuine.
Edit: the Misgender was a mistake I rushed to comment before finishing the video. I honestly don’t care about social constructs They are not acting like they have tourettes, they’re acting like a 2 year old
My ex friend faked Tourette’s worse that this woman. He started off with just saying ‘chocolate’ randomly - I think that was the real tic honestly because he’d just say it randomly. Then he progressed and started calling black students at school the n word. They laughed and joked with him because he was the nice boy with Tourette’s that did nothing wrong. Then he threatened to 🍇 a teacher and started screaming bloody murder for 10 minutes. He would scream like that loads. I’d hear it across the school. Then he literally tried to JUMP FROM THE TOP FLOOR and said it was a tic. This.. this kid, man..
As a person with ADHD i feel you. Especially when it is cool to be viewed as neurodivergent nowadays because Twitter said so and people fake disorders like autism, ADHD, and Tourettes for clout online. This type of behavior makes me sick to my stomach.
People are trying to fake ADHD now?? It's always something. How does one even fake ADHD, isn't it mostly internal? It is for me, at least, but everyone is different A lot of people might fidget more, my brother is one of those who can't sit still but can focus (kind of), but I don't fidget as much as he does. at the same time though I can't keep my thoughts together, it's always a jumble of different thought processes that I have to try and untangle before speaking or writing or else nothing comes out right, that's the best way I can describe it asz Pretty much, how does one fake ADHD unless they try to exaggerate to the point of looking stupid cause in some cases it's not that visible
Same. ADHD fucking ruins my life on the days I don’t take medication, it’s not some funny or “quirky” thing I do every day. I don’t wake up jumping every day, it’s more like wasting time and barely being focused on something before hating myself for not doing anything and not being able to keep my attention on a task that I don’t enjoy even when I know that it’s something that I need to be focused on Also lots of pent up social anxiety from saying the wrong things before I say them or trying not to interrupt or blurt out because I don’t want someone to feel bad
I literally have a ADHD diagnosis which i barely can focus as mine is sorta severe i fidget or just day dream or make up stuff in my head and its HELL trying to sleep and whilist sleeping i MOVE ALOT ALOT in my sleep that could cause me to fall off as i once ALMOST did my foot was out and sm i also am very forgetful cause of it so i dont get why people think its cool to fake ADHD or anything sure i sometimes twitch a bit but thats like 1% of the time (in my case) (extra: i went off topic ajajajajajjaja)
I’m already not taken seriously for any of my symptoms. People think you have to be running around everywhere and saying “squirrel!” to have ADHD. Sometimes, it can just be attention deficit, it’s not always hyperactivity. I am a huge forgetter and a poor planner, doesn’t mean I run around like an idiot trying to show everyone how disabled I am. If you have to fake or play up a disability, chances are there’s nothing else interesting with your life and you’re starving for attention.
Yes, and he did it so well that im sure he dont have Tourettes, he has Jacobs Syndrome, which often give symptoms like Tourettes. I can relate to many of his claims, its Jacobs, no doubt.
As a guy with Tourette's, I literally can't imagine how someone can put that much time and effort into mocking a legit neurological condition like mine. Like, I can roll with the punches most of the time, but there's absolutely a line.
When I was a teen, I tried seeing how much I could get away with my professionally diagnosed condition... Turns out karma sucks, started saying "fuck" in short outbursts... Until it became a legit tic. I played myself, and got what I deserved for abusing my tourettes.
@@necromaster212121 i run into the same problem, sometimes i do something as a bad habit and it turns into a tic, once i blinked aggressively (just like dapz) as a habit, now it just happens out of my control, and i have developed other tics since then, as far as im aware that is when it first began to awaken
Because now adays the people that do this have entirely different mental issues. They cannot stand that they offer nothing that makes them special or unique so they take things that belong to others regardless of whether it's seen as positive or negative and make a complete mockery out of it. No cap. It was so cringy watching her supposed tics, why would people even go out of their way to stage somethin' like this? Blatant disrespect, I have no sympathy for her.
I have a friend and I’ve known her since middle school , she’s diagnosed with tourettes and autism and during the entire time through middle and high school I was the only one that accepted her and loved her and understood she can’t help it . She feels shameful for her tics and has cried to me wishing she could be me instead because she hates them . She’d have outbursts in the middle of class of anger and tics and I’d be the one in the hallway helping her calm down , while everyone including teachers laughed and scoffed at her . She’s my best friend to this day and she’s 10000x better and I’m so glad I could be apart of her life . And will always be to this day
That’s sounds horrible. I cant believe people go on the internet and try to make this seem “quirky” or “cute” it’s not. It’s a real, life-changing disorder that affects people everyday.
@Daddly Lou Gerera I think it's more of a sad statement of "no one else has shown they cared enough to comfort her". I know I've sometimes felt like I was a person's only friend, and I wasn't exactly happy when feeling that way.
And with that, that lady banalized a serious disease. I think the same happens with OCD, when people say "I'm sorry, I have OCD" but they just want to organize things in a certain order or symmetry. That is NOT OCD.
My dad had neck surgery due to the severity of his tourettes, crazy how you can be so entitled you feel the need to create a fake problem to create a challenge. Earned my sub!

So, there is something I'm going to mention about this. You caaaaan choose what tics you have, but you have to spend a LOT of time trying to control them. And this requires knowing what your body feels like when you're about to have one. When I found a doctor in Wisconsin who specialized in Tourettes, it took months in order for me to control ONE tic. Let alone, all of them. Including the use of a brain activity machine to control how active my brain was while doing nothing. It took a long time for me to be able to get to where I am now with my Tourettes, and I had a specialist helping me. There's no way in hell this person was able to do what took me damn near a year, if not longer, to do with the specialist helping me, all on their own in such a short period of time.

The initial comment clearly uses "it's" (referring to tourrettes) and not "theirs" ( which would refer to the tik tok person faking) Again not everything is an attack on people and don't respond or rush to conclusions until you are sure you know what you are talking about or the context in which something was said. Have a nice day and hopefully now you understand and maybe learned something. Also I'd suggest you stop implying people from tourrettes are "suffering".

I don’t have Tourettes, but from what I heard, it’s extremely annoying and makes you do things with little to no control over your actions. This seems like it would become very annoying and affect your life majorly and I feel like Tourettes is not ever talked about despite how much of an effect it has. Sometimes I occasionally have a twitch where I just tilt my head over either of my shoulders and twitch said shoulder, and this is annoying to me so I can’t imagine nor do I want to imagine how having Tourettes would affect me.

I mean i have a blinking tic from an aneurysm i had as a kid so it applies to different mental and physical issues aside from Tourettes syndrome, either way faking tics is neither cool, nor funny.
I have been diagnosed with Tourette’s, I never get offended by anything and I like jokes and what not, I’m okay with being made fun of because it helps me get better at laughing at it and feeling better. This lady full on offends me, she’s not making it a joke or a skit or anything, she’s fully faking it for attention and misrepresenting the illness in a way that makes it seem fun and quirky when it makes people’s lives harder or at least an annoyance
Yeah, thats the internet for you. Anything that is a serious illness or issue the internet finds away to make it fun and quirky like drugs or depression.
My life with Tourette's and Asperger's has been fucking horrible and a lot of it was due to misunderstanding or promotion of false / funny narrative content. being punished for being a bad kid for calling things out or not being able to sit still all school life, and being placed in isolation 6 hours a day. its just something I would never wish on anyone and has honestly I think ruined me mentally permanently. i don't mind when people find me funny but i do mind when people are being taught an incorrect understanding of something that effects a lot of people negatively.
i dont have tourettes, but i do have autism and very severe ADHD, so i get how infuriating it is to see people fake this type of thing when its something that people have real struggles with, you were a lot calmer than i would have been
I honestly don’t understand how someone could think it’s OK to fake a disorder like this 😭 its just wrong to fake something that many people struggle with.
The sad part is the only reason this girl got any attention doing this is probably completely her political standing. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's pretty obvious.
i had a girl in my art class that faked tics for attention. i treated her nice because i didn’t know what she was going through at home but at the same time it was very aggravating
I think some people need to fake, often because they have something else going on in their life that is bad, like they need help, but for something else. People faking is not nice but I think, we shouldn't give them attention even if it's good or bad attention
this is not a defense of the girl in the video - but I appreciate your approach, if a person is faking a mental disorder, there's obviously something going on there. I also come from a place where I had tics as a kid (quite small, non-verbal ones) and was accused of faking them all the time. Now I'm adult, I still have them and even now someone I worked with, when she noticed them, rolled her eyes at me and asked me why I was 'acting' like I had tourettes (something I'd never claimed to have by the way, she had just noticed the tics). Most people don't accuse me of faking now I'm grown up, but it still happens occasionally - because the tics I have are so low-key comparatively. Which is why it's so irritating when someone really is discovered to be faking
Thanks for considering her home life. I did a lot of cringy shit along these lines as a teen because I was going thru hell at home. I never faked tourettes, but I was a compulsive liar and made up weird things. She will cringe at herself in due time.
I'm in school for mental health currently and one thing that appears to be a theme is often/usually if someone is faking a disorder and/or trauma there is another disorder / trauma at hand altogether that they aren't even aware of. I read a case study once where a woman claimed to be raped every few days by any men that were in contact with her at all, and it was found she had a cognitive functioning disorder and personality disorder.
Sometimes, I remember publicly embarrassing things I've done and cringe. But at least I've never faked a disorder on tiktok for clout. How can they live with themselves. Sorry didn't know, and it's been like a year since I edited already
I'm just speculating, but I believe she lives with herself knowing that many people know her now, as she's likely a narcissist and she doesn't care how or why she becomes a "star" or widely known.
@@Alky64 I wish the world had more people who think like you. Really frustrating when people deliberately misgender just because the one they're doing it to happens to be a bad person.

Hmm I have ADHD and it’s really not all that fun. I sometimes talk a little too loudly and get stressed easily. Oh and don’t need coffee because I’m pretty energetic as is.
I feel ya. I have some of the physical illnesses that were very popular to fake/exaggerate on Instagram a while back. Its infuriating to see someone profit or get ass pats and praise for an imitation of something that has wrecked my life. Its even worse when it gets enough attention that physicians attitudes change towards those of us diagnosed with such conditions and it effects medical treatment.
I had a classmate who faked Tourette’s for years and was never held accountable. Conveniently her ticks were limited to swearing every other word, cussing out Teachers, and speaking out of turn in class. My mum had to deal with her for two years in her math class then the semester after she was finally rid of her she found out from the school counselor there was no medical documentation of the student ever being diagnosed or even tested. Problem was her parents paid full tuition so she never faced any consequences for faking a disability
Ya her sister is the one that outed her and said she has some mental issues but never had ticks before and doesn't want her of her mother in her life for the past few years.
I have no idea why anyone would fake Tourette’s. Sad how so many Tiktokers do some absolutely awful, disrespectful shit just for views. Thanks for making this video and educating the rest of us who aren’t as knowledgeable!
My guess is they think it's funny and requires not much effort for them to fake it for views and attention. Oh how shall I get views on tick tock that doesn't require me to do very much or need any talent? I know, let's dip my hair in bolognaise, shake my head several times and make noises like an arcade machine. Utterly disgraceful. I had a bestie as a child who had tourettes, I didn't know about it until many years later that she told me she had it and I said I never even noticed. Hers was constant blinking especially when she got stressed. I never thought any more or less of her after she told me and never paid any attention to her tics, she was still my bestie.
She believes faking a disability like Torurettes will afford her a measure of internet clout which it did until she was found out after which it backfired spectacularly.
Exactly it's really disgust me. But people do not so smart stuff everyday for money. Alot of stuff people normalize which was never ok. Normalizing doesn't mean stuff is ok it means people don't care about nothing and wanna do what they want without thinking to much on the consequences because they have most likely got lied to their whole lives or majority. Life's already out of they hands at that point. And some people really just be letting Satan's demons drive their bodies around
As somebody who ACTUALLY has Tourettes, this shit pisses me off. My Disability is not a trend for your entertainment, it's something I have to live with every day. People need to stop looking for attention by faking Disabilities.

Hi, I don't know much about tourettes and didn't know you could need hospitalization. I'm sorry that people out there are making fun of this condition. I mean, people have faked cancer and worse 🤷♀️ It's definitely not behaviour of a well adjusted person, that's for sure.
Same. ADHD fucking ruins my life on the days I don’t take medication, it’s not some funny or “quirky” thing I do every day.

I don’t have Tourettes, but from what I heard, it’s extremely annoying and makes you do things with little to no control over your actions. This seems like it would become very annoying and affect your life majorly and I feel like Tourettes is not ever talked about despite how much of an effect it has. Sometimes I occasionally have a twitch where I just tilt my head over either of my shoulders and twitch said shoulder, and this is annoying to me so I can’t imagine nor do I want to imagine how having Tourettes would affect me.
apparently it also is really painful in some cases if it's moving your body, and when you constantly say things without wanting to it can probably be annoying

And she probably made a profit off of doing this. Disgusting is not a strong enough word to use.

My life with Tourette's and Asperger's has been fucking horrible and a lot of it was due to misunderstanding or promotion of false / funny narrative content. being punished for being a bad kid for calling things out or not being able to sit still all school life, and being placed in isolation 6 hours a day. its just something I would never wish on anyone and has honestly I think ruined me mentally permanently. i don't mind when people find me funny but i do mind when people are being taught an incorrect understanding of something that effects a lot of people negatively.

i had a girl in my art class that faked tics for attention. i treated her nice because i didn’t know what she was going through at home but at the same time it was very aggravating
I hope you're she have a good reason for doing that or maybe she's just attention deprives (is that how you spell it???)
