If the school has indeed taken action to rectify the standard of discipline and sportsmanship; it is commendable and I do sincerely hope that it is indeed a new leaf for the school's rugby culture. unfortunately the stigma will take a long time to fade/diminish, it can only be hastened by continued acts of discipline along with a show of good sportsmanship. You are unknowingly accepting the fact that your team was penalised for foul play by SLSRFA. Challenging their decision with a letter saying no Royal player required intensive medical care and they received only minor injuries, is a weak excuse. In cricket, you can't bowl full tosses and bouncers continuously because it's considered dangerous. Players don't need to get injured to get penalised and they have every right to leave the ground if the referee is not doing his job right. Rules are rules. I would tell Isipathana to shove that trophy in their ass if that's the way they want to grab it.
