that's what he gets for picking his house based on the fact that there were quote so many cool trees, I just love trees, I don't know what it is but I just like trees, end quote
It's cool watching Taylors catalog of videos from a few years ago compared to now. He went from telling everyone he's broke and needs to sell all of his cars, all the way to showing us his sweet new tow rig, welder, house etc. Glad to see life is swinging up for him, seems like a great dude.
Looks good, but you should flip the door on the lower single cabinet, the one in the corner. You'd have a better line to get things in and out and not be restrained in between the door and toolbox whenever getting into. Kinda a small deal, but I feel like it will save you some future headaches!
YESSS! I was thinking the exact same thing. Double stacked guys should open towards the rear also. In case there is a car in the way you can still open the door some.
@@Taylordrifts I think he is talking about the thin double stacked cabinets. May make more sense with the hinge toward the back of the trailer and the latch towards the front. That way if you are at the bench you don’t need to reach around the doors or if a car is in will give you more room to sneak in
@@Taylordrifts I'm glad they're taking care of you dude! I'll always be a fan of their products and you're showing me that they have way more stuff that I need to buy from them😂
Now look into some slide-mount trays (heavy duty) to mount in the nose - tires stacked on, just pull it out and easy access. Looking great, always enjoy watching the upgrades - the genuine excitement for the little details is what keeps me coming back. Your space, your stuff, the little things matter.
Taylor, very rarely do you have a bigger toolbox than you need, maybe bigger than will fit but not than you need. I kid but seriously, nice, clearn setup. Love the rig
I like everything except the stacked thin ones. I would push the top one over to the overhead cabinet and put the other one next to it. That would alleviate the pinch point at the bumper and free up floor space for bigger cars. Even if its over the hood of the car, at worst you put less used things in it, and realistically the car isn't going to be in there when your at the track and getting in it.
The stacked cabinets should have been mounted with the doors opening the other way. That way it can be mounted next to the base cab. The wall cab should be mounted next to the stacked cabinets. Just my input!!
Taylor is living my dream, building a race trailer for his race car out of his own basically fully operational auto/fab shop. All while having a baller ass truck too, keep up the good work👍
Have the same brand cabinets in my kart trailer. I’m super happy with them. Been running them for two years and race ever other weekend. No issues yet so I think you’ll be pleased.
That upper shelf has got to go next to butt up against the two double stack shelves. Just looking at it like that is driving me crazy! Good job mate awesome trailer!
That trailer looks awesome. Only thing I would personally change is taking the cabinet out on the right and building steps there instead. Otherwise it's a pain in the butt to get to the tires and rims. Especially if you have stuff at the back. You could even build the steps so the tops open up so you can still store stuff in them.
i thought the same thing although i would of put the single cabinet in that open spot next to the tool box and left that little section empty to be able to get into that area. also could just have a hinged countertop section that you unlock drops down to get over there/open cabinet then lock back in place to keep the full countertop. but if the cabinets are strong enough to use as a step then it'll probably be fine the way it is.
Man those cabinets and shelves transformed the trailer... I know he mentioned an in-floor winch but I'm shocked it doesn't have and air compressor in it yet!!! Maybe in that left corner dead space hidden under the countertop!!!
PRO TIP: You should put silicone on the cabinets at the bottom front, so if you spill something, it won't go in or under them. They look really sick btw.
The single cabinet needed the door hanging the other way, so you don't have to get in the corner to open it, and then the door would open into dead space against the toolbox instead of into floor space..... and I think I would have put the two skinny cabinets either side above the bench, that way you can easily access them when there's a car in there.....
Man that trailer is sick , I'm stoked for you. You should check out Kresto cherry hand wipes. Excellent for cleaning your hands , tools and even boxes. Keep the content ROLLING!
Taylor what you should do is put that little cabinet in to the space in the corner that’s not being used so that way you have an easier access to the gooseneck.
Dude this is awesome! You should add some lighting under the hanging cabinet on top of the tool box. I think a wall mount fire extinguisher would look great between the hanging cabinet and shallow cabinets!
One thing i did on my old work truck was get a 12v Milwaukie battery charger, can mount it to the side of the cabinet and charge your batteries while you drive, game changer for me but im sure you are already all over that Taylor haha Also maybe a packing bit at the back of the toolbox on top so tools dont fall behind it, would suck to get them out if they did fall, but again im sure you all over it. Im lowkey waiting for the epic fummins and trailer rolling shots down the highway, such a cool set up.
Love the cupboards and storage upgrades, it just works, the layout is pretty perfect brother, it's very satisfying to see the process and end result.... killed it!
Tip with that open space on the over head....put a screw in all 4 corners on the front and on on whichever side you want, get a stetchy net, stretch the net over the screws when in transit and when you get to the track undo one side and hang it on the side screw that way you can keep your paper towels and boxes of gloves etc on the shelf without having to packit/unpack it every event or something
I live in Northern Indiana and with farm equipment. I am not gonna lie, Pb blaster works so well, it is unthinkable. I didnt see how much it would help. It works, and yes, the straw is worth the price of a whole can.
The trailer is coming along great! Looking forward to more trailer/garage updates. Underneath the double stacked cabinets looks like a great place for the jack.

Looking really nice! Plenty of storage. A rubber floor with the same thickness as the tracks would make it a nice place to work on stuff. (And less likely you'll stumble carrying something)
For the gap between the upper cabinets above the tool box and the slim cabinet put some harbor freight verticals glove holder for the tool box so you can have throw away gloves
You can put a small air compressor in that corner that connects to a hose reel mounted next to the small double door. Cut the counter top above where the air compressor would be to make a removable panel for easy access to the compressor. Just a thought.
Some of that framing you used for the cabinets, you should make a short version frame on the other side of the trailer that you can hold all your fuel containers in place so they don't take up cabinet space and they are all held securely. Just drop them in and they are secure from sliding around or falling over.
Looks cool! Might as well put in a mini-fridge so you don't get sunstroke in the hot Florida sun, seems to be mostly hot pavement at all those races you go to?! Oh, and you could consider one of those roll-up trailer awnings too.
On your toolbox cabinet you could potentially put a hinge on the top to flip it open and have storage behind the box maybe for odd parts? Also maybe use that open area on top of the box to fabricate a small nuts, bolts, electrical connectors etc storage bin?
I love the racing vids but dang I love the shop and trailer vids more for some super satisfying reason. Taylor, dude you are an inspiration. Cheers and keep up the excellent work.
The trailer is looking great. I would have left a small section opened to get to the goose neck storage. Now you will have to climb on the cabinets to get tires.
Idea for you, I removed the stock hard wheels from my tool box an used "solid rubber" Harbor freight wheels. Made a huge difference in rolling it up and down my ramp! And less noise/vibration
Thanks for linking those cabinets, they ARE affordable! I can't wait to get an enclosed to go through the planning and installing just like you did. I'd mount a fire extinguisher between the upper cabinet and the narrow cabinets by the toolbox. I also think you are going to want lighting in those bigger cabinets too ;)
Why not raise and mount the 2 shallow cabinets up to the ceiling side by side? And slide them forward to meet the other upper cabinets... Easier access and no interference with the front of the cars, and more floor space
One thing I would recommend for your trailer is a camera for backing up I put one of my RV about after six months of ownership I wish I have done that from the get go
awesom set up! one thing though, if you had left a gap between the two double stacked cabinets and mounted the bottom one flush with the floor, you could have extended the counter top space a bit and had a nice narrow section of counter, and had everything flow a little better
That negative space under the counter in the corner seems perfect for a compressor. You could do a switch and outputs/remote bleeder on the trim panel. [-8
I did equipment maintenance for many years. I highly recommend the closed cell foam with the silhouette cut outs for the tools. Makes it super easy to find what you are looking for, plus the tools can't get lost as the trailer rolls down the road. Super nice setup! I also would add under cabinet lighting (like your buddy suggested) over the tool box.
At this point, I'm more interested in shop/trailer/truck/home renovations than car content

Literally one step ahead of everything I plan to do. Last week I was picking out my cabinets on Midwestracecabinets.com and boom...a video is made
On this episode of Taylor and his obsession with the leaves lol
You don’t understand unless you have a massive trees outside your house lol
I do lol it just made me laugh how that was the opening screen cause he talks about them a bunch
Home owner things
I gave up and only ever sweep up the leaves when they prevent the jack from rolling
that's what he gets for picking his house based on the fact that there were quote so many cool trees, I just love trees, I don't know what it is but I just like trees, end quote
Love to see Blaster sponsor this video. This is awesome. Congrats T.Ray.
A Fire extinguisher would look great between the cabinet stacked on top of each other and the shelf mounted on the wall
“Especially if you live up north” hit hard lol before I even look at a bolt i have blaster in my hand, CNY problems lol
Same, Indiana problems
Same, Minnesota problems.
Moved from LI to NC. Work in shop doing brakes in a customer car, day 1.
“Where’s the anti-seize?”

Everything except the kitchen sink, literally. Looks fantastic. Soooo jealous.
Why do I need to watch every time Taylor does fab work. 😂it’s just so satisfying 🤣💯
There's nothing you won't tackle that's my favorite thing about you and your channel 💯👍
That space between the top cabinets would be perfect for a fire extinguisher mount

Josuanito randomly appearing gets me every time. Good friends can't be valued enough
19:51 that's a wasted "these are not going anywhere" opportunity.
I'm upset 😂
that means there gonna go somewhere
I mean it's a trailer, they are going to go somewhere eventually lol
It's kind of Ironic that this man works alone most of the time yet has 10s of thousands watch him do it...
Should’ve put the single closest to the door. Would solve that
I’d also put some led lights in the bottom corner cupboard, as it will shine some light on the stuff at the back, cheers
It opens a full 180 degrees so it really doesn't matter. I did it that way so it can be open and you can still get into the tool box.
@@Taylordrifts I think he is talking about the thin double stacked cabinets. May make more sense with the hinge toward the back of the trailer and the latch towards the front. O and turn them over so the doors open away from the workspace. That way the door can stay open and accessible from the workspace.
Taylor edits the snap perfectly it's so satisfying.
It’s amazing how big and small this trailer seems at the same time. Our shop pulls a 50 foot race trailer which is huge 🤣.
Favorite show before bed, trailer is going to be siiiick.
"For those of you that work on cars in the north"
Looks at case of PB Blaster on the shelf
Yup.
pretty much
It really annoys my OCD that the big upper cabinet has a gap between the slim cabinets rather than being pushed up tight to them.
Yeah would look so much better if they where all touchiny
Here to comment the same!!! Also, he now has to climb on the cabinets to get tires out of the front. Which, I guess isn't that big of a deal.
Yes touching and slims side by side %100
The stacked cabinets should have been mounted with the doors opening the other way. That way it can be mounted next to the base cab. The wall cab should be mounted next to the stacked cabinets. Just my input!!
Yes!!!! OCD level 10
