This bike is a complete masterpiece from Yamaha. I got a 2023 model from Europe and this runs like butter. It's an amazing machine, insane torque for a bike this size. This is probably the first bike that I will keep until it rusts in my retirement home in 50 years.

My dude, who is a dedicated liter bike fast boy swapped bikes with me for a few miles, my MT-07 and his built ZX-10R, my first liter bike experience. He rode my MT and I went mach 10 on his monstrous bike. When we finished I asked him what he thought and he had the biggest smile on his face and said, "I had a lot more FUN than I was expecting!" It's a great bike, no cap!

This would be the beginner bike that I recommend. It's large enough where you're not going to get bored with it. It's not overpowered to the degree where it is dangerous for a beginner. Riding ergonomics are excellent for visibility and ease of riding. And, it looks fantastic.
    Overall just a great all-rounder.

This bike is not a beginner bike. Its a fun bike for people who wanna play. Not a bike you wanna learn on. Second bike, definitely. Beginner?... It can be done but its not a beginner bike, Just like you can start on a BMW s1000rr and can learn on it, but its not a beginner bike.

Middle-aged noobie here. I'm 3 weeks into my first bike, 2023 MT07. There's plenty of power to grow into, yet it has plenty of low speed fun for a beginner. Low end torque can catch a new rider by rude surprise though in the absolute beginning, IMO. Otherwise. it's a blast :)

I just bought my 2022 MT-07 from a dealer in southern Wisconsin and drove it back home about 400 miles away and I can confirm that it can handle the freeways really well. You get obliterated by the wind but all in all it's a good bike that you need to change the stock seat to Yamaha's Comfort seat. I'd recommend making that change before any other mods to the bike.

I have a 2018 mt07 and I love the bike but I will say changing the rear sprocket from a 43 tooth down to a 40 tooth is definitely worth it! It still has plenty of power and torque but it lowers the rpm a little bit and now I get 62 to 63mpg all day everyday 😁

MT-07 It is so much value for your money its ridiculous. Bulletproof reliable, plenty of torque and holds its value. If you are considering to get one do not hesitate, you will absolutely love it.
Riding it hard in a twisties you will feel that suspension is a less sporty more comfy oriented. You have to be realistic and you just cannot expect to have premium suspension at this price tag. My dream bike would be MT-07 SP (premium version like they do with MT 09 SP). I would not mind to pay extra 2k for it.

I've never been into motorcycles in my 41 years on this planet. I'm a car guy. Lately I've been toying around with the idea of getting something. First thought was a Grom to screw around with. That quickly became an MT-03 due to it being actually usable. Which is now evolving into an MT-07. A one and done deal. I don't like cruiser/Harley type bikes at all. I don't care about track driving or an uncomfortable sport bike. I have cars for that. The MT-07 appears to check all the right boxes. I think it might be the one.

I spent months researching the right bike to have… I pulled trigger on a 2022 MT-07 and wow. It’s everything I need. So many “Yeses” and a very good price point for what you get. I’m 10 months into ownership and 4890 miles in and I’m not even close to bored. I’ve since ridden 6-7 other bikes (friends and dealerships) and I love coming back to my MT-07.

My 2015 Fz07(pre abs) is my 1st road bike that I have had for just over 4 years now and have over 45k miles on it with just basic oil changes and regular maintenance. So much aftermarket potential to really personalize this bike to your needs! Just did a 10 hour ride last week down to Phoenix and back up through the white mountains and it is a perfect all around ripper for just about anything you can throw at it without exceeding most riding situations. It never gets boring to ride 🍒 (Exhaust, K&N Air filter and ECU flash really wake up these bikes)🥳

Can’t quite flat foot it, but can get enough of both feet on the ground to feel completely stable. Just a recommendation, but definitely go to some dealerships and sit on as many different bikes as you can. You’ll know when you found the right one 😊

Deff its not a biginner bike!!!! Has a lot of power and if you don't know how to handle it can be to good for a starter! Manoeuvrability i can say its super easy. Also a bit more heavier than MT125 and MT03, which is obviously normal.

    • @trex1448

Even if you could, you should get a beginner bike to learn on. If you can't lift a 883 from the ground or cant stand on it with legs on ground like these guys you shouldnt get it even if youre not a beginner.

Its a shame you don't get the MT07 based Tracer 7 over there in the US, its a great bike, much lighter than the Tracer 9.
The Tracer 7 also gets better forks than the MT07

I'm kinda torn between this and the ZX4R (not the RR)
I was initially fully with the MT-07 and then one day I got to sit on an S1000RR, which was the first bike I have ever sat on in my life and it felt amazing, I have never wanted a sportbike/supersport more before, and a few days after that, we get the announcement that the ZX4R is launching here in India, so now I'm leaning more towards getting that.
If Papa Yam could help with this, I would be really grateful!

it really depends of what you want to do with the bike really, if you want some toy for the weekends having a good time on the twistys sure ZX4R but if you want do it all bike for daily driving and still having a really good time mt 07, the zx4r has the same amount of hp a bit less than the mt 07 but alot less torque, means for city driving and climb you really need to rev that thing while the mt 07 has instant torque in all gears, i´ve drove the ZX4R and i own an mt 07
