Acceptance, forgiveness, all those ideals that when in moments of desperation will nuclear jolt you to power level 15. Which is why sephiroth always loses… he never changes. Whereas cloud forgives himself and changes. Sephiroth is trying really hard to mess him up with this and make sure he is angry all the time so he becomes just like him.

I agree. Rosen's story is a sad parallel to Sephiroth's when you think about it. They are both around the same age. They both have a huge responsibility to the people they work for. Tragically, they both fall into despair upon learning a certain truth and losing their sense of identity.
Now I comprehend what the Producer said few months ago: Sephiroth loves Cloud most. Cloud is the one he wants to save, and Sephiroth is thinking a method in the Edge Of Creation. ~thank you for uploading the video❤
Sephiroth is thinking about this at the Edge of Creation because he just proposed Cloud to be the one beside him on his mission the way he did in Remake. He doesn't want for Cloud to disappear like all the people in the Lifestream ("nor I'll have you end") because what he's scared of the most is to lose himself and his identity (because when you go back to the Lifestream you fade and lose the identity or memories from your previous life). Cloud is the only person who can possibly share Sephiroth's fate as he's part of him and we know that as long as Cloud exists, Sephiroth will also always exist in him. Cloud is ironically the only one who can understand what Sephiroth went through and who can be beside him as long as Sephiroth exists, because everyone always saw him as a hero and no one could see his suffering through all the experiments. At the Edge of Creation he asked Cloud to join him because Sephiroth thinks that if he has to go down that path of dispair, he wants Cloud to go down with him. It's so crazy how Sephiroth keeps telling Cloud everywhere, especially in Advent Children, that he wants to give him dispair and wants to make him lose those whom he cherishes, but he's basically just projecting on him all of his own loneliness and despair instead. Even in Rebirth he enjoys to see Cloud suffer and to isolate him from the others, he keeps telling Cloud to use his hatred as a fuel the way Sephiroth did when he burned Nibelheim down... We can say Sephiroth sees himself in Cloud, but instead of going towards the dark path, Cloud could actually accept himself for who he was and could turn his hatred, insecurity and regrets, into strength drawn from the will to protect the planet and the people he loves instead. The reason why Cloud will always win against Sephiroth is because Sephiroth fuels his motivations with hatred, while Cloud finds his strength in love and in what/who he is determined to protect.
@@KWWGMK my post is a bit messy because I had a lot on my mind that I wanted to say about their dynamics, but there's so much that I could only type the most evident characteristics. I see a lot of hatred towards the characters in this game and most of it is because people either can't empathize with them, or they don't make the effort to actually get to know them and the lore. Especially with Cloud, there's a lot of mischaracterization, which is a pity, because there's so much humanity there and I relate a lot to some of his struggles. Same way you can relate to Sephiroth in some way despite he's a villain..
He's not a villain...Sakaguchi didn't writer him as a villain, but as and antagonist, which Is subtle Because Is not the same things....In Dissidia, when Sephiroth meets Kefka,Kefka tells him to do Something very bad to Cloud,to make him react and have a duel with Sephiroth, and when Sephiroth ask him why,Kefka answers that Is Just a great fun to see someone such as Cloud suffer...and Sephiroth answer back to Kefka "....disgusting..."....This Is the difference between and antagonist and a villain
@@federicamacchia1656 You know that Dissidia isn't canon to FF7 and that Sephiroth loves to see Cloud suffer, right? A villain is someone who harms people with malicious intent, Sephiroth does exactly that he even abuses Cloud and enjoys to see him at his feet in Rebirth, so I think your mindset is quite delusional. Some of you act like Sephiroth apologists, as if he wasn't one of the most evil and might I add disgusting even in his approach, villains ever. Antagonist is someone who puts obstacles in the hero's path, a villain is someone who's evil...Sephiroth is clearly both.
Which Sephiroth??Because THERE was the One Who was a really good persone, and there Is the One Who looses his mind and the control on his Life, and Is controlled by an alien entity that someone REALLY evil(Hojo and Shinra) decided to put in his DNA....Sephiroth didn't choose to becomes what he actually Is,and noone asked him if he wanted to...sinc e the beginning, always somebody else decided about his Life,he NEVER had really free Will. Thus Is what Sakaguchi, the original writer, wrote about him..And this Is not the picture of a villain
So this basically confirms that out of all the Sephiroths in the Remake and Rebirth, the EoC Sephiroth or Ore Sephiroth is confirmed to have his memories prior to his sanity intact. I have a running theory in my head that Remake Aerith and Ore Sephiroth are actually working together in the Remake because it was Aerith’s portal which took Cloud and Company to the EoC. Jenova Sephiroth is the one messing around while Ore Sephiroth is just confined in EoC and can’t move anywhere else. Jenova is the true villain, that’s why it was built up in the Temple of the Ancients. It was Jenova who caused all of the wars in the past between humans and Cetra. Humans killed Cetra because Jenova controlled them. The conversation in the Temple were Aerith’s voice morphed into that of the Cetra speaking to Jenova is symbolic for me. It is trying to make its way into the Lifestream to crrupt the Planet by using Sephiroth, the most powerful man, as its vessel. I think that’s how they are building this story now. The 7 seconds still remain a mystery but I am guessing that it’s going to be a decision for Cloud which involves Sephiroth.
If Aerith and Sephiroth were working together than why did Sephiroth fight her in the EOC at the end of Rebirth and tell her begone your part is played? Omni!Aerith as people say, has specifically said Sephiroth's way of saving the planet is wrong.
If we are going by the multiverse theory, there has got to be one universe where there exist Sephiroth who is a good person, not doing all the original FF mistakes and not getting infected by jenova cells.
@@holographicwingthats is part of the test if aerith has it takes to do the deal and she surpassed sephiroth's expectation that's why you can see sephiroth's expression after the fight with aerith and cloud that he is amazed.... Well we still don't know what was aerith and sephiroth's deal but the white feather that falls in the scene where zack survived in the remake was confirmed to be sephiroth's.... And yes we are dealing 2 sephiroths here one is jenova masquerading as sephiroth and the sephiroth in the edge of creation....
Also the urgency in his voice. He is literally BEGGING Rosen to come with them and have another chance at life. It hurt him so much to put him out of his misery because Rosen could not live with himself anymore.
In that Moment, probably Sephiroth sees in Rosen things that are inside him too...lonliness,sadness,the consciousness to be somehow isolated and vulnerable, not able to really find his place in the world.....Probably Sephiroth Is the only One Who can really understand why Rosen wants to end his Life....
Ok guys hear me out, after watching this and the EoC scene here's a theory I have in mind. According to OTWAS Case of the LIfestream Black, "...the man had already surrendered his inconsequential memories to the planet. Memories from when he was a boy, of his few friends, of the battles when he was still unaware, of his life in bygone days- all these became a part of the inundation, encased around Meteor, and finally receded." This inconsequential memories became Ore Sephiroth, hence why this Sephiroth is reminiscing about his past in the EoC, basically he is stuck there. Also, in the same novella, Jenovaroth made Cloud his core so he could basically dupe the LIfestream System, it says in Lifestream Black 1, "The man knew that if one could hold onto some core of their spirit, then one could remain a separate entity, independent from the planet’s system. Cloud. The man decided to make Cloud that core." Ore Sephiroth holds onto Cloud, a man with his S cells so he won't erode yet, Jenovaroth holds onto Cloud's hatred of Sephiroth so he won't erode. Similar to in the real world, where people say, you have to let go of deceased loved on so they can finally pass on? So in here, since Cloud is so full of spite against Sephiroth, Jenovaroth took advantage of that so he won't disappear, and because of the S cells, Jenovaroth can manipulate Cloud and his mind. Now, Ore Sephiroth also has a connection with Cloud through the S cells. Aerith fine tuned a portal which Jenovaroth created at the end of remake so Cloud and party can reach where the Arbiter of Fate is. Destroying it means the Natural order was destroyed, meaning the Point A to Point B aka Destiny is no longer in control. This open a whole lot of possibilities. Doing so, this allowed Remake Aerith to save Biggs. If you watched that part in the Rebirth when Biggs was telling how he got saved, white whispers was there - White Whispers = Aerith. So why Biggs? Biggs was a friend of Aerith according to the novel Traces of Two Pasts. Also, this allowed Ore Sephiroth to save Zack when he was getting killed, if you replay that Part where Zack was telling the story of how he survived that killing bullet. I'm pretty sure the whispers who saved him were Black whispers = Ore Sephiroth. Also Remake Aerith knows Jenovaroth will come after her, what with her changing things and creating branching timelines, so she's jumping from one timeline to another until Jenovaroth found her in the Church, but we're not sure if she really died there though since the scene was cut off. But I'm guessing she was able to jump to another timeline with the help of Ore Sephiroth. I'll explain how. So remember the Forgotten Capital scene? Where Cloud block Masamune and disarmed Sephiroth? Not sure if you noticed but that's the same block and disarm move showed by Ore Sephiroth during their battle at EoC. Sephiroth blocked Cloud and threw his weapon and what did he say? "7 seconds till the end, time enough for you, perhaps?" So if you now go back to the Forgotten Capital scene in Rebirth, Cloud was being controlled by Jenovaroth, but you will see a Lifestream helped Cloud broke free of the control. I'm guessing that Lifestream is Ore Sephiroth, enacting his moveset so Cloud could save Aerith because Ore Sephiroth needs Aerith alive for a reason. Doing this block, created another timeline where another Aerith became alive. I'm thinking Remake Aerith in the Church about to be killed by Jenovaroth switched places with the Rebirth Forgotten Capital Aerith. Now, during the final battle at Rebirth with Cloud and Aerith vs. Sephiroth, Aerith said "How can you want this Sephiroth? How can you want an eternity of loneliness?" Sephiroth replied, "Begone, your part is played." I think this Sephiroth is Ore, the one stuck in EoC, in between worlds. He said this to Aerith because he only needs her alive, at least 1 Aerith alive is enough, it doesn't matter who, to mee both Cloud and Aerith are just a means to Ore Sephiroth's end. He is choosing whose life he wants to save, I am guessing since he can see the future, it's either Genesis, Glenn, Lucia and Matt are the ones he would like to save. And if he wants to save them, for some reason he would need Aerith alive. I am going to bet that the First Soldier confrontation between Rosen and Sephiroth where Sephiroth was asked to choose, will parallel Sephiroth and Cloud in the end of FFVII where Cloud will be asked to choose. And unlike Sephiroth, Cloud will choose compassion, once Cloud lets his hatred go, Sephiroth's soul will be freed and his soul will be allowed to join the LIfestream. perhaps, Aerith can take him to the Lifestream similar to how she called Kadaj in the ending of AC.
The white feathers what do those mean? The ones where Cloud tries to save Aerith on that black tree thing and one Zack helps Cloud and there is one where Cloud is fighting Sephiroth’s will to slash her. Where are they coming from?
@@Skyset_angel I'm pretty sure they come from Sephiroth. In EC first soldier they keep depicting hero/human Sephiroth with white feathers. And it is very obvious in chapter 13 and chapter 14 that they come from him. So he probably had something to do with Zack surviving, maybe he saved him? Since we see a white feather when him and Cloud walk towards midgar. I think these feathers are there to hint that hero/human Sephiroth still exists. And so many people forget about this detail.
Thank you for uploading this lovely video. It touches me to tears and still crying, what a moment and to live with it for the rest of his life. I hope Square Enix will give Sephiroth a chance to finally live to be the true hero was, is, and will be. The friendship between him and Glenn are so sweet, pure true friendship despite differences.
Ive seen a lot of complaints about humanizing Sephiroth, and WHilst I agree its strange seeing him in Crisis Core essentially just doing his day job, I think here it works better as we directly see the type of "Hero" cloud looked up to and get a better impression of what persona created their pre nibelheim relationship. IE This feeds a lot more into the FF7 main plot (granted Crisis COre was never his story it was Zacks, I dont think it matters how strangely he fit, or didnt fit rather, into that story)
A big Japanese studio should make an anime center around Sephiroth's journey starting with when he was a child, to being a soldier, until the end. I am certain it will be a huge hit.
I am curious what could this mean since now we know Sephiroth is for some reason remembering events of Ever Crisis Season 1 during events of FF7 Remake events. What is going on in his head right at that moment and what thoughts is emerging as he remembers the moment when he began defining himself as a person due to events of First Soldier thanks to Glenn, Matt, and Lucia's influence and Rosen's final words to him.
The Edge of Creation could be in any 'time'. Its another world with its own unknown rules. The version of Sephiroth there may be even different from the antagonistic one(s) seen 90% of the time otherwise. All events of all worlds may have already 'happened' from his perspective.

The fact they're integrating the subsequent spin-offs into 7R's canon is just so damn cool. It really isn't a "redo" like a time loop as much as it is a sequel. Can't wait to play the whole series.
It's always funny how in Final Fantasy and other media all different kinds monsters just team up together with no problems whatsoever to attack a character/party, regardless of their species and level of sentience(if they have any at all). But I guess here it could be explained that these are trained Wutai monsters(though I doubt it).
I feel like he's trying to redeem himself, but he's probably doing it the wrong way. Like cloud says to cait heading to cosmo canyon: He's trying to save the planet but he's doing it the wrong way.
It could work because there's timeline split at remake. Heck we can even get the OG scrapped story with him and Aerith as a couple. Not the annoying Zack bullshit. Imagine if he learn all the compassion from Aerith instead of making new characters like Glenn etc. That would be an amazing story.
It will be nice if Square make this game or game thay flesh out Sephiroth for Ps5 or upcoming ps5 pro. Showcase Sephiroth's glory in highest dense pixel possible. Sephiroth character is more interesting than Zack and Cloud
Serious question. If the Sephiroth in the Edge Of Creation has his humanity intact and is a good guy why did he kill Aerith in the Beagle timeline? Could it be that he wanted Cloud to see the creation of a timeline where Aerith survived in order for him to realise the nature of the planets damage he is trying to fix? What if he wants to merge all realities back together in order to save the planet somehow from destruction due to said fracture?
@@Skyset_angel It didn't look the same imo. The sky was different, the 2 nebulas we saw in remake were not there. And the ground was all broken up into pieces.

Very astute. This is just how Sephiroth, Cloud, their connection and their differences are to be perceived imo. Great stuff.
I like tis theory
I F'IN KNEW IT!!!!
3:45 I loved the way they animated Sephiroth's eyes/face
I want to hug him so much இ௰இ
Also the urgency in his voice. He is literally BEGGING Rosen to come with them and have another chance at life. It hurt him so much to put him out of his misery because Rosen could not live with himself anymore.
@@EvelynL.1112 indeed! The voice acting was really good ❤🩹
In that Moment, probably Sephiroth sees in Rosen things that are inside him too...lonliness,sadness,the consciousness to be somehow isolated and vulnerable, not able to really find his place in the world.....Probably Sephiroth Is the only One Who can really understand why Rosen wants to end his Life....

😳WAIT A DAMN MINUTE-
He is Cloud's Itachi.
Oh...oh wait..., 😯
Cloud. The man decided to make Cloud that core."
Ore Sephiroth holds onto Cloud, a man with his S cells so he won't erode yet, Jenovaroth holds onto Cloud's hatred of Sephiroth so he won't erode.
I think youre onto something yet not quat correct just not shure what ore sephiroths plan is
Thank you for uploading this lovely video.
I predict we are going to see young Sephiroth in the final game
Like Kadaj in AC. Maaaaaan 😢
No we will see True Hero Sephiroth join Zack and Cloud to end Jenova's imprisonment and influence forever.
@@bigtatsuthen explain advent children
@@bigtatsuthats what am hoping for i need to see a redeemed sephiroth turned hero again
I hope it means he could redeem himself!
The Edge of Creation could be in any 'time'. Its another world with its own unknown rules. The version of Sephiroth there may be even different from the antagonistic one(s) seen 90% of the time otherwise. All events of all worlds may have already 'happened' from his perspective.
@@SwobyJ He is at the edge of creation. Literally a God with big G, only there witnessing and experiencing everything at the same time. It's literally Qaballah with him as the tree of life.

They only ever see or care about the hero, the SOLDIER, the weapon... not the man breaking inside.
This comment stabbed my heart lol
The fact they're integrating the subsequent spin-offs into 7R's canon is just so damn cool. It really isn't a "redo" like a time loop as much as it is a sequel. Can't wait to play the whole series.

So he has to die the same way he took out Rosen? Is that why he’s all like “not yet” to Cloud? 😭
You reminded me, when Cloud has a flashback in the temple and Cloud stabs Sephiroth there, Sephiroth use "ore" for this.
I hope the defeating sense changes.
Anyone else notice he looked a little nervous/apprehensive/shy when he went to greet his comrades? 😭
It's always funny how in Final Fantasy and other media all different kinds monsters just team up together with no problems whatsoever to attack a character/party, regardless of their species and level of sentience(if they have any at all).
But I guess here it could be explained that these are trained Wutai monsters(though I doubt it).
The Behemoth Pawn is a Wutaian war beast, at least.
I keep saying we need more Sephiroth and Ever Crisis is feeding us so well, I'm really starting to feel sorry for Sephiroth
Wait... are they trying to set up a redemption arc for him in Remake part 3? Because if yes, I am down as hell for it.😮
eww gross why do people want him to be redeemed? he's meant to be the ultimate evil in FF7
This was something I thought at the end of Remake, Sephiroth definitely seemed different this time around.
it wouldn't work considering the remake project is linking up to advent children, and we know how sephiroth is there.
That would be an amazing story.
absolutely crazy man i love them so much. every character has so much depth it’s truly insane.
I hope he find out who his real mother is.
It will be nice if Square make this game or game thay flesh out Sephiroth for Ps5 or upcoming ps5 pro. Showcase Sephiroth's glory in highest dense pixel possible. Sephiroth character is more interesting than Zack and Cloud
I wonder, if Seph at the edge of the creation has these memories while he's waiting Cloud to appear, or after his chat with him...🤔
Serious question.
Is that Sephiroth use "ore"?
