- Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution Review | One Of The Best SUV's Ever Built
The 1997 Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution is the epitome of gnarly 90s style. Built to demolish the grueling long-distance Dakar Rally, these rally-homologated SUVs are nothing short of a legend. A 276 horsepower naturally aspirated V6 is shielded by twin hood scoops, Torsen differentials are used in both the front and rear and long-travel independent suspension adorns every corner. Between the highly successful rally heritage and the undeniably attractive styling, there isn’t one un-cool thing about this SUV.

Had the pleasure of owning this masterpiece. But the GDi fuel pump blows quickly and hard to replace. Bought 6g74 1996 Pajero instead.

Oooohhhrghn I saw one on a Dutch aution website.... im in love and more so with every video i watch on it ❤ my very firet car at 18 was a 98 vitara ❤❤❤ and I'm still in love with the design. Ive had two discoverys and a big ass American suv (escalade) but still prefer the more sturdy and modest models like vitara and the Evo 🤩 its absolutely perfect for what i want! Compact small SUV able to do light farm work and pull a horse trailer 👌🙏

You don’t need the evo to enjoy a pajero, my 2.8 td lwb was amazing in every way and still the most capable off roarer I’ve ever driven

I think the folks who design the 4Runner have this car on their board at all times as a reminder of what has been proven to work.
Just watching this video it looks like the suspension banks like the KDSS on some 4Runners. Which I've been describing as handling like a boat on water.
