Diazepam is Valium. Works well for anxiety for a short time, but then you get dependent and develop tolerance and need more for it to be effective. As a guitarist who has played in nationally touring Rush and Pink Floyd tribute bands, the way that Ren can create music in all of these genres like he's spent his whole life focusing on that one style is quite frankly astounding. Demos Vol 2 is my favorite "era" of Ren's music. Kind of a cross between Peter Gabriel and Steven Wilson.
He was being "helped" by the pharmaceutical companies...until he wasn't. And not for the Lymes disease that was causing ALL his issues, including brain damage, but for continuing misdiagnosis. "Take another pill boy" indeed 😪

She said it's also one of the few drugs that you can't quite cold turkey because it can literally kill you from the withdrawals. The combination of both of those factors makes it really dangerous if it's misused.

Diazepam was popular in the 70s and I read a book my mom had read called "I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can" about a woman who was taking tons of prescribed Valium and her Dr (out of ignorance and not malice of course) told her to quit cold turkey and, not even drink a glass of wine. So she did that and was walking on the beach when she had a seizure and nearly died! Nowadays and for decades now Drs no better. You must ween yourself slowly from any of the drugs in the family "Benzodiazapine" or "Benzos" which all do roughly the same thing. Some use Xanax _only_ when they fly, or when a hurricane is headed for there City... situations that they fear. They can be useful or even lifesaving under the right circumstances but, as with most things moderation is key. Abusing any mind or mood altering substance can be detrimental to your health right? Alcohol is the worst because it's legal without a prescription so from driving drunk to killing yourself legally alcohol is the worst in my opinion. If used in moderation it's fine, healthy even. Alcohol misuse or abuse is different. Your Dr knows what their talking about. That's fortunate because my friend Joe often joke's (kind of) saying "Remember 50 % of all Drs graduated in the bottom half of their class" 🤣 Take care of yourself, and how open and honest is Ren right? He just lays it out there with such honesty and authenticity; he writes what he knows and, who knows your life better than you right? for anyone who is curious. diazapam is a benzo just like XANEX(Alprazolam) however much weaker. however in the UK Vallium (Diazapam) is the only one available XANEX is banned in the uk if you're even MORE curious. benzos affect your GABA receptors in a similar way to alcohol releasing serotinin. hense the use in Axniety attacks. get it. luquid courage. its booze in a pill to put it extremely simply.

Diazepam was a prescription given to him when he was getting mistreated. It wasn't a recreational drug.
