You and Ren are a match made in heaven, because there is something so innocent and joyous about you both, even though you’ve been through hard things.
And I love how much you sincerely love, admire, and appreciate “your brotha” Ren. There’s something about that boy that just inspires tenderness in us all, but I see people reacting to you in the same way.
Keep doin’ your thing man, your positive energy truly makes you stand out among the other reactors. ❤

that raspie sound in his voice is called ' fry ' in the game i believe , Ren uses it lots to good effect , he is the master of music .

he has referenced at least 2 jazz players in his music so far ( or more ) Django Reinhardt ( Hunger ) and Dizzie Gillespie ( Losing it ) are you Dizzie, are you dumb .. he loves all music and incorporates every one into his music , is why us oldies love him .

Something so great about Ren, is how he can write such incredible music and connect so deeply with us on the subject matter, that reactors will forget and skip over how awesome the song was and go right into their experience with the narrative. That is in my opinion the ultimate compliment to a songwriter. Great Reaction!!!

I feel this so much. I take 3 different medications for ADHD and depression. If they are working correctly I can truly feel great and “normal”. When I don’t have them or they aren’t working right I just feel frantic and scattered. I have a love hate relationship!!!

Diazepam = Valium, a benzodiazapine used for anxiety. Highly addictive and very difficult to quit once you have a tolerance.

    • @cherylb309
      @cherylb309 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Diazepam meant for short term use. Anxiety and depression usually go hand in hand. Benzodiazepines are to be avoided if you can, like Nick said to be used for emergencies.

I always love your Ren reaction. You so clearly love his voice and songs. Always give me the impression that you can’t help but want to sing. Plus it’s nice to see someone really appreciate his skills when it comes to singing. Especially since it seems to be forgotten a bit these days with all the rap tracks coming out. I don’t think anyone is in doubt that the man can rap rap, but sometimes we forget that he can SING too. I am not only super hyped for the release of Sick Boi but also the stuff he’s got in store for us next knowing that he is going back to more singing. Such a multitalented artist that it never gets boring.

Xanax is way way stronger than diazapam. Believe me. Many think diazapam is for depression, but it is for anxiety and to relax the muscles in the entire body. Thank you so much for your honest reaction. 👍

Benzodiazepine are a handful of psychological meditation. From Lorazepam to Valium all are addictive but it is the most prescribed. They can be prescribed for anything from anxiety to schizophrenia. My experience on lorazepam was horrible. Especially when trying to get off it. You have to ease yourself off of it. I didn't have the option to wing myself off of it. Horrible feeling. Be cautious about taking it. It makes a lot of people worse.

Valium is the brand name of diazepam, so it's not like valium, it IS valium. And yeah it's a benzo, more geared towards anxiety relief than being an anti-depressant

This song and chalk outlines made me start to taper off my anti-anxiety meds. I’d like to get it to emergency only, as well. “self-destructive healing, it’s one and the same” truth! I don’t fuck with my anti-depressants, but the anti anxiety has that cloudy chalk outline effect!! I’ve got it down .5 and going to work on going lower every month. But working closely with psychiatrist to do it!
Thanks for sharing your truth. You really are one of my favs ❤

The peace of mind that exists just having xanax available cannot be overstated. I'm fortunate enough that i have avoided panic attacks long enough that my xanax has expired, but if I didnt have that bottle available, I would have had panic attacks every single day. They're a security blanket for me, so I understand exactly what you mean.
It's amazing how even the instrumentation of this song reminds me of how benzos make you feel.

Medical intervention for depression/anxiety can be very helpful, but your fears aren't unfounded. I'd talk to your doctor about them and if getting off is a good choice, consider it, or if not, see if they will give you an extra month or two for emergency use. My dr's receptionist got confused and wouldn't refill my ssri prescription unless I came in while I was on the other side of the country dealing with my father's hospice. Not ideal. It's good to have a backup plan.

In the UK I would hear a Reggae/Jamaican influence in the vocals of this song, which you are perhaps hearing as Jazzy distortion... I'd not overstress that, it's an influence, no more. A fair few of Ren's vocals have such a flavour, which I'm not sure how many Americans are familiar with. It might be easy for you to miss Jamaican influences in some British music. You guys never really had Ska in the same way... You might find the subject of black influences in British music interesting, as it's an alternate history to your own.

What I love about this song that alot of people don't pick up on is how Diazepam makes you emotionally numb and mutes your feelings when you take it. So Ren knowing this played the guitar solo like it was on Diazepam. The tone is flat and muted, there's no color or warmth to it so it doesn't make you feel good or excited when you hear it.... It's just there existing.
