      @@Akac3sh I do what I can. Ive still got it but I just drive it back and forth to work. It’s lots of fun.
      I’d do more to it if I didn’t have other priorities at the moment.

    Dude keep up with the 3.7l content absolutely post more content about mods and such definently will watch more and thanks for the info!!

      I absolutely intend to. I’ve got four children and a wife so I have to keep my priority straight and provide for them first, but I intend to continue to do performance mods to my car that are budget friendly. Thanks for the comments.
      I don’t plan on making a living from this TH-cam channel but if I start getting enough subscribers I’ll probably end up giving more attention to it as a possible side source of income.

      @Preacher Dan do you recommend a cold air intake from American muscle?

    • @christopherkhlain3689

      So how does it work? After installing? Do you have to tube it or need a bigger cold air intake ?

    Installed this TB on my 16 mustang. It works great while you have your foot on the throttle but you can expect son rough idle and cold star. Im working with my tuner to get all the parameters smooth again

    My spacer is on its way, installing within the next 2 weeks and I’ll port the intake a little maybe so the openings match better. Thank you

    Auto Mafia Racing makes an aluminum adapter plate that is much nicer than the one 3D printed by Neil Foster.

    I’ve read that with the s550 v6 we should still use the 11-14 5.0 throttle body

    • @PreacherDan
      @PreacherDan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s not the info that I has received.
      S550s don’t have a mass air flow sensor. They use map sensor in the intake. Therefore, you’ll need an S550 5.0 TB to put on a s550 v6…. So I’ve been told.

    Could you put a 5.0 air intake on after the throttle body and have everything work right?

    to me i find it hard to believe this will make a difference because the adapter is smaller then the 80mm throttle body. but thats just me

    • @PreacherDan
      @PreacherDan  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct. The adapter is sized at 76 mm to match the factory throttlebody opening on the intake. However the factory throttlebody is a 67 mm and diameter. So you’re not getting a full 80 mm of flow at wide open throttle. But you are getting a full 76 mm which is a 9 mm diameter increase.

    • @maker7901
      @maker7901 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @PreacherDan makes sense so which means I'll still get a performance increase over the 67mm and will be cheaper then the bbk. Unless the opening on the manifold is the same size as the 67mm

    • @PreacherDan
      @PreacherDan  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@maker7901 well,… kinda. I think I feel a quicker throttle response compared to factory but it probably maxes out HP and torque at the same place.

    • @maker7901
      @maker7901 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @PreacherDan alright I will probably get one. However if the manifold side is smaller which I will have to measure the diameter to see if it's going to improve flow.

    Do you think a cold at intake will fit on a v6 ..to match the 5.0 throttle body

    • @PreacherDan
      @PreacherDan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had to heat and stretch the factory coupler to get it to fit. I’d say you could purchase a larger silicone coupler and adapt it to the v6 aftermarket intake if you want.

    Certainly a cheap mod but without honest before and after dyno testing by an independent shop, I won't be convinced there is a measurable gain on an otherwise stock 3.7 with just a larger 5.0 or BBK throttle body.
