You need to port your upper and lower intake in order to really see those gains. It’s easy to do yourself honestly, and then the bbk throttle body will definitely show through with noticeable gains.
This really makes a difference when you have a cold air intake, good headers, highflow cat pipes and high flow mufflers all working together with a professional tune. Get a good tune and you will notice some good gains. Its a good piece. All in all you are looking 3.5K to 5K for it all to get done if you do the install yourself, but it is worth it in the end imo. Besides, if you are planning on a low boost turbo setup later, this is definitely worth it for regulating flow.

My 2012 v6 is losing power when I go uphill. The rpm also surges to 2500 when it is idling. This happens sometimes. Car has 170,000 kms on it. Please guide me.
maintenance bro. Clean the MAF sensor with CNC brand cleaner and definitely remove and clean the throttle body with same brand TB cleaner. They get crap built up and can get a ridge around the butterfly valve. Wipe that down then see how she goes. those are the easiest things to do. Of course also make sure your air filter is good and all that too. Check for any codes if still cranky on the acceleration. Note: if your throttle body is very dirty don't scrub it with anything, just use CNC and a rag because they have a coating and if you wear that down it will get dirty very fast after that
Hi Mike I also have a Stang V6 2013 where I installed the BBK throttle body 73mm but I have a problem with too much air entering and the car does not run well because I should adjust the petrol injectors, the problem is that in Italy there is no they are competent workshops to do this job, could you help me? greetings and good luck

I also installed the BBK 73 mm throttle body on my Stang v6 3.7 but I have air pockets in the sense that the air comes in now and cannot compensate with the incoming gasoline so I have the "hiccup" effect. Maybe better to remap the ECU? you did the ECU mapping ?? can you help me ?? 🙏🙏🙏
I did the 5.0 throttle body swap. It requires and adapter but it's much cheaper if you can find a low mileage one at the salvage yard. I will agree that there is not a noticable power gain.
Why people always think if they replays bigger trouttle body, cai and more other than car will get more hp?! No, it’s not! If you replace bigger trouttle body that means more air))) more in but not out))) this is not correct operation in your car, for more hp you need to do at least reprogramming your ecm)) with every singe update in your car) other way you will get nothing)))
Bro...i think its safe to assume that if you retune you will get better results, the reason is, the air fuel ratio..call mestupid and maybe i am but you adding alot more air than fuel....duh

Do your Roush Axle Backs drone at highway speeds like 65-75 or is it quiet?

Did you notice any sound differences as well?
I didn't notice a change in the sound, but it did improve throttle response. Some people say it can cause a whistle but I didn't experience that.
