Yes finally been looking for a vid like this just purchased the MPT full tune kit where it comes with the sct tuner and the tunes with it and seeing this video got me more excited idk if you heard of callmematt but damn you both and 3sevenstangs are awesome at giving comparisons and the actual truth to this MPT tune 🤘🏽
Yeah that is something with the stupid transmission- it has done that since the day I bought it completely stock and I have seen other videos where it does the exact same thing. If you watch the tach, it kicks back 100 rpm where you mention then continues, or watch the speedo and see that it doesn't slow at all. Thus, I'm assuming it has something to do with the torque converter. But why Ford engineered it to do this, I don't know. I sure wish someone could answer this, because it drives me crazy...
@@BuckeyeBallistics Yep, it's the torque converter clutch locking up. Exactly when it does this depends on throttle position and vehicle speed, but every time you're at WOT it will always lockup at the exact same speed. Some newer transmissions will lock the converter clutch at the same time as a shift is occuring so it's hard to tell it's happening, especially under full throttle. However Ford did like to lock the converter clutches in their transmissions slowly for awhile, like in the 5r55e/s/w, it felt like a slow, slipping shift. At least that's not the case with the 6r in these Mustangs, at least the tcc locks up pretty quickly.
This is a great comparison video. You can hear the power difference on the 93 tune as tires break some traction on second gear. I just got a 14 V6 and on hard hard acceleration couldn't figure this weird power drop when shifting. Everything I have read about these stangs it is normal. Seems like some messed up engineering by Ford. I have a 12 Acura TL and that 3.5 @280hp is solid all the way through the gears but the Stang is more fun to drive so I will live with it.

what year is the stock v6 i’m thinking abt getting a 15-17 v6 or 4cyl. I love both of them and they both fit my criteria but i do kind of want the tires to squeal a bit on a hard pull from 0 just for fun you know do you reckon a old gen s550 v6 would get the power to get the tires to squeal while bone stock and if not would a 4cyl do you think?
It's the same car in both clips, just before and after- a 2014. Tires are gonna play a huge roll in whether or not it will spin like crazy from 0, as does road temperature. When I first got it it was cold out and would fry the tires all the way through 1st gear. Then once it warmed up outside, no more tire spin (warmer road= more traction). Then I put lower 3.73 gears in it and it would spin them all the way through first gear again when it was warm out beacause first gear was now shorter. But then I got better tires and it stopped spinning again lol. So whether it will do it or not will be a combination of the outside temp, the rear end gear ratio, and your tires... provided we are talking about an automatic transmission. If it's a stick, none of that will matter because you can just dump the clutch to fry the tires...
Can someone tell me what’s problem with slow gear shift on this mustang? Sometimes trying to quick accelerate and it’s like confusing and slow shifting down, causing hesitance.
With the gas ⛽️ prices on this days the smartest option is just the stock engine, you can drive a nice car and make it to work without make a hole 🕳️ on your pocket

But definately worth a try and a good idea to do them at least every once and a while (I have 2), because you will reach new people that way. And lasty, once monetized (if you care to do such), you don't earn anything from shorts- at least not currently. I have one with 8,000 views and haven't earned a cent from it. If your channel is just for fun, then I apologize because none of this would matter to you. But I'm personally trying to make a career of it, and it's actually been my only job for the past 18 months. Barely pays the bills, but I'm enjoying my *freedom*
Over the 3.73's I mentioned that I installed? With sticky enough tires, 0-60 would be a decent difference- otherwise you would just spin like crazy. After that, a subtle difference. If I was building a drag car with sticky tires I would have went with 4.10's...
What do you drive? This is a highly customizable, valuable vehicle with enormous potential. And even stock, it is is still substantially quicker than most commuter vehicles on the road. You should stick to buying stock powerful vehicles and let the adults enjoy things.

It’s the torque converter locking up, every automatic transmission does something like this (unless it’s a dual clutch)

I love the 3.7 cyclone motors. Have a 3.7 mustang and 3.7 f150 both the same motors non turbo.

You need a handheld tuner like the SCT X4 I used to removed the speed governor to go faster

Yes, the driveshaft can break. I replaced mine with a $900 upgraded driveshaft that won't break...
