Hammond really knows how to tell a story, great podcast gents
agreed, his background in radio shows so well
Multiple decades in broadcasting innit.
still wanna watch the full videos of these podcasts
I agree. The only podcast I subscribe to currently is the smoking tire podcast, but I think it's so much better to put it on a side screen while working rather than just listen.
Everyone kind of just watches post casts nowadays aswell we need that
He puts them on Spotify
They explain why on their podcast. This is getting boring to see
@@louissanderson719well why then
Richard Hammond going through some of the old Top gear episodes, is a reminder how good it used to be and when these three left, it just never recovered. When Botswana was mentioned, all I remember is OLIVERRRRRR!!!!!
He took Oliver home and fully restored it as I remember...and always got roasted by Jeremy and James for naming his cars as well! :D
That special had one of my all-time favorite lines from Top Gear. Clarkson flips his bonnet up on the windshield of his Range Rover, and peers through the cooling vents he cut as his only method of seeing the road.
"The scope of my engineering genius literally knows no bounds."
Richard is such a professional. I start to look at all he does online as an art.
“If I were a girl I’d be pregnant a lot” - my wife’s favorite joke from all the Top Gear I managed to make her watch
Please upload the full podcast videos, video suits this podcast so much more than audio 🙏
hammond actually feels like a good friend rather than TV star or automotive journalist
Didn’t think I needed ANOTHER podcast but this one’s slowly becoming a household favourite
I could sit and listen to Richard or any of the trio talk about the specials, giving us a bit of behind the scenes to them
Me too, but there would be limit on how much Clarkson I'd want to listen to.
We have Brown Recluses in the Southern US. They're not only big but aggressive. I had one CHARGE me. Finally smashed it but it took years off my life.
4:45 the way Hammond signals Alex to stop it with the schoolboy jokes is so gentlemanly. Alex should know better and treat his guests with more respect
Alex doesn't seem to know how to read the guest. Richard is not the guy you see on camera outside of it. Not to say he's a douchebag, but he's more reserved and less of a joker.
with you on that… the incessant immaturity with Taylor & Rory is definitely something I put up with, rather than value
@@BrunodeSouzaLino Met hammond at goodwood a few years back, actually true, really nice guy was talking to him about formula e for ages.
Love how Hammond tell his stories about the adventures of the trio 😊
Why dont you post all the podcast here? If you record them in video too? I love to see them in full not just clips
yeah would be brilliant to watch along rather than listening
what i been saying from day 1
The engagement per minute of podcasts on YT is much lower and YT uses that metric to give visibility to a channel, so if some videos don't do as well the others eventually will drop in reach
And uploading only the most interesting bits on YT is bringing content to those who can't listen to whole podcasts, and have no time to look for that particular section.
Notice that with the amount of content of a 30min Top Gear challenge you could make 8 videos with YT pace of narration
@@hexgraphicaseperate channel solves it
He's always thrown in the worst possible scenarios when doing anything Top Gear / The Grand Tour... though lately James May has been getting that honor. Richard is a legend!
I love auto alex's questions. And I love hearing about these extra super interesting things like a personal 'toughest challenge' and things that couldn't get onto the final show. Great video!
Thank you for continuing to do these!! I’m your age basically and the fact that you’re still doing them keeps me young!! Keep it going gents
Can you upload the full vids? Prefer watching these, rather than listening to them on the go
I love Hammond getting involved in social media. Drivetribe, Autoalex, Mat Armstrong. He loves to chat about all things Top-Gear, Grand Tour, car related.
One of the things which really set him off as a cut above the rest was when he interviewed Jimmy Broadbent and started the interview by saying he knew absolutely nothing about Jimmy's world but wanted to learn about it.
I’m surprised he didn’t say nearly being stoned to death in Argentina 😂
Cracking podcast guys 👍🏼👍🏼 keep up the great work
Love the Podcast videos. Should record them all and put the here on 2nd Channel!!! Love
Is there a video version of the poscast out yet ?
I had an "injury lawyers for you" advert before this video, seems appropriate with the guest...
Ah, fantastic. A bringing together of my favourite people... and Rory. 😉
The proper Top gear with the proper trio will forever be a TV icon.
It's nice to see you having anatter with him Alex as to be honest I see your channel as the modern evolution of the TV show.
Passionate car enthusiast hosts, just having good times. And bad 😅
Would be wicked to have Richard join you on a big roadtrip, "to show you how it's done" 😅
I LIVED those specials. Made my childhood. The Hamster was always my #1.
Another request for the full video podcast please guys! Just checked spotify to find it's audio only.
The Bolivia challenge is the best i still remember it as i seen it yesterday first time . Watched it many times after that loved da cruiser. And love the podcasts
Love the hilux polar one and baby Jesus one 😅 2
Where can we watch the full video
Cant wait to hear the full podcast.
It's already out on Spotify matey boy
@@mrracecar3692 most english reply i've seen in a while haha, can spot us a mile off
"I was afraid I'd have to put off my trip to the north pole because of my drag racing accident" is the biggest humblebrag I've ever heard
Baller shit
Please put the full video up or tell us where it can be found
Bolivia Special always stays in my heart. It's the Best of what these Guys did.
the way you’re sat for this really doesn’t open up everyone to speak
Love the way Hammond is bringing the new guys up.
The audioboom just links to an audio version which would be fine if this was 2007... is there a full video version anywhere?
Is there a full video version of this coming?
Wow a year ago you ventured out on your own. Now you’re interviewing Richard Hammond. 👏
The Bolivia to Peru's Atacama Desert is my favorite special. I stole a line from it. I like to say, "Insects! Millions of them!" to people who just moved to Florida when the cicadas begin to sing. And then I run away.
Please upload the full postcasts to TH-cam! :) All the other podcasts I listen to are on here, this is the only one that isn't, so I just end up watching the clips.
Excellent! But where is the rest???
Where can we get the full video for this
Seeing the trio blend with CT is the crossover we needed
podcasting 2.0 will lead this into the future, chapters and stuff be so cool
I’m a simple man, I see an AutoAlex notification, I click.
Where can I watch the full podcast?
Please please please put the full podcasts on TH-cam
I've been a loyal follower of these guys whichever network theyv been on and Bolivia always felt like they had pushed the envelope just that bit far. That scene where Hammond looks genuinely terrified of the jungle. And the cars were more broken than usual.
could we get a video version of the podcast too
i would think the death road part of that trip would have been scarier or driving across the bamboo bridge in burma special with a big truck, though i figure they probably had some i beams hidden for the last part where they drove the trucks across.
i have to say my favourite special was the afirca special, and id love to know what happened to the campercars
You can tell Hammond used to do radio. Excellent
Bolivia is by far my all time favourite special
How much of a complete go getter and fearless individual Hammond is totally understated.
And now I’m listening to your podcast
I would have guessed that those gentle swells and nippy breeze he got in the south chinese sea was a no brainer (The Grand Tour)
Thanks Hammond star guest 🎉
Bolivia and Chile/Argentina are my favorite..
Before i watch this, I going to guess it was the race to the North Pole. I actually felt bad for Hammond on that one. What a fantastic special that was.
Watch a legend Hammond is.
Upload the full thing please. You still upload the individual clips then uploaf the full. I dont want to keep breaking the pace waiting for the conversation to continue
The way Alex said ok 😏 ok 😉 was so dodgy 😅 haha
I was thinking it would be when he was on that mountain in the snow with nothing but a watch to rescue him. He looked really really angry
Bolivia was a great episode. The African episodes where Richard had a Subaru was also great. The hunt for the top of the Nile was also great. Argentina was scary and caused me to never want to visit there.
i'M STILL NOT LOOKING FOR THE PODCAST. PUT IT ON YT
stop interrupting your guests while they're telling the stories. you're adding nothing. wait till they finish that segment of the story then ask about something else
Hammond developed a vacant stare in the Polar Special, where you could see he was losing the will to live.
They could release all footage of those trips without any edit and I would watch it
Suprised the most sketch wasn't the south america one where the Argentinians were trying to kill them over Jeremy's number plate
Surprised he didn't mention the Vancouver one where he was stuck on a mountain
It makes me so sad that after the next 2 grand tour specials, thats it, no more, they are stopping. I get they are getting on a bit and it’s become really hard work, makes perfect sense, but I feel like I am losing a major thing in my life that I look forward to and has been there for a very, very long time. I always get this little boy giddy excitement when I know one is coming. It was a proper escape from life.
I think it was a good idea for them to stop. Everything must end at some point. It's best for them to end it right now and still do things together eventually, but it was a warning when Clarkson, May and Hammond started their own businesses with Richard selling quite a bunch of his own cars to finance his venture. Even though they're starting to enter their 60s, their age is starting to show.
God I miss classic Top Gear. Hammond's radio days show he's such a good story teller.
That's main channel content.
tonight on top gear we try to find the real north west passage
The Legendary Ham-ster
Hey, Hammo, du the SOUTH pole next time. :)
I would've thought Argentina would've been a pain in the backside for him, either way great vid!
“It was more, Bait?” 😂
Did I missed 3 podcast episodes? I thought the last one was the Nurburgring trip one, and that this one is the next episode. I did not get any notifications about all the other ones...
They release them weekly, they're up to week 8 on Spotify / apple music
@@mrracecar3692 I listen them on Аmаzоn music, but get no notifications. Also, on YT they release short clips from the last podcasts, and the previous one was from the Nurburgring drive one, so I had no idea that there where a few new ones available...
Videos, please. I enjoy watching something. I can't just listen because I lose concentration 😂
Love Hammond 👍
Does the full podcast not have video!?
The full podcast is just audio
I see, I was hoping for a Joe Rogan Scenario, but dont worry Alex, i'll survive @@AK.2425
"I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE!!!!!" - Jeremy Clarkson
You should have the interviewee on one side, he has to choose where to look insted of just glancing over.
AutoAlex Arctic Challenge feat. Richard Hammond......?
What a pure lejend is Richard Hammond
he's a top lad
Certified even.@@mrracecar3692
So jealous. I love him
You know Hamster was hammered on 90% of the shoots, he barely remembers anything.
Richard has a voice of someone who would read children's books on Spotify
Bro has my budget for a podcast
him saying hed love to more arctic stuff beggs me to think theres more to do for the grand tour
I'm surprised it wasn't Argentina
I get "altitude sickness" when I do coke.
The Brown Recluse story doesn't quite add up, either Hammond isn't recalling it right, or the Dr. that told him it was a BR doesn't know what he's talking about. First of all, the rainforest isn't the kind of climate for the brown recluse. It's possible. But extremely unlikely. Second, they are not the size of your hand, a brown recluse, maximum, 6mm-20mm.
Now, possible spiders he could be talking about are tarantulas based off his given size description, or a Brazilian Wondering Spider based off his accurate rotting flesh description.
Frankly surprised he actually remembers any of it.
Please...someone buy Rory a mic stand
A spider the size of your hand that can cause your flesh to rot?!! There is not enough money in the world that would have enticed me to get back in that car, especially in the dark!😮😮
Just looked up the brown recluse, seems Hammond totally over exaggerated it lol. He is just scared of bugs
I notice no one mentioned the condoms they ha as well.
Honestly would love to see a Grand Tour with Alex using shitbox cars.
