Coming from a background in Photoshop and Freehand, and trying to pick things up as I go along.. Thank you so much - I learned a lot more than what I expected and love your teaching style. But help! When I drew my path for the Type on Path Tool, it was not red, but blue or grey. Does the color indicate a setting I don't have? When I set the Type on a Path tool on the path, the letters appeared in the white circle instead of on the path. What did I do wrong? Thanks for whatever help you can give me!
Illustrator’s default color setting for layer 1 is blue.
Meaning, when you start a new document, all the paths will be in this color.
If you like, you can change it in the “Layers” panel. Here is a tutorial on how to do it th-cam.com/video/aOj66oJLX88/w-d-xo.html
As far as the other question, try to set the “baseline shift” in the “Character” panel to a higher number.

Kool, Now I have a question. If I put another design inside of the center circle say Like a Triangle for example how do I change the color inside of that?
If you want to change the color of your triangle, first select the triangle and then change the fill to whatever color you like.
If you would like your small circle to be a different color just change its fill to the desired color.
If you want your small circle to be transparent, select both circles 0:45 go to pathfinder and choose “minus front". This will delete the inside of those two circles. I hope this helps.
Your technique is excellent. I had a very difficult time understanding the narration, however. "Select the Artboard Tool" sounded like "Suurk the Achboat Too." I had to play it over and over to figure out what was being said, finding "Artboard Tool" in the application and assuming the rest. Again, excellent video!

I am using adobe cs6 but i have not been able to make the center snap operate. I noticed that when your cursos moves near the center of the artwork it displays a small "center" text. mine does not. Any suggestion? [27 seconds in the video]
David Hermosilla Go to View from the top menu, and make sure the "Smart Guides" are selected (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctr+U). Hope this will help.
