Thanks for all the feedback on the multi-cam shots! My first time trying this properly and may have got a bit carried away 😂
The rectangle behind text is very useful. Here's an issue: I wanted to make it a graphic style, but despite choosing “relative” in the “convert to shape” box, the “extra width” and “extra height” values are absolute. So despite the font size, it'll always size the box with the initial values. Is there a non-scripting way around this?
yeah it was a bit distracting 😁 but great illustrator tips as always!
I'm speechless.
Working about eight years with Illustrator and this feels like I just started twelve minutes ago.
I will send you a "Super Thanks" later! So valuable!
Thank you!!!
I appreciate the Super Thanks, and so pleased that you enjoyed the video 😊
Love the step blending, and automatically turning them into swatches.
That Glyph tool trick is mind-blowing!
Please never stop making videos. They are absolutely wonderful and you are one of my favorite TH-camrs EVER. Thank you for awesome content 🖤

Been using Illustrator regularly for about 11 years now - there's always something to learn
Fantastic and informative video
just started using illustrator and this was a life-saver- thank you!
Amazing techniques. There are so many tools in Illustrator that I never use or else I use them incorrectly. I suppose it’s a matter of using these regularly in order to memorise them. Another great video Dan.
Thanks, glad it was helpful! 👍 Yea I think some of it is just repetition, although sometimes I forget tools and techniques that I don't use often, and end up watching my own tutorials again 😅
These tricks are time saving. thx
This is awesome! Love the presenation, visuals, sounds and the setup ♥♥
Thanks so much! 😃
This is awesome tutorial, many thanks for this!!
Genius on the addition of colours to the swatch panel especially when dealing with skin tones.

I love this video, so many helpful information ❤
Awesome! 😊
Superb video Dan! I'm gonna have a field day with those smoother lines and Isometrics text tips. 😁
Love new format. But I'd say cutting between the two cameras can feel a bit harsh sometimes. 👀
Awesome, thank you Dilshin, this is really helpful to know! I'll try and be a bit less camera crazy next time 😅
LOVE YOU BRO GOD BLESS YOU
This is just ridiculously useful
This (taking a long storytelling show and condensing it into a tight, TV-friendly couple minutes while still feeling like Randy's usual show) is impressive. That's gotta be much much harder than it seems.
Awesome tips! Loved seeing you tinker with the appearance of text in the live. Fluffy McWuffywuffwuff is such an unappreciated colour we must use it more as designers.
Yes it's definitely under appreciated! 😅 Aha yea, there's actually quite a few ways to keep everything live and fully editable, whereas in the past I would have just converted the text to outlines!
Likewise @@ForeverDansky! I'm so guilty of converting text to outlines. Trying to force myself out of that habit seeing the live. Through the little tasks I've done it's saved so much time, effort and hassle...
Makes me face palm thinking why didn't I do this before
I wish I could like this video a hundred times
You are the best dansky
LOL at the name of the colors! Very good tips, bro. Thank you.

Dansky, you definitely drop bangerz man. I seldom even use Illustrator (mainly a PhotoShop and Figma guy), but these videos make me want to use it way more. Way more. I can see these tips elevating my game substantially.
I appreciate that, so great to hear! Thank you 😊
im from iran and i want to say thank you :)
Fluffy McWuffywuffwuff.. lol
Awesome tutorial..
I definitely learnt a lot
That your disappearance at the end tho’ 🔥
Fluffy McWuff definitely needs a full colour palette now! 😂
Thank you!
Hey thank you so much!! 😍
Excelent Dansky. Have a good weekend.
Thanks Roger, you too! 🙂
I subscribed for the fluffy mcwuffywuffwuff!!! I wasn't expecting to learn anything new but I sure did!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
buddy you are a blessing for the beginners like me....Thanks a lot and love you
My pleasure Kami, thank you 🙂👊
great job on using the 3D extrude and setting the depth to zero. The 3D Rotate (classic) which sounds like proper tool to do so have terrible results if you want to expand the appearance of that!
It was perfect
Cheers, glad it helped!
You is a legend
Thank you 😎👊
Flafy waf waf 😂 , thanks bro
Haha… was the first thing that came to mind 😅
That "Fluffy McWuffywuffwuff" is killing me :) BTW great job, as always :)
Haha, first thing that came into my head 😂
I don’t know why apple’s affinity designer can’t do half of this. Ridiculous. Great video
Your videos are the best
Cheers!
Greate tutorial
Thank you!
OK legendary would imply "of the ages" but it sounds more like you guys just figured out the text effects. That said, this is huge! Great vid, learned a lot
Thanks!
You're welcome 😊
@@ForeverDansky Thanks for the reply. I'm a retired adman. The ideas part, we had departments doing mac work so I never needed to learn it. In c1990 we had 20 art directors sharing one mac. Once I retired I had time to learn, it's been fun. Now I'm learning to draw and paint (digitally) again, we had others to do that part. I'm also learning to edit film (also fun with DV) having spent a career making TV commercials.
The file handling tip. Thaaaanks😅
Happy to help! 😁
Thật tuyệt vời, cảm ơn dansky
i like the tips here
Great! :)
You are the best 👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks it really worked thanks alot man appreciated
Glad I could help 😀
@@ForeverDansky sorry to tell you, but im afraid someone got into my account. I definitely didnt see your content and i definitely didnt comment that. but that doesnt mean that ur content is bad
Video on making the cup please!
It’s incredible that I’ve been using Illustrator for longer than a decade and I’ve never consider using half of these tools. This was very useful. Thank you
That finger snap outro is awesome 😎
Goddamn these are ALL absolutely killer tips
Cheers Phil! Glad they were helpful 😁
amazing video
Thanks!
nice tricks
Great video. For the puppet warp trick, why even bother in the first place? Just draw a line, expand the stroke, use handles to modify it and expand etc etc.
Expanding the stroke means you have the modify the path on both sides. Getting the curve looking right using the Puppet Warp trick takes care of both sides at the same time, so once you're happy and select Expand, the curve is already perfect. Depending on the design, it can also be easier to bend and sculpt a smooth curve, which may be especially helpful for beginners 👍
@@ForeverDansky sorry, i meant draw a line, then expand it when you're happy with it. But it's still an interesting tip. Cheers.
Thanks
Hey thank you so much, really appreciate the support! 😍
Very useful
Glad to hear that thank you 😊
dude knows his thing
😎👊
Hi. could you please explain the way you are adding multiple fills to the text. I don't know how that works
I helped!
Yes! You saved us all Mark! 👏😅
Hahaha, you had me at “looks as good as a shit covered ice cream!” 😂😂😂
Great video!
Haha ooops... forgot I even said that! 😅🍦
very good
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing
Thanks!
OMG OMG OMG
👏👏👏
