Heck of a job in front of you. Can’t wait to see it. I had a pair by that same company . I had a 629 classic that had a round butt , they had the classic grips that converted it to square. They were a good quality.
@@Waxmax The grips you fitted on are not coke bottle grips, those are target grips, Cokes have a more oval profile and are actually smaller than the Target grips that replaced them. Another giveaway in telling the difference between N frame diamond targets and N frame diamond 'cokes' is the larger checkered area of the cokes. The overall size is essentially the same. The amount of extra palm swell varies.
Hi, Can't you use rechargeable 8g or maybe 12g sparklet ? Maybe you will get more space ? Like this, the sparklet will not need to move A hole in the wood grip to reload the sparklet
Hmm. If you shorten the grip you might be able to use the 8 gram CO2 canisters. How about cutting the bottom of the plastic grips and glue the to wood grip? Not sure how good it will look 🤔. Good luck whatever you choose😃👍
Thanks for your message Rune. Yes this a bit perplexing! I did the video today as received the grips only yesterday. I have now cut the piece from old damaged gun and it does fit. I’m now thinking about seeing if I can get this welded in place. But then I’m wondering if the heat will damage the chrome plating. I have many ideas running through my head right now. I have carved out one side of the new grip apart from the very bottom until I decide on what option I will choose. I did think about smaller co2. I’ve been working on it all day so I’m taking a break and will sleep on it and look again with fresh eyes and mind tomorrow. Definitely won’t be using any part of plastic grip though. I like a challenge but this one really is a challenge!!
@@Waxmax Just be careful with using any sort of heat on the gun. I think its made of potmetal/zink and will melt at only 420 C. Maybe soldering is an option. Not sure 🤔. Good luck with the mod😃👍
Amazing!! Can’t wait to see it on your video. I do miss your replica airgun videos. I’m also toying with the idea of buying the 8 inch one. There is a company here in uk selling new for £130. As I already have the old useable parts from my black/blued one, I would have the option to swop the barrels over from a new 8 inch to my existing 6.5 inch. I just love this model. Always have.
@@Waxmax Thanks my friend. They didnt have the 8 inch in BB or pellet. Only in 6mm airsoft. Iam looking forward to use it. Maybe powertune it like you have done. Hope you post more videos soon also😃. Greetings from Norway😃
Hello again. Every time I watch a video of yours, I love this channel more. All your thoughts shown here, are mine, as I will someday buy the same replicas and/or others, and I want to change their grips, of these very models, and others I do not own yet, but I have seen on videos here, and photos on the sites. Now: rechrome this material, well I do not know, my friend... Ask those that know non-ferrous "metals", like zamac. 😮 I know that now they chrome these sort of metals and even plastics, like these we see here. ( I am not teaching you anything, as I can not, and you know away much more). I love building and creating things. I love D.I.Y.,and modeling diverse toys and dioramas. And above all, I love replica guns. How I'd love to own the Japanese ones ❤❤. 1000 Thanks for this video!!
Bless you. Thank you for your kind words. I have lots to think about that for sure. Might upload a shorts video tomorrow with a small update on progress so far.

Yup it sure will be! Did you have the same issue?
Good work bro. Whish you a good luck.
Thanks. I think I need the luck!!
had you ever think about doing some holes and putting magnets on it?
Thanks for your question. That is exactly what I did. Check out my channel and other videos and you will see 👍
What about the Coke Bottle grips, Hogue, or other Target or Roper style N-Frame grips? Will those grips fit the Umarex M29?
I’m no expert but I believe the ones I fitted are referred to as coke bottle grips. I’m sure other n frame grips can be fitted with modifications.

Like this, the sparklet will not need to move
A hole in the wood grip to reload the sparklet
Thanks for the message. It uses a 12g as standard. I am considering different options right now but it will continue and not quit. Just hope it works
