    You pop up a lot on my TT01 searches here on the Tube.
    Any advice on the front uprights. MA2 and M6 keep falling out when not tightening firmly ( the screw and black little plate keeping the arms in place)
    Too tight and the turning will have too much friction. When compressing the springs the turn freely but the springs push the arms down and create friction.
    Want them to move freely to have a quicker response in the steering.
    You seem to know a thing or two.

      @@PopalongRC thanks just finished building my car, however servo doesn’t seem to return well from the left to straighten it, what could it be?

    • @PopalongRC
      @PopalongRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      3 things
      1 the car
      2 the servo saver
      3 the servo
      To check car disconnect servosaver and check that the steering mechanism moves freely and is not binding
      The servo saver should be spring loaded and therefore should return back to centre
      If these components are both ok it might be that the servo is damaged or too weak.
      My guess is it is likely an issue with servo saver ….

      @@PopalongRC you are right, it is 100% servo saver, they are very weak and spoke to one of the clubs where I will race, they say common problem unfortunately, replace it with hi-torque one :(. Ordered one now waiting .. :D Thank you so much for detailed response!

    Nice to see another racer still using Nimh, he must be old school like me lol I’m delaying the switch for as long as possible, I got so many Nimh batteries that arnt even at there peak yet, still seem to be holding up against the lipo cars so far,
    Cool video guys

    • @PopalongRC
      @PopalongRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      top to drivers both running NIMH whereas we went over to Lipo. but have had to add weight to the cars to minimise grip roll when turning right. the heavier batteries definitely help with handling.

    • @arrenlambert1486
      @arrenlambert1486 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PopalongRC I have no experience with lipo yet, I was thinking about it for the future as drivers tend to carry a lot less battery’s with lipo.
      Good point though as I didn’t thing about the weight difference, we race on polished flour so no issues with grip roll, more issues getting grip

      I like the idea of using NiMH batteries as I have a mchassis car but hopefully getting a tt02 also. keep costs down. the performance difference must be minimal if there are still top drivers on NiMH power

    • @PopalongRC
      @PopalongRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We switch between the 2
      But tend to opt for lipo more recently

    I will never underline enough how adjustable steering buckle are essential since the stock ones reduce the shocks run on the front and are responsible of an incredibke understeering, traction loss and ess3ntially are garbage...

    Can you please tell me what motor you use or what the club uses the most, they look pretty fast for brushed motors. and what about the ESC and battery types?

    • @PopalongRC
      @PopalongRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We started out with torque tuned but then introduced the core 21 as a cheaper option as we were going through a motor in about a month.
      Hobbywing 1060esc and lipo batteries however some are running NiHms
      3300 is good for a 4-5min heat

    • @PopalongRC
      @PopalongRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Other clubs in the area run slightly different rules such as just torque tuned and only NiMH

      @@PopalongRC sorry for my stupid question but are the core 21 and just torque a Tamiya motors? And between the two which is the fastest?
