    Whilst helping a driver out at Broxtowe for the Iconic Cup we also found the steering knuckles have different over all steering angles on the setup station. There car had an TT01 knuckle on the left and a TT01E on the right. It would spin out instantly but only in one direction. After finding this issue we put both to the TT01E Knuckles and the car was instantly more drivable. Having raced both now the TT01 and the Enhanced version is definitely the way to go. Nostalgia wise i would definitely have an Original TT01 on the shelf with an NSX body from the Euro Cup days in 2004. Even back then the TT01 was a great entry level to middle level club car and long may it continue. If your interested CWIC Winter series in Chippenham Wiltshire is running a TT01 Iconic Stock spec class, Could make some good content ;)

    I just stumbled across your video as I am thinking of starting a TT-01 or 02 as a newbie. I also noticed your Beatties decal! Man, that brings back memories of visiting the store in Reading as a child/teen. Absolutely loved that place.
    Thank you for the comparison.

    I really like tge tt01e, its simple, quite rugged, and fun to drive. Would recommend the alloy motormount, as it prevents the spur/pinion from being eaten by slight flex of the plastic mount. Tamiya did fix the big issues with the car with the E upgrade.

    • @PopalongRC

      That is a worthy upgrade for sure

    This info helps when a tt01 I bought same esc 01 . Kind of feels like a ready to run 16 ball bearings going in.

    I got bits from type E and type R and built a new car but i must say using 2 build manuals and all the adjustment crap that comes with the R version i would say buy a basic tt01 and forget all the nonsense i went through.
    Anyhow ive got a tt01 to build up for my birthday its a mess at this time but i shall get it new again. Tt01 2 gearboxes and 2 motors........approx build cost to running is 250 pounds. The tt01 chassis is amazing have no doubts about buying one.

    So got a TT-01, but after looking at ur video I think it's a TT-01 E. It has the top deck over the shaft. And also has the side bits for the battery.
    Now I'm unsure what it is ?

    • @PopalongRC
      @PopalongRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      If new it is TT01e as the original tt01 is over a decade old

      @Popalong RC that's the problem, brought it 2nd had built as a shelf queen. No manual nothing, u inspired me to run it. It definitely has that top self covering the shaft

      Fairly long mate, roughly about 4/5 club nights, maybe more depending on how you gear it, you can always flush them out with water and oil the bearings for longer run times but for the cost of a tenner I personally use a new one each time I use the car for bigger meetings

    Personally i like tt01E just because the shock tower is molded separately and can be replaced easier vs the original tt01 shock tower being molded to the gear box cover.

    • @PopalongRC
      @PopalongRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      They have not changed a lot but it is definitely now a better car.
