You don't need to run your belt around to the second group of thermal power stations, you can place a sorter from each of the first line to the second line power stations and it will load just fine.

I know what you mean. I am starting to destroy fluid tanks to get rid of it. With the gas giant making unlimited hydrogen it's just over kill. That being said you need a lot of hydrogen to make the green blocks but still not much as I am making.

  • @badzok5136

You can convert all the oil to hydrogen to isolate it to one output of hydrogen. You just loop the hydrogen back through the cracking system a second time while the oil only goes to cracking. You just need to create an overflow for the hydrogen to move on after all the oil is consumed. It's good for setting up cube production.

  • @Atomrofler97

Nice Video, I really appreciate your build!
If you want to build up a red matrix production, you can go for a different build up:
You will Need a refined oil production of 6/s and around that you build 24 refinery’s.
All refinery’s go x-ray cracking, so they will produce 6/s graphite and 18/s hydrogen. But you don’t connect extern hydrogen with them, just make them use their own hydrogen again, so in the end there will be a production of 6/s hydrogen aswell and you can feed exactly 18 matrix labs with this production. All you need to do is put 2 hydrogen in the first oil refinery, so they produce hydrogen for themselves. I was so amazed when I figured that out 😂
Ofc you can double everything with a faster conveyor belt

Ah crap, forgot about those priority function, I had a different setup with more splitters and belts but this one is more simpler. The extra hydrogen you can also use for power. And the graphite you can also use in your labs and overflow in power. Because coal will get used up so better use this technique for infinite graphene. Because you gonna need it later

    • @Anson_AKB
      @Anson_AKB 2 ปีที่แล้ว

i have no idea what to do with the deuterium later, but as soon as i got fractioning, i set up a loop of lots of fractionators. they occasionally convert one hydrogen to deuterium and only those few hydrogen that got converted to deuterium need to be replaced by new ones (which can easily be done with such a splitter or by sideloading), but the rest can loop around forever in an almost unconnected circle (i mean "no need to pass your entire hydrogen production itself through the fractionators").

One oil refinery doing plasma extraction, feed two oil refineries directly that use xray cracking. One xray cracker, don't filter the sorter. The other xray cracker, filter just refined oil. Have two sorters output from first xray cracker (that is receiving unsorted from plasma extraction) to the one receiving only refined oil, have one sorter going back into the unsorted xray cracker from the sorted one, and congrats. You now are producing only graphite and hydrogen from your crude oil at a 1:1 ratio with each other, perfect for making red science.
You don't need a bunch of spaghetti belts to do it either, since the 3 oil refineries are direct feeding each other. The output belt can also be mixed (hydrogen + graphite) and filter splitted with a splitter later. Just make sure you don't connect the output sorters until the two xray crackers are fully running and feeding each other.
Because this setup is pretty much perfect for making red cubes, it's best to make a temporary cheesy setup to get your first 400 red science and get xray cracking first before anything. The rest of red science will be a breeze. This setup produces zero run-off refined oil, so when you reach yellow cubes you'll have to do normal plasma refining with another crude oil source to make your refined oil -> sulphur -> organic crystals -> titanium crystals production line.

    So, upgrade to this:
Crude to refiners as normal. Feed the hydrogen into a splitter with priority to a Planitary Logistics (PL) and the overflow into a bunch of generators. The refined feed into a splitter with priority to the PL and overflow into a bank of xray refinerys. The hydrogen output of the refinerys priority split back to the input of the xray refineries, on the overflow a second splitter with priority the the PL and overflow to the generators. Finally, the Carbon output of the xray ref gets priority split to the PL with overflow to the generators.
*important note* when combining the 3 waste to generator lines, it is important you use priority to burn first the carbon, then the stage 1 hydrogen then the stage 2 hydrogen to avoid jams.
This system will autobalance your changing demands between hydrogen and oil without ever needing more input.

One way to create an overflow system is to stack 2 storage units in a line. Limit the bottom storage to 1 stack (or more if you want a reserve) then run a belt from the top storage unit. The top storage will only get items when the bottom storage unit is full.

Please consider that you can setup your cracking so that you only need to start the hydrogen. I have tested this in my game and it works great. When you setup the Hydrogen, put the feed belt right next to the refineries -- straight from before the first to past the last. Now consider the three Input/Output ports on the refinery which are by that feed belt, the first one, you want to put OUT of the refinery and filter on Hyrdrogen. The next two, you want to have as INPUTs (no filter needed). Make them all Mk I and it works. Put the Plastic in and Carbon out on the other side. Make sure you put a tank to catch the Hydro that gets past the last refinery. Also, a box to catch the Carbon coming off its feed belt. You can let the oil just stack up if you want.
Then, once everything is powered and pulled in the Oil that it needs, drop two -- yeap, just needs two Hydrogen on the input side of the Hydrogen feed belt. It will get snapped up by the first Refinery and it will make 3, it will snap up the first two, but one goes by... and so on.. beautiful to watch...
You can continue to add refineries in that line until the oil stops flowing on its run...

Only use big storages if you really need them. You will need to get to other planets anyway because you cant find all the stuff on your own planet of it will take 10 times more factories and space to do so.
