My way to collect it from the planet ist, that I "local demandet" with a planetary Log tower (no drones in this who demand). From This tower I refill a interstellar Log tower (also no drones). and I "remote demand + local supply" with this. So the planetary ressources going at first in the storage, and the rest will be filled from space. (Sorry, when my english is not "the yellow from the egg". I hope you understand :D )
this was a very amazing and informative video, this is the greatest video i have ever seen in fact, me and the other 5k people that saw this did not deserve to watch something so angelic
You can also just only get hydrogen from gas giants, so that all the hydrogen is built up in the interstellar transit hubs. For refined fuel, just have a coal mine and use reforming to make 2 fuel into 6. (Reforming costs 1 refined fuel, 1 hydrogen, and 1 coal. Processing oil produces 1 hydrogen, so a 1 cleaner to 1 reformer is possible.)
For the amount of Hydrogen you need in the later game, you can built as many collectors around the gas giant as you'd like and still starve on it. You need all the crude oil from the starter and at least the one from another planet + gas giants to work in late game. Especially, when considering the light oil is needed in plastic and therefore the organic crystal and titanium crystal production that you need for the yellow matrix. Currently, I need around 6000 light oil and around 12k hydrogen per minute to operate my base. Just drawing it from a gas giant simply does not do the trick - even with vein utilization at level 22.
Yes this is actually an important note, thank you! I do talk about Graviton Lenses in my video about proliferator (spoilers, not spoilers, proliferator makes the lenses even better in Ray Receivers than normal).
Weirdly enough, I don't have a hydrogen overstock problem, I have a bottleneck problem. Been mining tf out of an ice giant, burning excess graphene I can't handle.
I have a planet that makes solar sails, using fire ice as a source of graphene. It burns hydrogen fine as long as I don't bring batteries. They have a priority. I use antimatter reactors to provide the power if hydrogen runs out It's kinda funny actually. I have dyson sphere with 80GW and I tapping none of it dirrectly on this rock
9:47 - want a quick way to delete without the prompt as well ? press F2 after selecting delete (default: X) and you can bulk delete facilities, belts & sorters to your heart's' content :) thanks for stating the obvious - you could do that better by (after boosting your microphone more): 1. use written prompts, 2. make good examples of the build you're showcasing (ever hear of "sandbox mode" ?) 3. show a working solution, 4. use editing transitions to distinguish the different tech levels or stages of play, along with visual queues and youtube video chapters - all can help a lot to emphasize the point since you read this far, I assume you like what I said above, so: I'll take a time to prepare something similar and showcase it on my channel - all are welcome to come and watch, comment (cause' I'm not perfect either) and share, like, subscribe if you like
There is 1 way of incinerating hydrogen you didn't mention. Send it to particle colliders to make deuterium, then burn that deuterium in thermal generators. Colliders will destroy half of hydrogen outright, and their sheer power load will take care of the rest.
Sure but making things too easy can take the fun out of logistics. At least for me there is a certain satisfaction to balancing tricky factories, and doing it cleanly and optimally.
Unless you are playing 0.1x, everything regular (iron, copper, coal, silicon, titanium etc) will eventually become infinite with that mining research going on forever. If you are playing on 0.1x resources you should know better than this video😅

Nice to see someone else saying good things about reform refine :)
They should add a 3rd option in ILS's : "Delete/Destroy when reaches X amount". Easiest solution.

Love the video! But not deleting everything on the ground in the end is a CRIME

I am going to try your method! I have been playing with ways to get rid of my hydrogen for a bit. Thank you for sharing this!
The Graviton Lenses see also used for Ray receivers to increase their efficiency.

I build casmir crystals. They suck up all the hydrogen.
Awesome video. I made most of it into oil for plastic for purple science
Never bothered myself with it, just set up burning of it in a correct way.

Wish I had the "Excess Hydrogen" problem.

Burning deuterium has the same problems as burning hydrogen, in my opinion. I'm not the biggest fan of this method but it's definitely a possibility!
Thanks for the video!
this shit would be so much easier with factorio combinators
just set oil to make when hydrogen is low and there is spare oil
and vice versa
Sure but making things too easy can take the fun out of logistics.

@@yunochill9304 as someone who never really used combinators i still find them more fun to find applications for than juat base logistics
Now to figure out coal on a low resource file. The problem here is fire ice is infinite, coal isn't.

Nice video
if u have excess hydrogen then some facilitys are under developed xD
Sounds like you haven't made it to the end game yet ;)
No i dont know... whats your name? Kek 😂
Cringe
