This might sound stupid but considering using it as a handle to start record, engage auto focus, and even map the C1 as MF mode on a shoulder rig with the 18-105mm PZ with an FX30 or a larger setup like FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G huge lens and replace probably the left handle of the Tilta shoulder rig which will carry less weight than the right one when pushed the alignment to the left. Might check other alternatives though but I can see it working perfectly and using a manual focus wheel when needed to go manual. If only it was made of more sturdy materials. If I could use the FX6 grip it would be great but I don't think it works with A7SIII/FX30.
I also have a few sony cameras and not much of a budget. My collection consists of a7iii, a6000and RX100m7. I recently got this shooting grip, but for the RX0ii. The Rx0m2 is compact, rugged and waterproof. The one inch sensor is great and so easy to carry.
Sony RX 10 Mark IV has Bluetooth, Does it works with this tripod? Website do not list it in the compatible cameras, however will Bluetooth allow at least picture and video switch to work
I just got one of these -- and in all honesty it's just way too overpriced for what it does, and that was even with a Black Friday deal. Probably going to return it and get the Smallrig version instead.
Hi, need some help. I am going to buy a Sony ZV E10 but cannot decide on lenses. I will use the camera to do a little bit of everything, stock photos and videos, TH-cam vlogs and I also want to take it with me when I travel. Most TH-camrs recommended the best lens for this camera is Sigma 16mm F1.4 but tbh I am a bit concerned with the shaking footages from it. What do you think about the TAMRON 17-70MM F2.8 instead for Sony ZV E10? I also want to get the SONY GP-VPT2BT grip, will it tip over with the TAMRON 17-70MM F2.8 lens coz the camera body is lighter than the lens?
@@quangpham464 Oh ok because I’m getting a Sony ZV1 Mark II to replace my old camera in a few months from now and I’m trying to find a shooting grip that can work well with my Sony ZV1 Mark II Vlogging Camera, so far there are only like two or three options and I saw a couple of videos in which this particular shooting grip is being used with a Sony ZV1 Mark II so that’s why I asked you. I also heard that the mounting hole slot on the bottom of the Sony ZV1 Mark II is placed on the side instead of the middle unlike the Sony ZV1.
Think you'll pick one of these up? Or have you already got one? Let me know!
Dammmm
1:22 for those interested, it is also fully compatible with the ZV-E1 👍
Great video.
If you have a heavier lense, just spin the camera to face the middle tripod leg, and the problem with stability is gone
This is the best review of the product on TH-cam. Thanks for being very thorough!
Glad you found it useful!

Nice review on this grip!
Does the video feature have a pause button. ...or do you have to stop and start and then edit? Thank you for the nice video!
Thanks for your honest review.
Is the zoom button pressure sensitive? Meaning I could zoom slowly or faster depending on how much I press the button down ?
I was looking at the inkee ironbee as an alternative, but never pulled the trigger on getting one.
Looks like a pretty decent alternative. I really like the idea of the detachable remote control, especially at that price!
will this keep the camra from moving well walking

How do I turn off the tripod
What about zoom latency? I'm considering using this with the pz 18-105 for covering live events.
You think they sell a screen protector for the screen? Just bought the grip and zv1 today
does the grip work with a canon g7x mark ii ?
How far away from the camera you can use this grip as a remote trigger?
Congratulations on your detailed review! Is it compatible with HDR AX33, A6000 A5100? Can it be twisted vertically?
Can you control the speed of the power zoom by how much force ou press the button or it is one speed fixed action?
@ArronPrescott Please, could you tell what camera and lens you are using here?
And also, the camera settings being used.
Does this work with Sony Xperia Pro I or Sony Xperia 1 Mark V??
Does this work with Canons?

What Smallrig model? Thx.
Edit: I returned it to Amazon, but found a brand new open but unused one on ebay for £60!
does the grip work with sony a6300?
The first line in the description asks if this review is worth buying, not the grip itself.
Oops! Thanks for the heads up
Can I control it with my Xperia 1 iii?
Can I use this for a G7Xcannon camera
does it have image stablilzer?
