We create travel, food reviews in East Tennessee! A couple questions about the ZV-1...since we are a couple and one is usually holding the camera it seems from watching other reviews that the audio is much better on the front of camera. Is this your experience? Also, when walking side by side I'm assuming that one person will be in focus and the other not so much with eye tracking on? Thank you guys for all the great content!!
I'm glad you asked this question- I'm creating content around bariatric surgery- tips, tricks, product reviews, recipes- I just picked this camera up after your recommendation- my question is this: how do I know if my channel is needed? I worry I'm making content in a vacuum and that my topic isn't needed on TH-cam
Thank you so much for this Video. I purchased this Camera about 7 months ago. I haven't use it yet. I really love recording on my Phone. Its so easy. I have to Start Getting more Comfortable with Recording with a Camera.
Great info here. I got this camera to document my artwork and travels easier. The ZV-1 allows me to have a great video camera that is super easy to use...right in my pocket!
Hi Think Media 😉, thanks a lot for your great videos like this one! 😃 I just ordered a Sony ZV-1 and this video is exactly what I need to prepare myself for it' s arrival. I' m doing Game Videos, Reviews and live streaming of me playing on PC, PS5 or Nintendo Switch and so far I was using my Canon M50 and my Canon Powershot GX7 Mark III, and both of them have a kinda weak 4K function... The Powershot is overheating superfast and it needs forever to cool down and it can Film in 4K only up to 10 min., even though I love it that it' s camera is on top and not on the side like on most other vlogging cams. The M50 at least reaches 30 Min. without overheating but it' s crazy image field crop makes it often unusable too... So at the End I' ll go fot the ZV-1 as my main Camera, I will use the Powershot for recording other angles and I will continue to use my M50 as my camera for Streaming, because for that, with a connected AC battery it is just perfect 😉👌👍. Thanks a lot for your hints again, I' m looking forward to try out my new ZV-1. P. S.: If you might have a look at my channel and if you want to give me some tips as an experienced Vlogger, please feel free to do so 😉👍 I would be very greatful. Please keep in mind that I' m directly using the cheap Playstation Camera for my PS5 streams on purpose, because I like it to just sit on my couch and use the PS5s built in streaming function and for this function unluckily only the two Playstation Cameras (for PS4 with an adapter and the original PS5 Camera) are supported...
I just purchased this camera and this video helped to answer questions that I didn't even know I had! I plan to start vlogging soon, so I'm really excited to apply these setting tips and tricks to my videos.
I just started vlogging! I struggled a lot with Final Cut Pro and my Macbook Air but I think I know how to use it a little bit better now. Thanks for the tips! :)
I just ordered this camera. I do how to woodworking content and tool reviews. I’ve been using my phone, GoPro hero8, and a Saramonic blink wireless lav. Love the mic. Time to up my game with a better camera.
Happy new year !!!😍😍😍 what are the best setting to shot video indoor, with lights, and in order to do skincare or beauty video? Or just to look great? I like the quality of your video
Thanks for these tips. Answering your question, I've ordered the Zv1 to use it for product showcasing. My channel is focused on unboxing and testing smartphones.
Great tips, thanks! I create virtual walking tours videos in different cities (manly London) and Sony ZV-1 is definitely going to replace my Samsung S10e as a video recording camera. Also I need a compact gimbal to stabalise the video while walking.
I am going to use my camera for making a channel about being a Live In Carer for the elderly in the United Kingdom, I hope my experience can help younger carers coming into the job
I create content on how to improve your golf, I have been doing so for 6 years and have just purchased the SonyZV1 to up my production value. Thanks for this video it is really helpful. Brian
I just purchased this camera and I will use it for my channel which is mostly car content. I’ve built my Channel based on my iPhone but I am getting to the point where I can’t use my phone everytime and need a dedicated unit! This camera is a good beginner cam for me plus the accessories I already have
Excellent video! I am still waiting for my ZV-1 to arrive, but after watching this video, I think I made a great choice! I do firearms reviews and my current setup is my DSLR for on-table shots and my GoPro Hero 8 for shots on the gun range. GoPro is great and the stabilization there is fantastic, but for the video quality just does not look that great IMO.
Thanks Omar. Good tips and very helpful. I just purchased this camera and am learning how to use it. It helps that I have other Sonys, so at least the menu isn't totally foreign to me. I'm recently retired and just two months ago started a TH-cam channel to "pick fun of myself" explaining country life. So that's what I'm using the camera for. Keep the videos coming!
Bought this camera in 2021 and i love it. I create content with educational topics regarding health and fitness along with entertainment like dance and travel
I bought the Sony zv1 for family vlogging, mainly for my wife to be able to use without thinking about the camera settings. I'm still working out which modes are best to shoot in and have found that in "P" mode, the shutter speed will go below the frame rate which is something I never want. I've found that for shooting indoors, shooting in 24fps with 1/50 shutter, f/1.8, AWB and AUTO ISO works fine for my wife to use. But outdoors, turning on the ND with those settings isn't good enough (highlights are still blown out). I would love to hear more details on the different modes and how/when to use them to maximize the camera. I use the memory recall mode personally the most but still looking for other more automated options that still produce a good quality image.
JV has covered tonnes of important settings of using ZV-1 th-cam.com/video/WJNiF1UBmgc/w-d-xo.html To protect highlight from blown out, either disable the face exposure priority or shoot in HLG mode to preserve the best dynamic range. But that HLG method takes extra time as you need to edit in post.
Producing wildlife footage and vlogging in addition to a Sony A7III as a second camera. Obviously havent had it long yet first video was not bad with the grip but next time will use a longer tripod arm to gain a wider shot!
Hi Omar! Just wanted to say thanks for this video. I'm a complete novice so this was very helpful, I have set up all my faveourite settings now. Cheers!
I'm creating how-to videos about planners and writing. My videos about writing are mainly what I call "talking head" videos, and my planner-related content tends to be overhead recordings. Thanks for this!
Just bought this camera, and I love it for vlogging! But it overheats and shuts off after about 20 minutes of continuous shooting. I've lost footage because it overheats and then shuts itself off and I don't know that it's off! This is a MAJOR problem! If I'm going to do a 30 minute "talking heads" video, I must stop somewhere in the middle and let it cool down and/or change the overheated battery. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Think Media I don’t know what OEM is. it’s the battery that came with the camera. Sony NP-BX1 lithium ion type x. It happens outside, and it happens inside, in the air conditioning. I am not shooting 4K.
@@LiveSimpleLiveFree I sometimes use it for 3 hours of continuous shooting and have no problem. Meanwhile, its charging and sending the video through HDMI capture stuff.
Got this new Sony ZV-1today to test as a possible option for quick-turnaround newsand current affairs films for a major UK broadcaster. Currently slinging a Panasonic GH5S... which I love... but want to see if can go simpler and more effective for on-the-day stories.
I just got this camera for work (at-home video production) and wanted to learn about all the settings. Your tips were so helpful. Thank you! Also nice hat, love Rhuigi!! And are those donuts from Carl’s?
I'm currently making RC Airplane flight footage and review content. At the moment I'm stuck using my phone's selfie camera for most of the to-camera shots, and the 4k camera on the phone to film other things. GoPro is on the aircraft providing the flight footage. I want to take my videos to the next level for both video and audio. Having a dedicated "ground" camera that has all these features and also allows me to use my phone as an actual phone, as well as the ability to create higher quality interior product showcase clips will hopefully help me make my content more "palatable".
I have a religious channel (in Spanish). BTW, excellent informative video. I recently got my ZV-1 and I love it. (still learning how to use it, taking notes from this video). Blessings
Recording reviews for the newest snacks hitting shelves. Just got the camera and still need to tweak it to best suit my surroundings for my videos! Love this video, thank you for the tips/tricks.
I would love to see a video with the best settings for video makers like me. I do tutorials on paper crafting, so basically you only see my hands. There are many like me but I can’t find a video that gives the best settings with a zv-1. My camera struggles to focus, I don’t know how to fix it. Thanks! Love your videos
I saw on youtube that you can actually attach a wide angle lens for this camera! I was also hesitant to buy this camera because of that, but I finally bought it. Good thing its possible to still attach a lens on it. Its really good!!
I did my research and because the ZV-E10 production was paused and it’s no where to be found, I bought the ZV-1. I looked and researched different types of camera for both photography and videography. I decided for podcast and health and fitness type videos such as day of eating, how I train, vlogging my bodybuilding and entrepreneur journey, etc. Was this the right choice for its budget I would love to know from someone with your knowledge within the camera field
