hi! how do I off the tripod when I am not using? or issit automatically off when I off my camera? do I need to disconnect it every time I am done using it with my camera?

Just lock the tripod via the lock button and you won't have to disconnect it. I usually put camera in airplane mode to save battery so it disconnects it
