Question of the Day 💡 What kind of videos are you making with your Sony ZV-E10? Let me know. ** Watch other videos in our Sony ZV-E10 series on Think Media here ➡ th-cam.com/play/PLgc0GNip2uYUBP3UKcU-1oe7FzY5kv17R.html
I don’t think there is anyone better at product reviews than Omar. Even if he’s not being genuine I would never know nor would I care. He is the product bible
Omar you're doing a great job with your reviews and content. You really continue the original vibe that Sean brought while still making it your own. Very easy to watch, very informative. I keep getting blown away by this camera so versatile. Lots of great recommendations for accessories too. Keep up the great work!
I'm looking to upgrade the quality of my music videos here on TH-cam and can speak for countless others by saying thank you for informing us so well on this stuff!
The Sony shotgun looks and sounds the best by far. A smooth dynamic sound but not overly boomy with nice clarity. wondering if you could run it simultaneously with a 3.5 mm lavalier for street interview scenarios.
A tip (if you are using Premiere) when using mics with stereo-sound and two mono-clips "baked in". BEFORE putting them on your timeline, select the clips in your project bin and press "clip - modify - audio channels". In the popup box change the "number of audio clips" to 2 and on the first clip change the checkmarks to left and on the second hit the checboxes to right. After that your Deity Duo's clips will act as though they have two seperate audio-tracks on the timeline :) I use this feature all the time when I record audio with my DJI Mics :) Awesome video btw! Kind regards Jørgen
DUDE you set me up!! I literally am 300 watched hours from monitizing the YT page and someone commented on my shitty cam(during close-ups), NEVER AGAIN!! Bought the camera and this overview of accessories is AMAZINGLY THOROUGH! Thanks man! Subbed and followed! I'll go over the tips and tricks as soon as i get the camera!
Never let it rest. Til your good is better and your better is best. I'm here again to support the content creator. Thank you for continuous uploading. Greetings to all the viewers here.
Hi Omar. Thank you for your review. I just received my ZV E10 yesterday. The recommendations for the Sony Vlogger kit was also on my list. I bought the Rode Vlogger kit as well and hopefully the mic will sound decent. Definitely like the Diety duo mic and the suggestions for the ND lens and screen protector. Now to start playing with these things. Grownup toys are the best! Thanks again! ☮️
multi-interface sony shotgun mic and deity mini shotgun sound similar. Also Appreciate the seamless integration of the sony interface and also appreciate the gain setting and boom mounting capability of the deity. I would go with sony shotgun. I luv the neat & compact setup.
Omar, thank you for making this video! I am looking for a vlogging camera upgrade. I was thinking of JUST upgrading my canon g7x mark II to mark III.... because I am not so sure about Sony's vlogging camera quality. But with your videos of camera comparisons, I finally found the upgrade that I wanted. I am going with Sony ZV-E10 and thank you for breaking down the accessories that are needed. Been watching your reviews the past few days because I can't decide what to get! Thank you again! ❤️🥰
Great video Omar! I am new to all of this so am really interested in what accessories you would use to set up a video shooting music. A lot of the videos I’ve seen on TH-cam either focus on vlogging or how to record sound for music, but nothing to bring the two together. I play ukulele and guitar and record videos of me playing / singing (not great!) but would love to see how you would set up anything differently for a music video. Would you do something different with your mics to catch voice vs. the instrument? Where do you plug all this stuff in? How can you edit all this stuff. Anyway, not sure if this is in your wheelhouse, but would be interesting.
I think the sony gun mic is the best I liked the audio from it and how’s its wireless to keep the set up really clean, recently got this camera and these videos are all super helpful man keep doing updates on the camera looking forward to seeing some more videos
I just purchased this camera, seen/heard a lot of great things about it. I feel like it would be perfect for what I'm trying to do (recording various DJ sets for TH-cam). Thanks for these tips! Would you recommend plugging the camera in via USB to use with OBS Studio, or just connect via capture card/HDMI? Is the video quality the same?
I’m very new to photography and videography, and am getting a Sony ZV E-10. I can’t afford to buy a ton of lenses at once, but I’d like a lens that can be used for talking head videos indoors, as well as cooking videos (so slightly lower lighting), and taking photographs of gemstones/jewelry. I cut opals, and struggle to get good shots of them. It may be impossible to find a lens that can do both, but if you had to pick a starter, which would you choose for those options? And if I could afford two, which two would you select for those criteria? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give. I’ve watched your videos, but not sure I know enough to select without asking first. Thanks❤
This video was so helpful. I am expecting the Sony ZV-E10 this Saturday as it was shipped and looking into some of these accessories! So appreciate the tips (:
I’ve been debating this camera vs a6400 to upgrade from my a6000! I’m looking to a hybrid camera (video & photography) for YT & blog photos.. would you say that the zv-e10 is a good camera for both photo & video?
Man, you guys have to start putting your songs in your description! I love all the music and use epidemic sound myself, but you guys just have the best songs aha
Thanks for sharing guys, got to say, for me the Sony shotgun mic sounded the best, plan to get this camera soon so will look to buying something like that 👍
I agree about the dodginess of the Joby gorilla pod, I'm afraid. I smashed a bit off a camera once when the joby just gave way without warning during a locked off shot up on a kitchen worksurface. It caused the whole thing to topple off the worktop and onto the floor.
this is now my dream camera replacing the canon m50. I am a tech and music youtuber and do unboxings of the producs i by and use so the product showcase feature is a plus for me. also the headphone jack since i plan to be unique and use a headphone to monitor myself while doing my sitdown talking head vlogs.
Sony gun sounds great compared to on-board. Lav mic sounds muffled...bass heavy...but hey, it's wireless right? The Deity sounds good too, but only front facing one. First test rear mic was very faint, but second time much better. Pretty great for $50
Yes, just turn on the automatic turn power off, to high, I've tested for more then 1 hour and never turned off, it did show a message after a while but it never turned off...
Of course, the battery matters big time! ;) Thanks for sharing this one!! I'm still waiting on your response about the lenses.. Hoping to hear back from you soon! Stay safe and blessed!
Would there be any difference between using the camera with the DC adapter for the battery or using it while charging via USB-C? The only drawback I can see is that the usb-c connection makes it difficult to see the flip screen. Thank you!
Wow the D4 Duo is so good. Happy that's the one I went with. I liked it because I could use it with my iphone OR a camera when i upgraded which I have now done. Do you have a video that shows how to adjust the gain with the D4 Duo on the ZV e10? A funny moment for me watching this video.... I was recently having SUCH a meltdown not being able to get my mic to work at all with my new camera 😅and watching your video I was like "HEY! That's not where I was plugging the mic in!".... 😂 What a rookie. I had been plugging it in to the headphone jack not the mic jack... That is too embarrassing NOT to share.
Thanks a lot Man Actually I'm planning to get this Camera Sony ZV-E10 for my TH-cam TECH videos and this video is very helpful I really appreciated WISH U ALL THE BEST
Thanks so much for this video. I was sold on the Sony mics until you tested the Deity. My only concern with the Deity Duo is how it would sound in a loud area and will it be picking up noise directly from the front and back of the camera/mic.
I really need an octopus tripod stand and the lighting that i can use when doing outdoor videos. I am using my android phone to record it is not easy but we keep moving. Thanks for this wonderful video
What teleprompter would you recommend for this camera using in a studio for talking head videos? I already have the Padcaster Parrot that I've used with my iPhone. Do you think I can use that on my ZV-E10 lens?
The shotgun mic is a game changer. Night/Day over the onboard! That will be my first add-on. I'm still worried about the 4GB limit :/ Have you found that you lose time when it splits?
Hi!! Thanks for the video! Can you tell me which nd lenses do i need for the kit lens? I opened the link from the description, but that shows a 43mm. Did i missed something? Is that the good one? Because the lense says 40.5...
Hi, Not sure if anyone will respond, but I am almost ready to pull the trigger today on this. Just two questions. Does the EV10 allow for soft skin filter during livestream, and do I need Zoom or OBS or can I just livestream right from TH-cam? I have watched a ton of your videos and I am starting to get analysis paralysis. Please and thank you!
Fantastic Video. I was hoping you would sound test the ECM-G1. The bigger Sony you tested sound pretty darn good. Any clue how they compare? There are better deals on the BIG one, but, it's.... BIG. :)
So will the Rode Wireless Go will work with this camera? I already have one and didn't want to have to buy another mic if the Rode will work. Also, do you know if there is a remote that would work with this camera? I know the self-timer has 10 second setting, but I'm not sure that would be enough time for me to press the button and get back to my yoga mat to take a photo of a pose. Thanks!

Thank so much I will be back for Amazon affiliate Let me fix my TH-cam
Considering guitar tutorial videos with one or two of these cameras for different angles
I'm using my ZV E10 to make videos for my TH-cam channel.

Is that camera not to close to his face?
I've been looking for a portable camera for vlogging, i think my search is over. Going for this👍🏽 thanks Think Media
I'm looking to upgrade the quality of my music videos here on TH-cam and can speak for countless others by saying thank you for informing us so well on this stuff!
Thank you! I love my Sony EV10. I would LOVE tutorials on how to use different functions on the camera for complete beginners.
That Essentials hat SLAPS bro
I'm out here!

Or just Davinci and add a fix stereo effect to your sound. Ez pz
My Sony ZV-E10 just arrived Monday so I appreciate all of your information. This is my first vlogging camera.
Little guy gets the job done at a great price.
EXTREMELY HELPFUL. Just bought a Sony ZV-E10. (For nearly double the price with this chip shortage) Seriously, Thank you Think Media for the tips.
How’s the experience?
Omar - I've been watching your videos for a while now, but this video has so much underrated value. Thanks for the valuable content!
DUDE you set me up!! I literally am 300 watched hours from monitizing the YT page and someone commented on my shitty cam(during close-ups), NEVER AGAIN!! My face with the sony shotgun mic 😮 also that sony power adapter is dope!
For SD cards, the main number that matters is the V rating... V30 or higher is what you want. That is certified WRITE speed.
I can’t help but notice the plant blocks the door as a prop. That’s actually great for me for a problem I’m having on my background.

Omar your reviews are always so thorough and enjoyable to watch. The diety sounds amazing for the price!
i feel like a mastermind after watching all yall videos
I would also reccomend a small rig cage since the ZVE10 is relatively small.
What Macbook is that... looking for the best macbook value for mostly youtube/video editing
That dual mic is dope. As a sound engineer makes me so happy. Buying it for sure. Dope videos!
Very helpful. Picking up this camera today so this video is spot on.
The shotgun mic sounds best to me. Thank you for doing this video.
Sony shotgun mic is nice. I'll get it in the future
Hi Omar. Thank you for your review. I just received my ZV E10 yesterday. The recommendations for the Sony Vlogger kit was also on my list. I just bought one today, thank you so much for this advice!
Thanks Omar for another incredible video. I like the Sony shotgun mic, great balance with bass and treble and volume output.

Loved this video! Which lens were you using during the mic test? Looks good!
Such a great video !!! Im upgrading my youtube setup and this is exactly what I needed.

Tripods are truly lifesavers! 😀😆
I think the sony gun mic is the best I liked the audio from it and how’s its wireless to keep the set up really clean, recently got this camera and these videos are all super helpful man keep doing updates on the camera looking forward to seeing some more videos
Thanks for recommending these products. I think I will probably get the last mic with as it sounds great when you flipped the camera around
Great review my man! Thank you! I liked the sony shotgun mic personally :)
I just purchased this camera, seen/heard a lot of great things about it. I feel like it would be perfect for what I'm trying to do (recording various DJ sets for TH-cam). Thanks for these tips!

@@ThinkMediaTV thank you 🙌🏾
Brilliant video
Does the Sony wireless lab mic need to be charged up at all?
Thanks
Hey I checked out your link for the filter, What size do I need for the kit lens? Loving your videos thanks
This is the most helpful and informative channel
Thank you!!!
Man, you guys have to start putting your songs in your description! I love all the music and use epidemic sound myself, but you guys just have the best songs aha
Thank you, Omar! What kind of lens should I use with this camera to create educational content (courses)? Keep it up Think Media!
Thanks for sharing guys, got to say, for me the Sony shotgun mic sounded the best, plan to get this camera soon so will look to buying something like that 👍

Nice!
Royal Oak 😍
Great review, I’m waiting on mine to arrive this was really helpful. If some one sees this any ideas on what type of flash to add would be great.
I use the Sony ECM-XYST1M which I previously used with the Sony RX100 MkII - brilliant little mic!
Duo was the best.
Duo mic for the win! 🥇
Sony gun sounds great compared to on-board.
Lav mic sounds muffled...bass heavy...but hey, it's wireless right?
The Deity sounds good too, but only front facing one. First test rear mic was very faint, but second time much better. Pretty great for $50
5:28 do you keep the filter on the lense all the time or only put it on when you need it?
Fantastic info 🙏🏽♾
Deity mini and duo is pretty good❤️
Can Sony ZV-E10 be used to stream more than 30 mins without switching off? Looking forward to read from you. Thanks.
Yes it can record for longer than 30 minutes without turning off. The ZV-E10 has no recording time limits.
Thanks 👍
Yes, just turn on the automatic turn power off, to high, I've tested for more then 1 hour and never turned off, it did show a message after a while but it never turned off...
@@RandomBrendon Awesome. Thanks
If you get that battery that connects straight to power at 7:15, you won't have issues.
Thank you ben looking for these exact accessories for the Sony zv E10
Omar is making great content!❤️
GG Man!❤️
OMAR thank you so much for your quality content and excellent review, you helped me a lot on this one! good job!
You have the best reviews man! Not only the quality and didactics, but you are really good as an youtuber! :D
Of course, the battery matters big time! ;) Thanks for sharing this one!! I'm still waiting on your response about the lenses.. Hoping to hear back from you soon! Stay safe and blessed!
If I do talking head style videos, do I need the lens kit or can I use the naked setup? Thanks for the review!
BestBuy has a deal right now that if you buy the camera, the Sony ends up being $99! I got both yesterday and I’m so excited.
Would there be any difference between using the camera with the DC adapter for the battery or using it while charging via USB-C? The only drawback I can see is that the usb-c connection makes it difficult to see the flip screen. Thank you!
Fantastic Review!!
This a great video, really appreciate as I am close on making a decision on this camera. Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing your honest review sir happy watching here
thank you so much for making this video and for the playlist! i've booked marked it so i can watch them all!

Thanks so much for this video. I was sold on the Sony mics until you tested the Deity. My only concern with the Deity Duo is how it would sound in a loud area and will it be picking up noise directly from the front and back of the camera/mic.
You want to get a Deity mic with a muff. That should work and filter the sound.
I really need an octopus tripod stand and the lighting that i can use when doing outdoor videos. I am using my android phone to record it is not easy but we keep moving. Thanks for this wonderful video
Thank you I’m getting this camera hopefully by Christmas this is great for knowing what to get.

hey, did you end up buying the 40.5mm?? I am about to buy it
