BMW 328Xi 2007 Changing Fuel Injectors

- In this video, we change the fuel injectors in our 2007 BMW 328Xi.
We actually changed them twice. The first time around, we cheaped out and bought a reman set. They were a great price, $44 or so each plus a core charge. Well, they did fix one problem, but they created new problems. They ran ok but after stopping and restarting, (every time), the engine was miss-firing all over the place, on different cylinders. It cleared eventually but it was bad enough to trigger multiple codes!
We abandoned the remanufactured ones for OEM, original equipment manufacturers, and YES they cost more money. A lot more money. $168 each.
You will be tempted, they are new sets of 6 out there for around $80 for a full set. If you go this way tell us in the comments if it worked for you.
Tell us as well, if you had to send them back and buy OE. It will help future BMW owners when they are thinking about new fuel injectors!

Yes it is a tough one to choose. I will say that since installing the new injectors they have been trouble free. Even though the cost is high.

Hi, could disconnecting the battery for a small period reset the computer fuel trim? Thanks very much
No not at all on these cars. you need to have a diagnostic tool that can talk to the computer.

What about if you start the car, remove the fuel pump fuse and let it run until turns off itself... Easy and no other tools to release the fuel pressure...
